ENTRY # 1

A Lover, and A Stranger

it was a Monday morning when you I first saw
the sunlight hit you softly and it left me in awe
I just started at my coffee didn't notice it spill
I felt a bit lonely, my whole life just until

each day I would ask them, all my friends I do shove
think I'm over reacting when I say "I'm in love...".
but each time I see you, I get frozen stuck in place
you would pass me without notice, sadness paints my face

butterflies fill my stomach, tales of birds and the bees
to put my arms all around you, I wish for some ease
your hair dancing in the wind, blue eyes mix with brown
flushed cheeks I will notice, you take away my frown

you walk as if dancing, to describe you I say "graceful"
each movement you make, I compare it to an angel
I keep staring at your features, those red luscious lips
it paralyzes my whole body, looking at a lovely eclipse

I would wait for a century, just to figure out your name
I will not falter don't worry, I'd gladly accept all the pain
and without a doubt in me, I know this... you're worth it
none can bring the justice, all I can say is "you're perfect"

ENTRY # 2

Lost Familiarity

Recounting that terrible night
Heavenly dreams turned to blight
Clueless looks and stoic glances
Filial friendship turned to mess
I could never forget that day
When you first appeared my way
The hidden beauty in your eyes
Hidden emotions said twice
The smile creasing your face
The silent appeal of your grace
I fell for you the first time I saw you
This feeling is nothing new
As strong as sugarless coffee
Dusts of pulverized familiarity
Hurts like the sting of a bee
How can you be so carefree
An eclipse of reason and sanity
We greet like having a secret enmity
This love I never asked for
This love that closed your door
I could only wish we be friends again
I could still endure the pain
I wish you to fare well
In love and care you always dwell
He shan't hurt you I pray
Knock him to oblivion if I may
Become strangers we had
I hope you are not mad
Love you, that's all I could do
Hoping against hope he loves you true..

ENTRY # 3

Secret Longings of the Heart

The days when I was a child
Taking care of me very mild
Feeding me with milk gently
While seeping his coffee slowly

Watching me to sleep
Proud of a great reap
Hoping someday I’ll grow
To be a good fellow

We had some bonding moments
We’d walk together with sentiments
If only I could freeze that time
And cherish it for a lifetime

Yes, I had grown
But this time unknown
His vices overtook
Our bind unhook

I should have made the move
For our love to improve
But I had my share
I really did not care

An illness brought you back home
But your vices never let you alone
We really did tried to stop you
To the point we cried in front of you

Then the day came
An eclipse of feelings
Stinging like a bee
Straight to the heart of me

Wherever you are now
I hope your doing fine
This I promise, I will take care of mother
I love you so much, my perfect stranger, my father.

ENTRY # 4

Perfect Stranger

Morning starts by,bee's and birds fly by
Illussion of questions soaring up high
A Breathless emotion of burden from the past
As the smoke of shadow introducing its cast..

A Devil prepare the suits for disguise
Whispering you to make and commit some lies
An Angel that fools your eyes
Deceiving the truth to forget and denies..

A Joker wearing an unhappy smile
Making you laugh even for a while
An Unknown stranger ready to reveal
Playing a game out of the real..

Before the eclipse of mind over heart
Trying to separate from where it all start
With a Glass of coffee full of doubt
Along came an answer nobody has shout..

A rain of teardrops nulled its face
Time to wear a mask without a trace
This Identity that's been hiding within me..
Yes,It is me,the Perfect Stranger you want to be..

ENTRY # 5
Perfect Stranger

Bees are bumbling around my porch,
As if they are telling me a sign,
Of someone or something to come,
Lingering till the break of dawn.

As I went to see the sunset while sitting on my chair,
A peculiar scene in the horizon illustrated it self,
The moon did not show nor the sun did not set,
Then everything stopped like a void frozen in time.

I stood up in my chair and gaze upon this phenomenon
I waited for everything to be normal like after an eclipse.
Upon waiting I saw an image of a man coming near where I am
And an ere intoxicating feel ensued in me.

The man came closer and closer and the image slowly becomes clear.
The intensity of the feel became random.
First it was hyper and unstable like coffee,
And suddenly was dreamy and calm like liquor.

Finally the man arrived at my position and stood still in front of me
And I saw who it was in that tight formal attire
It shivered my bones till it could no longer shiver.
Because what I saw is my self came to see me die.

ENTRY # 6

Alone

Coffee on one hand,
Blankly I stand.
In this crowd I don't belong,
I manage to stay for so long.

A hunch which is bothering me for a while,
I manage to let go for sometime.
Why does it keep on bugging me,
Lingering on a flower just like a bee.

Acceptance that is so rare,
All I can do is try not to care.
But my soul is asking for more,
And stabbing me, into my core.

A jolt of realization,
I can't move for so long.
It hit me like a thunder,
In this world where I'm a stranger.

I never thought this would happen,
Like eclipse, this change is so sudden.
A decision I have to make,
To find my happiness whatever it would take.

ENTRY # 7

Perfect Stranger

As I face my work from day to day
A routine, a cycle that always play
In a cyber room where strangers flock
I find myself looking for a talk

Suddenly a message popped up
It came from someone, a mysterious chap
I stared and tried to think
I replied and that started our link

Since then we’ve been online buddies,
buzzing on each other just like bees
The friendship between us slowly flourished
Our closeness is something that kept me worried

And then we met, had a cup of coffee
You're like an eclipse, that's something to see
While you smiled and led me the way
the uneasy feeling slowly faded away

Strangers, that's what we used to be…
Now, are we a pair, oh so suddenly?
Lots of things are still hidden about you,
yet I’m quickly getting attached to you.

Still I’m afraid on the risk that all's a fraud.
My worries and thoughts, I put on hold
Never did I know, things could be this way
How can I escape the confusion and get away?

I don’t want to leave and say good bye,
‘Coz I know it would hurt and make me cry
You’re the perfect stranger who stole my heart
And deep inside me I don't want us to part.

Still it's you I always think about
No matter if my friends are all full of doubt
Pathetic and insane though it may seem
Call it foolishness, whatever, but this brings me to beam.

ENTRY # 8

Mini Stop
[where are you?]

Its Tuesday, tenth of February
The day after the penumbral eclipse.
Im on a trip, Im on a hurry
My school attendance is on a killing spree!

Jumping on a jeepney, San Juan- Divi
Beating the rush, the ride swerved like a bee
Then suddenly it paused
A UE girl aboard and sat beside me.

I stared for her a little, she replied a glance
Don’t know why but she did at once.
Good thing I’m late…..
Without knowing I might catch a date!

Fingers dashed through her hair
Her butt slide close to my chair
She typed a message on a phone, you know what it says
“Care for a coffee? At ministop I’ll be waiting”

(@ V-Mapa), The moment of truth comes, now she’s leaving and I’m on to follow
She suddenly turned left and I turned right.
Where did that ministop go? Nowhere to locate.
Great!...thanks to my sense of direction, now she’s afar and now I’m absent!

ENTRY # 9

PERFECT STRANGER

Your name slipped
between my fingers
Like the sand in the shore
where my feeling still lingers

I stole your smile
That melts my skin
Whilst I vaguely remember
who you might have been?

We walked together
In the moonlit night
At a place once somehow
my feelings took flight

I just stared at the eclipse
While sipping my coffee
Dreamed to fly freely
Just like a bee.

Who are you
To steal my soul?
I want to know you
The one who captured me whole.

ENTRY # 10

Perfect Stranger

It was a day that you walk to me like a bloom
As light come forth attached to you by a loom
Your radiant beauty cause the sun to eclipse
Just by your look can demise a summer lips

Maybe it is a sin to be demented upon your beauty
Or treat you as the invincible yet simple deity
Everyone cowers as you move with a face of frown
Cold smile nimble as trials may seem impossible for a clown

I sip my coffee as I reminisce of your face
I am numb to the heat, I can’t catch to my pace
You stung me at my heart like a million bee
Soothing through my body, oblivion is inside me

Trembled by your vigorous presence
My mouth can’t mount a single word of its essence
My lips fill will shatter in a matter of second
Falling lips now stumble where to bound

You hold my hand and vanquish my fears
You showed me heaven behind those tears
A perfect stranger you might belie to be
But you alter my thoughts being with you and me

ENTRY # 11

Perfect Stranger

Lying on my bed
Seeing you in my head
Dreaming of you, my star
A star in the sky, who lay from afar
I'm wishing I could be where you are.

As nights goes by,
You became a part of my sky.
Thinking, how can I catch you.
With honey, like a bee? Or like a fish trapped in the sea?
Oh! how I wish you're here with me

Coffee makes me sick,
But not seeing you makes me weak.
Not hearing a hymn from you,
Makes me sad, makes me blue.

An eclipse passed by and I'm wondering why,
My star didn't show up tonight.
I stare here, waiting still,
Hoping you'll again brighten my sill.

Wherever you are now,
I'm here wondering how.
My star would show up,
And bright me up from above.

ENTRY # 12

UNTITLED

Cloudy afternoon.
I saw you, under the shade of a tree.
With a coffee in hand, laughing your heart out.

Your smile. My world stopped.
Your stare. The beginning of my life.

Your image never left my mind.
Every detail of your face lingers my soul.
You. A complete stranger. A perfect one.

Cold night, staring by the window.
Looking up the sky, I saw you.
Looking up the sky, I saw myself.
Eclipse. You. Me. Us.

Your smile. My world stopped.
Your stare. The beginning of my life.

As I closed my eyes,
I can’t get you off my mind.
Waiting for the next day to see you again.
You. A complete stranger. A perfect one.

Bright new day, staring by the window.
A beautiful garden, I saw a red rose.
A beautiful garden, I saw a bee.
Sweet love! You. Me. Us.

Your smile. My world stopped.
Your stare. The beginning of my life.

Cloudy afternoon.
I saw you, under the shade of a tree.
With a man holding your hand.
You two laughing your hearts out.

Your smile. My world crushed.
Your stare. The end of my life.

You. A complete stranger. A perfect one.
Stabbed my heart and buried it under the ground.

ENTRY # 13

Untitled (We)

The silence between us points the loss for words
Yet again, here we sit with a warm coffee at hand
Uncertain, did I hit the wrong chords?
My mind eclipsed under the late afternoon sun

You looked into my eyes and I bumbled like a lost bee
We tried, but got confused on aimless topics
There’s a wide, open space between us, it seemed to me
I felt like we’re divided by a wall of solid bricks

If only pride was out of the picture
Things might not have gotten out of hand
Love won’t grow by itself unless nurtured
This we might not have truly understand

Again, we struggled to speak amidst this deafening silence
You tempted me with an invitation for redemption
I held your hand and let your warmth fuel my veins
Now we slowly found ourselves in this endless oblivion

ENTRY # 14

A Stranger by the Shore

As I walked in the silence of the night
I looked up in the sky; no moon at sight
Eclipse! A moon eclipse came by my mind
And all the things that I have left behind

Along the sandy foot paths of the shore
I saw a boy I never met before
He said, "Hello"; I said, "It's late, you know."
He said, "I'll see the sky before I go"

A perfect stranger he may seem to me
He talked and talked of childhood fantasy
"I once dreamed that I am a tiny bee,
Buzz, Buzz, Buzz, Buzz" He smiled a smile of glee

I asked "Where do you live? You are alone!
You'll worry your sad mom and dad at home."
And then, I drank the coffee on my hand
And laid it on the soothing, golden sand

"You do not recognize me, sir?" He asked
I was surprised, my heartbeat drummed so fast
"I live inside your heart; I'm who you are.
I am your innocence burdened with scars

He gave me back the things that I have lost
The innocence that I will treasure most.

ENTRY # 15

Perfect Stranger

I will never find another lover
Most precious than you like a flower
I try to find someone to be with me
But I am a bee who seek and free.

I promise to never fall inlove with the stranger
But a stranger like you complete my life
Just an eclipse in my heart
Your my guiding light, day and night.

But my love you hurt me
And now you leave
Another lonely night for me
My heart flows of blood like a black coffee.

My love i need you
I just want to say i love you
Please don't walk away
Please tell me you'll stay.

ENTRY # 16

Perfect Stranger

The scent of a flower which smells out in the open
just like a perfect stranger that caughts our attention.

A pollen is sweet and to the bee it is inviting
but a perfect stranger to us can be frightening

A perfect stranger comes and goes and sure no one
knows, because he or she is just like a shadow.

We think and wonder who is this perfect stranger.
asking ourself if we could know him or her.

We keep ourself awake by the coffee we intake.
Hoping the percfect stranger will soon cast a shadow.

Night or day, we are still waiting for the perfect
stranger if he or she is coming.

The shadow of the perfect stranger will only be seen
just like an eclipse that is rarely seen.

We have grown weary and sometimes worry,
even in our sleep the perfect stranger's shadow is all we see.

The perfect stranger says,Can you remember? remember my name
As I flow through your life?

A thousand oceans I have flown and cold spirits of ice.
All my life I am the echo of your past the shadows of another day.

And if you hear me talking on the wind, Youve got to understand
I must remain a Perfect stranger.

For once in a while a perfect stranger comes into our life.
and yet we seemed to be mystified on that day the perfect stranger came into our life...

ENTRY # 17

Lost

I'm here in the place, I long for,
But it seems to exist no more.
In this world of make believe,
Where reality won't be achieved.

Like an eclipse, beneath my eyes,
Thats how everything materialized.
Like a bee that only blips,
In this world full of mischief.

Lost in the world full of lies,
Now I see and realize.
How bitter my coffee it came to be,
And the wound bleeding inside of me.

Crossing a path that leads to nowhere,
I dared to travel, even impaired.
To search, to find, what I hope for,
A dream, I created that I can't ignore.

ENTRY # 18

Temporary Heart Eclipse

“Coffee stains the mind” she says,
Across the table where she sat,
I turned to look her way to see
If it’s me she’s looking at…

For it’s a fairly crowded room
It could really be for anyone
But I’m sure to be the only guy
With a cappuccino in the hand…

Now I turn to see an angel,
Smiling right back at me
Like a flower taking power
Over a clueless little bee…

As my eyes froze, transfixed,
My heart felt warmth, my body felt heat,
Was it the temporary heart eclipse?

Or my cup of coffee being spilled?

*** Note:

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

NOTICE OF DISQUALIFICATION
FOR ENTRY NUMBER 12

And I
Nakatanggap kami ng repot tungkol doon sa PM na ipinadala ng isa nating kaibigan sa isang member. Me proof na ako ngayon na guilty of fraud yung member na nagpadala nag PM na iyon. Nilabag din nya ang isa sa mga contest rules, which is to keep the anonymity of the authors.

#11... nice poem..

Lying on my bed
Seeing you in my head
Dreaming of you, my star
A star in the sky, who lay from afar
I'm wishing I could be where you are.

As nights goes by,
You became a part of my sky.
Thinking, how can I catch you.
With honey, like a bee? Or like a fish trapped in the sea? Oh! how I wish you're here with me
