View Full Version : Tanong lang po about dv mmc! BiDeN 7th Feb 2007 Wed, 13:28 Pwede po ba gamitin sa Nokia 7610 ung Dual Voltage na Memory Card? Wala ba negative effect un??? Salamat po... hmx_ryan 7th Feb 2007 Wed, 15:23 Pwede yan sya preng.... Walang problema yan... BiDeN 7th Feb 2007 Wed, 18:07 ano po ba pagkakaiba ng regular MMC sa Dual voltage? hmx_ryan 8th Feb 2007 Thu, 08:10 1. MMC 2. DV MMC 3. RS MMC 3. RS DV MMC (or DV RS MMC) DV-RS MMC stands for Dual Voltage Reduced Size MultiMedia Card and MMC is the simple Multimedia Card. The difference lies in the physical size of the cards (The RS-MMC/RS-DVMMC is smaller than a SIM-card, while a normal MMC/DVMMC is 3 times the size of a SIM-card. Hence, these are not interchangeable. Similarly, the Dual Voltage MMC operates at two different voltages - when connected to a PC, it operates at higher voltage for faster data read/write speeds, and when in the phone, it operates at a lower voltage to save battery life. It may be noted here that DV/RSDV MMC cards are compatible with phones using non-DV MMC/RS MMC cards but not vice-versa Speed: Both RS-MMC and DV RS-MMC follow the MMC3.2 spec, which mean that speed wise, they are for the most part the same. Dual Voltage Feature: Many new phones require memory cards that run on a lower voltage (1.8V) in order to reduce battery consumption. Because most standard devices still run a higher voltage (3V), next generation cards will need to accommodate both voltage levels.
