Ginawa koh na poh lahat ng instructions sa first and previous pages, pero wala poh yung instructions para mabago yung color sa mismong dashboard...for example: yung default na color ng dashboard para sa globe tattoo is blue, ngayon gusto koh poh gawing black yun kagaya nung nagpost sa previous page kaso di poh sya nagbigay ng instructions para dun poh....

Ok this time I'll show you something that's odd in Globe Tattoo Dashboard.
An Internet Explorer by default is hidden in the dashboard all we have to do
is edit a certain file found in the Globe Broadband installation folder.

Note: Honestly I found this embedded browser useless but still it's a good thing to
know its there right?

here's how:

1. Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Globe Broadband\plugins\DialupUIPlugin"
2. Look for an XML file named "DialupUIConfig" and open it using any XML editor
but for simplicity you can use notepad.
3. Once you opened the XML file scroll down to the bottom and look for the entry

<WebFile_en-us>http://nchelp/en/index-en.htm</WebFile_en-us>

4. Change the URL to something like this

<WebFile_en-us>http://www.google.com</WebFile_en-us>

...or to any URL you like.

5. Now to make this work you have to set the entry

<ShowHtmlPage>false</ShowHtmlPage> to true

so it should look like this

<ShowHtmlPage>true</ShowHtmlPage>

(it is found just right a few entries up the first entry you've just edited)

6. Now save the file you've just edited and that's it.
7. Open/launch the Globe tattoo application or if its already open...close it first then open it and
wait for the browser on the dashbaord to appear.If your not connected yet right click on the browser and
click refresh.The URL should now appear.

...again I find it a useless feature in a dashboard but still its nice to know its there.But if you really want
to make it interesting you can load your offline webpage/website if you got one so the entry would be like this:

(of course the URL depends on the location and filename of the webpage you want to load)

or if you want a more interesting one you can try to load a SWF file instead of a webpage/website.sample entry:

I explored the files and folders found in the Installation folder of the Globe Broadband tattoo and I tried
experimenting and playing with some of its files and one of the things I've done is I changed some of the graphics
and icons found in the dashboard.

Here are the steps in customizing your Globe Tattoo dashboard:

Step 1:
Make sure your Globe Broadband Application is not running.If it is then close the application.

Step 2: (Making the logo.png)
Open your favorite photo editor('em using Photoshop).
Create a new canvass with a dimension of 360 px by 40 px.
Just draw your artwork there.What I did is I just copied and edited an existing image and fit it in
the canvass I've just created.
Save your drawing as logo.png(don't change the filename and extension) <--this will be the image that will appear
across the toolbar of the dashboard.
After saving your first image file.Copy and paste that image file in the "C:\Program Files\Globe Broadband" folder
Click YES if you are asked to replace the existing image file.
That's it for the first image.

Step 3: (Making the OperatorBand.jpg)
Again using your favorite photo editor create a new canvass with a dimension of 512px X 250px.
Draw your artwork there.
Save your drawing as operatorband.jpg(again DON'T CHANGE the filename and extension for sake of this tutorial)
Now copy the 2nd image file you have just created and paste it inside the "C:\Program Files\Globe Broadband\plugins\DialupUIPlugin" folder
Click yes if you are asked to replace the existing image file.(But I recommend you rename the existing file baka kasi hindi mo
magustuhan yung kalalabasan e pwed mo ibalik yung original n image.)

Note: You can also change the icons that are displayed on the dashboard but I will not cover that in this tutorial.

Now what?
Let's try now to see your customized Globe Tattoo Dashboard...
Open/Launch your Globe Tattoo application.... Voila!!!
