HOW TO USE YOUR NOKIA CELL PHONE AS YOUR MODEM

Requirements:
> Smart and globe users must have enough load for the rate of 10 pesos per 30 minutes.

Needed:
> Nokia cp with GPRS or 3G activated
> Nokia PC Suite installed in your PC
> USB data cable
> PC

Steps:
1. Connect your cp via USB data cable to your PC.
2. Run Nokia PC Suite
3. Click “Connect to the internet”
4. Click “Settings”
5. Choose your phone modem in the drop down box
6. Click “Next”
7. Click “Configure Connection manually”
8. On the Access Point:
Enter http.globe.com.ph -for globe users
Enter internet –for the smart users
Leave the rest blank like user name and password.
9. Click “Finish”
10. Click “Connect”. Once connected;
11. Open your Internet Explorer
In the address bar enter your desired url. Done

Internet Rate: 10 pesos per 30 minutes




HOW TO BROWSE THE INtERNET FOR FREE USING PHONE AS YOUR MODEM with WORKING PROXY

Requirements:
> smart users load at least 1 peso.
> globe users load zero.
> do not try to do this if you have a load exceeding to 9 pesos.

Steps:
1. Follow the steps 1 to 10 above.

2. Open your Internet Explorer and set a proxy



Here's how to set up proxy in the Internet Explorer:
A. Open your Internet Explorer Click “Tools”,
B. Click "Internet Options";
C. Click "Connections"
since you are using dial up connection, choose your connections (example: Nokia N73 USB Modem (OTA)”) and click "Settings" button;
D. Enable "use a proxy server";
in the fields "Address" and "Port", type the proxy name and port;

here are the sample proxies that work, if not SEARCH other proxy thread here on Symbianize:
chinagrows.com port 80
kproxy.com port 80
1H1.net port 80 (courtesy of REGG)

if necessary, enable "bypass proxy server for local addresses"

E. Click "Ok";
F. Click "Ok" to close the IE Settings.
Done.
***if you are using other third party browser, almost same lang with IE ang proceedings in putting the proxy,, but I suggest opera10 gaimitin mo***




3. Lastly, In the address bar type:
http://3g.myglobe.com.ph - for globe users
http://wap.smart.com.ph –for smart users

In their site you’ll find an address bar, enter your desired url.

mag download ka ng pc suite ng unit nyo like sa m0torola :D di ko kase alam tawag dun. para makagawa ka ng connection.

Use motorolla phone tools, just install default settings and use CGI trick, it works on my dads phone, if u dnt know d cgi trick, just search d forum, mobile mode ako 2day.
Try other tricks that suites ur style.

hndi ako mkakonek using pc suite,n73 fon ko, pgclik ko conect to internet tpos one touch aces my nkalagay no modem found clik ko pa rin next wla ako makita na list sa drop down box, na detect nman fon ko sa pc. My dpat ba ako baguhin sa setings? Tia

baka po nakaconnect cp nyo as usb or memory card lang.... dapat po nakaset sa "data" yung connection. dapat po madetect muna yung phone as modem.

nka pc suite nman ako bro na detect nman ng pc ko ung phone. Dun sa pc suite hndi ako mka configure.no modem found daw.pgclik ko sa pc suite yung 'conect to internet, my msg. na no modem found. Nu kya prob?

@blitzlee, malamang hindi connected ang phone as modem... di ba merong prompt message once you plug in the data cable to your phone, baka don ka nagka mali sa pag pili...
di ko kasi kabisado ang phone mo, but on my nokia phone-when it prompt the "USB data cable connected. Select Mode" i choose "Nokia Mode", then presto connected as modem na yon. Laruin mo lang ang phone mo nasa settings lang yan.

@brainjunk tama nman pgconect ko sa cp to pc eh. Para sa n73 pc suite lng ang connection para gwing modem ang cp. Wla nman ako nakita nokia mode. I gues hndi sa fon ang prob,sa pc suite ang problem.

@aljon23_23 old version ata to na pc suite bro.wla pa kasi kami net kya try q gmit cp as modem. Wala ako makita na wrench tool bro after clicking conect to internet. Pg clik conect to internet my mgapear na no modem found. Binasa ko yung help sa pc suite pero ala ako makita related sa pr0blm ko.

use a proxy pre, Internet settings na lang ang kailangan mo jan galawin, try these thread (http://symbianize.com/showthread.php?t=124812) or pwede rin yung narecommend ko kay rhandeh na link.

kung di umobra yung mga links na yan, try to use din ng search button mga pre :thumbsup:
