im just sharing this for to help people use their existing gadgets to surf the internet for free ANYWHERE and you dont need to buy the NETWORK's USB that sells for 1800+ pesos to connect, just use somethings you may have already.
what i had?
1. a laptop
2. a k700i SE phone
3. a cheap bluetooth dongle from cdr-king
what i did?
1. install the bluetooth dongle software/driver to your PC or laptop.
2. pair your celphone with your laptop (as simple as entering the same passcode on both celphone and pc)
3. your celphone name/model should now appear on MY BLUETOOTH PLACES on your pc or laptop.
4. right click on your phone and as one the choices there is CONNECT DIALUP NETWORKING or something which looks likes those 3 words.
5. click that, then you will be taken to a log-in screen, where you are asked phone number, username and password.
6. enter *99***3# as the phone number. leave username and password blank.
7. edit some further settings in the NETWORKING tab, click TCP/IP and add a DNS server (just look, click around and you will see what i mean) add the following DNS servers. (202.57.96.3 and 202.57.96.4)
8. enable tick marks on LMhost lookup and use default gateway on remote network.
9. your done, click DIAL the phone will now connect your PC to the internet as a modem.
10. (for smart) if you have more than 10 pesos load, you will be shown your home page, but if you have less than 10 pesos load, the you will have the smart wap page (your balance is insufficient...blah blah blah...)
11. so with less than 10 load, just edit the web address to wap.smart.com.ph + add your proxy like wap.smart.com.ph.youcloak.com.
12. a webpage will appear, then type the address of the website you want to visit on the input area of the webpage, click surf, then your connected!!
advantages:
1. i find this a lot better than the USB (smart bro/or globe tattoo kits), why? those USB's have a hard time looking for signals when the network signal is weak, i was onboard a ship once with a user using usb smart bro prepaid and me using my k700 as modem, he lost internet connection while i still had mine, reason? phones get signal better than USB plugs.
2. no need to bring always a usb kit, just your phone which you always normally do.
3. having a usb kit means you have to maintain loading it also, because inside it is A SIM. so now you have two sims to maintain load, while using a phone as modem, you only have one sim to load and maintain.
disadvantages:
1. the usb plug-in can connect to speeds up to 2MBPS, although this is only true if you are in a 3G area, when youre not, then it is a GPRS connection, just like dialup. my phone connects only at 112Kbps, the limit the computer sets for DIALUP connection. but when youre in a remote area, NO 3G!, so usb and phone will be the same, with phone getting the better signal. Also using a 3G phone will equalise everything.
as for valid proxies, just look for threads that post fast, valid and alive proxies.
attaching pictures to help you understand how i set up my connection, just follow the settings.
i hope i helped as well as confused a lot of people, hehehe.
