Hello Good day sa inyong lahat,

2. Expandable Memory up to 1 gig
3. Sobrang lakas ng speaker! ang saya. u can text or do anything and ung music will continue playing!
4. May Photo siya for the phonebook, so kapag may tumatawag sayo ung picture niya ung lalabas as in buong screen! kaya alam mo na agad kung sino siya. Hahaha.
5. Dual sim siya. OK! kasi hindi na kailangan i switch ung off power may shortcut siya pipili ka lang ng sim 1 or sim 2 and mag rereboot na siya mag isa!.
7. I can log on to my Yahoo messenger through wap. using globe. I can send emails. and i can send MMS. (if u need help sa pagconfigure email me. - kung globe ang sim mo.) hindi kasi siya supported ng globe. So manual dapat siya.
8. Good camera! ang daming effects! sobra! Sepia, embossed, green, blue, tungsten, negative.. etc..may continues photo, self - timer, and ibat ibang size ng pics, so kung pic addict ka! the best to. Tapos ibat ibang lightings! may fluorescent, incandescent, auto, cloudy.. so pwede mamili according to kung ano ok sayo na light.
9. May ebook reader! comes in .txt format! nakakabasa ako ng isang pocket book dito sa phone na ito pag walang magawa! or if u need to study ur notes type them on your notepad sa computer then save.. then transfer to ur phone.. bwala! pwede mo na basahin! wala nang hassel sa pagdala ng reviewer.
10. User friendly ang mga functions. Madaming shortcut keys. so ok na ok siya.
11. Mp4 and Mp3 player so pwede manuod ng movie.
12. Pwede siya as webcam, camera or video direct pc. wala nang installer na need. Pero as a webcam sa YM hindi gumagana saakin. d ko lang alam bakit. d ko pa nafigure out.
13. May headset, USB cable, TV cable and Stylus with , antenna. 2 batteries. Dapat dalawa!.. ok..
14. The best ang battery life! ang tagal! kahit siguro mag touch screen ka the whole day.

Mga hindi ko nagustuhan

1. chinese ang manual.hindi ko mabasa so iexplore ko pa ung phone
2. walang kasamang driver or software so dinownload ko pa
3. mahirap maghanap ng spare, like headset, stylus battery. kasi inoorder pa nila sa hongkong.
5. Malakas kumain ung tv ng battery. So dapat nakacharge lagi ung isa pang spare bat.
6. wlang 3G and hindi wifi.. haha.. pero ok na kasi i really dont like to use 3G.. gagastos ka pa para lang makita mo kausap mo. haha. Wifi naman is not really that accessible all the time. and not necessary kung businessman ka lang siguro. (but u can send emails.. thru MMS!.. or wap..tried it already! it worked.) onti lang kasi ang hotspot dito sa atin na free!! believe me kahit saan ka magpuntang coffee shops. may bayad!!..
7. Medyo malaki siya. Pero not that bulky like p990i. Mas bulky un, ito mahaba na mejo manipis..usual PDA size. Besides its a PDA phone so it has to be big. hehe.

Yan lang ang masasabi ko about this phone!.. for me its the best so far. considering its not really that expensive, and not known. Pwedeng pantalo ito sa nokia and ericson. for me ha!,

if u need the software i can send it. or if u need help sa phone na ito. just email me at adorable.gurl@yahoo.com

hope this will help u guys!

Helloooo

Im back again people!!.. hehehe.. sorry it took me like forever and a month!?? before i can reply back to ur emails and messages!! but i hope u got them by now.. Newei to save u guys from having to send me emails, i got this site where u can actually download the software!! and the PC sync for the ZT168, but im telling that i have already downloaded that, but its not working, probably bcause the DRM mem is locked, that means we cannot access the internal mem where we shud place the applications, that is how i understand it!!.. but u cud give it a try it might work with u!! just install the driver first so that the phone can be read. Send me emails when it worked !!

here is the site,

MT6227 Drivers :
http://www.geek-asia.com/wp-content/...27_drivers.zip

MT6227 USB Modem Drivers :
http://www.geek-asia.com/wp-content/...dem_driver.zip

PC Sync Manager : http://www.geek-asia.com/wp-content/...nc_manager.zip

ok there u have it!! hope it helps.. if it ask for a password just type: www.geek-asia.com

hope this solves ur phone needs!!..

For the english manual, i still havnt found any sites for that!.. but if u need help on how to use some of the feature just send me emails and il be glad to answer them back!.. arayt!!..

For those people who needs trouble loooking for EBOOKS! u can email my contact person where i get ebooks from - her name is LIZEL, only for 10 pesos/ebook, very cheap! she has a lot of collections, and nice books to read, just send her an email, ask for the list, payment can be thru gcash so thats fairly easy., just go to any SM malls for that.
I have read a lot of her ebooks already mostly romance! lol.. but she got other books aside from that!!..and she's a trusted person, once u pay ul get the ebooks sent to ur emails. And she gives ebooks for free!.. so ask her about that!.. (I personally don't know her so im not biased or anything!lol ) her ebooks come in a lot of format please dont forget to tell her that u can only read ebooks in .txt format because she might send a PDF and u wont be able to read that on ZT168 Mobile phone! alright!..

once u got ur ebook u can paste it on your ebook folder and "happy reading!!"

here is her email address : rozbubbles@yahoo.com or u can text her at 09063749003

Ok ito...mmmm...let me see. i can txt 3 ways: 1st- using the keyboard, 2nd-using my stylus and touching the letters and numbers on the screen...(parang PDA) and the 3rd...voila!!! It has a handwriting recognition software similar to those cool tablet PCs....just write letters or numbers one at a time on the message box with your stylus....make sure they're big...and presto...it converts your handwritten text to a typewritten one...

Ok again eto...ahhh... i just watched movie Transformers 2hrs 15min running time in mp4 widescreen about 403 mb; and The Prestige 344 mb, too...using its video player....found out mp4 has better quality than 3gp format. Does anybody have a better software for fast encoding of DVD movies to mobile mp4?

Hi Stickys, ok naman mp4...i use "free 3gp converter" software..u can find at DVDVideosoft.com...on the dropdown list of the installed software, set to "mp4 video"...don't use the iPod settings...use "Mobile MP4 Standard Quality (MPEG4, 15 fps, 176x144; AAC)"... dats 15 frames per second, way far behind PAL w/c is 25 fps or NTSC dats 29.92 or 30 fps...pero di naman masyadong mabagal...our eyes can't see the difference w/ that fast frames...note too, that audio is in AAC format which stands for "Advanced Audio Coding"...I'm sori dat some other Chinese brand phones other than ZT168 have choppy videos kung naka-widescreen, probably, something wrong w/ their LCD's response time....hope this software video conversion works w/ ur celfon...hanzumanak

Thanx 4tellin me dat d ZT168 front camera ay dummy lang pala...hay naku, anyway, inihaw (lol) enjoy pa rin ako nanaka W@P na sa settings na ini-send mo sa akin...anyway, pa rin, nakaemail pa ako using Y! Mail despite nawalan ako ng prepaid load...at alam mo ang ginamit ko pag-email ay ang stylus....pero hindi using touchscreen, using my own handwriting, kasi meron palang handwriting recognition software ito...u can find that in those swivel-type advance tablet PCs....ahh...dis poor man' cellphone...
And ....muntik ko na lang makalimutan...dapat we find a way to crack that DRM thing...is dat Digital Management Rights....a protection software...hay naku...how can we ever install softwares or change my message tones? Di bibili na naman tayo ng mga clones at Chinese cellphones...???
Meantime manood na lang ako ng TV, movies and listen to hundreds of mp3's dito sa ZT168 by ZTC...wait a minute, read... is that the same as ZTE??? Oh no!!!(lol)....hanzumanak says auf Wiedersehen!!!!

Hi everybody...

For converting video formats to Mobile mp4 use 3GP Video Converter...go to Symbianize>PC Applications>3GP/MP4 Video Converter for Chinese Cellphone.:) to download the software.

Enjoy watching MTV's , movies and videos...I recommend a large memory card size of at least 1 or 2gb in order to have these large files in the cellphone.

Hello to all users of ZT168 TV Mobile!!!, more Tips here:

1) Phone slowing down??? Go to Settings> Restore Factory Setting>Password:
type 1122
Caution: Can ruin parts of the W@P settings, yet, all saved phone numbers still ok...and of course, all SIM and Memory card data untouched too. Date and alarm settings are returned to default.

2) You enabled Bluetooth headphone in your Audio Player but still no sound???
To Power On the Bluetooth:
type *#900#
To Power Off the Bluetooth:
type *#901#
ZT168 has BLUETOOTH HEADSET support on two modes, to enable Audio Distribution Profile/Profile Test System:
switch from A2DP Normal Mode to A2DP PTS Mode or vice-versa:
type *#1234# twice to switch from either profiles.

3) ZT168 has a hidden mic. Your factory headphone is supplied with a mic, halfway between the cord is not a volume control but a mic switch to press it on or off....useful for answering calls when your phone is in the phone bag & you're hurriedly answering the call; or you're recording an audio.

4) ZT168 TV Mobile can be a cheap Car Audio-Video System...Buy a Velcro pad, have the tailor design it for hanging it up on your car's rear view or vanity mirror...now the passengers can watch terrestial TV broadcast, movies, MTV's, videos...Not satisfied with the audio??? No need to use the factory headphone 'cause the built-in speakers of the phone produces a strong sound...buy a stereo bluetooth headset w/ A2DP support as an alternative option....
why not do this instead??? (for electronics and sound enthusiasts only)
Break open the headphone's mic switch...the blue and green wire represents the positive left and right channels respectively...they are both paired with the negative transparent wires....now connect both their transparent wires...solder to an appropriate 3.5"mm phone female or male jacks....wire them up to the RCA jack ends of your car amplifier with subwoofer...open your cellphone's audio player and play DJ Kan'z Chacaron...:yipee:

Gone is the “The E-Book Lovers Heartbreak” of ZT168 TV Mobile Users…
The “pdf to txt” file conversion problem solved !!!

My PC’s pdf file and e-book reader is Adobe Acrobat Reader v.7.0., auto- installed that came out w/ my cracked hybrid Xp-Vista OS Service Pack3 Build2 CD installer ….I managed to convert the e-book pdf to txt simply as follows:

1. I opened a pdf e-book file of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows by J.K.Rowling/Dark Miasma with 638 pages and a file size of 1.460 MB.
2. Opened the Notepad application at Start Menu>Programs>All Accessories> Notepad…this is the only XP program that can read a .txt file.
3. On the application window of Acrobat Reader of the HPotter e-book, click “Edit”>”Select All”, edit “Copy”.
4. On the Notepad window application, right click anywhere on the blank page…a select box will appear….it will take several seconds for the word “Paste” to appear before you can highlight it, considering the bulk of the txt file….be patient…and when it appears, just left click the “Paste” button…
5. Name and save the txt file using the default ANSI coding in the Save As box…File conversion completed…new txt file size was 1.138 MB…smaller than I expected.
6. Next, connect your USB cable to the PC from your ZT168 TV Mobile cellphone…Auto detection for selection of Mass Storage, Web Cam or COM Port will be prompted by your cfon….choose Mass Storage…1st window to auto-open in your PC is the Memory Card files….2nd window to auto-open is your Phone Memory files….suggest you save it in the Memory Card E-Book folder. Do this by the Copy/Paste method too, from your PC to cfon. Close all windows.
7. Safely & properly disconnect your USB cable by right clicking the “Safely Remove Hardware” at the system tray of your PC, left clk, then stop, ok to remove hardware….note that if your cable is still connected to the PC, you cannot open your cfon’s memory card files…this is why you should do this step correctly.
8. Having physically disconnected the cable, I opened the HPotter e-book file in my celfon and there it was!!!!!!! With a TXT file icon…the magic of Harry P…. I was prompted a question …”Open in E-Book?” …of course !!!….anyway, I didn’t read the e-book…he…he…he.. I’m too old for that….I just read Dan Brown’s Deception Point in real paper….

Happy reading to all Symbianizer bookworms !!!!...hanzumanak

The ZT168 TV Mobile “Hidden” DigiCam Shortcut Keys

This process took me quite a time to figure out. This cell phone which sidelines as media player- TV set picking up terrestrial broadcasts- PDA- Mp3 player- videocam recorder-video player has also digicam with rear camera lens it claims and w/c others argue as 2.0 Mpixels…The front camera is only a dummy camera…no hope for that decorative thing…

However, here are some of its digicam features not found in any other cell phones. Open the camera in the Menu’s AV Zone…By the way, you can open the icons three ways…with your fingertip because it is touchscreen…also the reason why the icons are so big; with your stylus or with the use of the keypad…this last one is best for digicam…

The shortcut keys on your keypad are as follows:

1. Pressing the “ # “ button once or twice will turn on/off the digicam “onscreen menu”.

2. Press the number “ 8 “several times on the keypad, the icon on the lowermost right of the onscreen menu will adjust the Image Size to:
a) 240x480 pixels (default)
a) 160x120 “
b) 320x240 “
c) 640x480 “
d) 1280x960 “
Note: For a good webshot digital photo, a minimum 640x480 pixel resolution is good, eliminating the use of horizontal and vertical sliders of the web page photo viewer when viewing…better multiply that by 2, and you have 1280x960 resolution.

3. Pressing the number 1 several times will activate the FX menu, the icon at the uppermost right of the onscreen menu, namely:
a) Normal (default)
b) Grayscale
c) Sepia
d) Sepia Green
e) Sepia Blue
f) Color Invert
g) Gray Invert
h) Blackboard
i) Whiteboard
j) Copper Carving
k) Blue Carving
l) Embossment
m) Contrast
n) Sketch

4. Pressing the number 2 several times will activate the White Balance, the icon just below the FX icon on the onscreen menu, namely:
a) Auto (default)
b) Daylight
c) Tungsten
d) Fluorescent
e) Cloud
f) Incandescence

5. Pressing the number 4 four times reveals the Timer Delay, the icon just below the White Balance icon of the onscreen menu, namely:
a) Off ( default )
b) 5 secs
c) 10 secs
d) 15 secs
Note: Items b) to d) useful for taking shots that will include the one taking a picture, placing the cellphone on a stand for an auto delayed shot…hmmm…Quick! Does anybody have a cell phone stand or tripod? He…he…he…

6. Pressing the number 5 three times reveals the Continuous Shot settings, the icon below the Timer Delay icon in the onscreen menu, namely:
a) One (1) shot (default)
b) Three (3) shots
c) Five (5) shots
Note: Items b) & c) useful for taking action shots, esp. in sports….hmmm….Quick! And the race is off !!! or Quick! Manny Pacquiao is about to knock him down!!!…5 pic shots fired and an uppercut thrown, and the opponent is down…he…he…he…

7. Pressing the number 7 three times reveals the Image Quality settings, the icon below the Continuous Shot icon on the onscreen menu, namely:
a) Low
b) Normal
c) High

8. The EV Slider Bar at the top of the onscreen menu (horizontal bar) which increase or decrease the brightness can be adjusted by using the keypad’s left or right arrow keys.

9. The Digital Zoom which is the vertical bar at the upper left of the onscreen menu can be increased ( “up” key ) or decreased (“down” key). I counted 30 clicks for increasing the zoom, though I can’t estimate how many times increase is that…he…he…he… This digital zoom is adjustable only for the image size pixels 240x480, 160x120 and 320x240 and not at the higher sizes.

10. The Widescreen or Landscape shot is available only at the low image size of 240x320 pixels.

11. The Photoframes make your photos kind of hip-hop...This feature is inconspicuously hidden because it is only available in the Image Size of 240x320 pixels and making shots in Portrait , not in Landscape....to do this, click the #8 till you find the said image size.
Next, on the upper left side-edge of your cell phone is the silver color see-saw button for the Volume Increase/ Decrease....Click the upper side of the button for Volume Increase several times to reveal the ff. photoframes in succession:
a) Dog frame
b) Heart- Happy Bday frame
c) Fishbowl frame
d) TNT frame
e) Road Signs frame
f) Hot Coffee-Heart frame
g) Smile Frame
h) Merry Christmas frame

HAPPY SHOOTING!!! all ye ZT168 TV Mobile Symbianizers....HANZUMANAK

Hi Cruzmari !!! I got your private message asking me to troubleshoot the case of the "only one page - copied " problem... I assumed what happened was that you forgot the "Select All" step before hitting "Copy".
You must see to it that in your Acrobat Reader application, you must first choose “Select All” w/c will highlight all the thousand pages, then clk Copy, open the blank Notepad and right clk anywhere on the blank page….note that the “Paste” is still grayed out because Windows is encoding it to ANSI….wait for a few secs to a minute…the waiting will depend on how fast your computer system is ( type and speed of CPU and DDR )…once the Paste can be highlighted, you may now left clk it to finish the task of copying…save it and be sure to read the add’l steps I outlined above on how to transfer the e-book from PC to cp.…. Do not use the CTRL+C/ CTRL+V method of copying and pasting…

Now you are ready to read the e-book in your cellphone

Steps on How to Read the E-book:
1. Open the Titled e-book in the folder…you will be prompted “Open E-Book?” Clk OK or “E-book! Pls. Wait”….If the opened e-book cannot be read due to a blank page, go to the e-book settings by clicking "Option"> "Settings"> "Encoding" and make sure it is in ASCII (Western Windows). This will match the ANSI encoding when the file was still in the PC. THis also means that if you saved the PC notepad file in UTF-8 encoding, then you should read it in that kind of encoding in your e-book.
2. You will now see below the book’s title page, several numbers which represent the SHORTCUTS as follows ( use the stylus ‘cause they are small):
a) No.7 –toggle the auto scroll
b) No. 9--toggle to full screen mode
c) No. 1--- Help
d) No.2 – Add a Bookmark
e) No. 3- Go to Find Screen
f) No.4 – Jump to Screen
g) No.5 – Go to Bookmark
h) No. 6- Find Next
i) No.8 – Remove Bookmark
j) No. 0 – Go to Book Settings

3. If you go back to the book page, you will find the "Option" at the lower left bottom of the screen, clicking it will reveal:
a) Find
b) Jump To
c) Go to Bookmark
d) Add Bookmark
e) Remove Bookmark
f) Book Info
g) Settings
h) Apply Global Settings
i) Help
j) Close
For the testing of the Harry Potter e-book, I clicked "Find", chose Case Sensitive, typed Voldemort, and was able to find the word in the e-book. I also tested its "Add Bookmark" and found OK,too.

HAPPY READING Cruzmari!!! Sori I have to post your problem publicly because there are others who would want to avail of these useful tips; and I'm glad too that I did a Harry Potter magic of converting pdf to txt...

More Tips for ZT168 TV Mobile:

The Flight Mode
When boarding an airplane, passengers are advised to turn off their cell phones as they may interfere with the plane’s controls or communications equipment. For long international flights, a ZT168 user is no longer deprived of its multi-media player functions, since the flight mode disables just the cellphone network signal, incoming and outgoing calls and text messages. This means one no longer has to turn-off the phone…( but that will be a lot of explaining to the other passengers and the stewardess who won’t understand your use of the cp).
To enable the Flight Mode, go to the Menu> Settings> Phone Setup> Flight Mode. This displays the default Normal Mode, Flight Mode, Query when Power On. Check the Flight Mode and click Yes button.
Note the “Flight Mode” is displayed overhead and no cellsite signal is present…the lower right bottom button has been changed from “Name” to “Mode” while the lower left bottom button for “Menu” seems remained unchanged. But if you open it, the icons have reduced in size and detail.
So the next time a stewardess calls your attention to turn off your cp, explain that to her and say, “ I want my MTV!!! I want my mp3!!!”, then play in your cp- turned- portable media player, the song " Lips of an Angel" by Hinder....Honey, why why're u callin' me, so light? It's really good to hear your voice, sayin' my name it sounds so sweet.... o kaya “ I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky…”:dance::dance:

ZT168 TV Mobile ( More tips... continued)

One advantage of this cell phone is that it can receive a terrestial TV broadcast that is not subscribed from a cellphone company..and of course, it's free...however, when you're indoors, the reception is poor...

The Stylus-Telescopic Antenna - Length vs. Performance ( Reviewed)
Pull out the stylus used for touchscreen...pull the stylus again and a telescopic retractable antenna comes out for use in the TV player and FM radio functions. Its length is about four (4"). Compared with CECT's TV Mobile whose telescopic antenna is six ( 6"); and, in NOTIA, hindi typograhical error yan! hay naku, ang haba!!! twas twelve ( 12" ), the ZT168 is quite short of an antenna. Ano ba ito?..contest ng pahaba-an? :ranting:
These other Chinese cellphones have their antennas come separated from the stylus. The reception proves better for longer antennas....It is said that " It is not in the length but the performance"...:jedi: well, on 2nd thought...
Alrightee...let's make an external antenna para mas mahaba sa lahat ang atin... to the rooftop !!! ...this works good for bad reception when you're indoors...and better TV reception performance.

An electronics techie's help is needed.

The Modified TV External Antenna for ZT168
Materials:
1. TW # 14 parallel stranded wire that's about the length goin to your rooftop ( do not use a solid wire, else it will bend your antenna), but you can use a telephone wire (solid) but solder the ends on a stranded wire.
2. Burnt/discarded big Mogul-base incandescent lamp ( unbroken), or fluorescent lamp, or a short broken aluminum rod from an old TV antenna.
3. Soldering iron and lead
4. Long nose pliers
Solder the parallel wire ends to both the terminal ends of the lamp ( bottom and side part of the lamp); or, left and right ends of the Aluminum rod. Place the said lamp or rod outdoors- above the rooftop of a house or your office. Run the wires down to your office desk. Place the cellphone on a cellphone stand. Twist one of the stranded wire end to any part of your antenna. Make sure the antenna isn't touching a metal which will ground it. Next, the other open end of the parallel wire should be placed in front of the cellphone ( but not connected to it).
Next, open your TV player application, go to Option> Select Area> Philippines.aha!! not Afghanistan!!! :slap:Go to Select Mode> choose Analog TV; then back to "Auto Search" to find the local channels in your area...Back to your TV player when it reaches 100% search...press the asterisk sign " * " for wide screen mode.
Swap the terminals ( the connected to- antenna twisted wire and the unconnected one, if the reception is still poor )...why this works? The antenna catches the 3 waves of TV signals: namely, the sky wave, space wave and ground wave...
Enjoy watching!

Sori... mokong... i don't know how2... maybe somebody will someday...u can't load any applications or games in ZT168 because their software has a restriction under the DRM which stands for the Digital Management Rights (DRM). The DRM is a means of providing restriction to the use of software. That means they have an Intellectual Property Right for this....another name for that in layman's term is Copyright.
Go to ZT168's Menu>File Manager>DRM, and u cannot open it. I really don't know why or what the Chinese is up to...I'm sure the software is not Symbian, they made it themselves...do the Americans have terrestial TV's on their cp's??? ....maybe the Chinese are planning to sell applications and games soon for all Chinese cellphones...maybe they don't want other cellphone companies to copy their software...so for the moment, we just settle ourselves for what's in it...

ZT168 TV MOBILE ( more tips cont’d)

The Bluetooth Experiment
This was a test conducted to try ZT168’s capability in wirelessly transferring and receiving data from other cellphones. Note that the Bluetooth explained as follows is different from the Bluetooth A2DP Profile for the audio headset previously mentioned in my posts. Enabling and use of this kind of Bluetooth is also different, though they are of the same frequency. In this test 3 cp’s were used:
1st cp ZT 168: by Anak ni Zuma
2nd cp Nokia N70 orig: by Vandolph
3rd cp ZT 168 : by Hanzumanak

We chose a video file in mp4 encoded by 3GP Converter software from a PC with the ff. audio-video settings:
1. Mobile MP4 Standard Quality MPEG4
2. Screen Size 176x144
3. 15 frames per sec (fps) as optimum setting
4. AAC stereo audio

The mp4 file from the 1st cp was an MTV by Aerosmith “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing”, size 12.709 MB that was encoded by 3gp converter for 16:9 widescreen 3” LCD.
( It was noted that mp4 was better in video quality, w/ smooth video as there was no “pixilation” compared to a 3GP file format ).

We decided to transfer the mp4 file via Bluetooth from the ist cp to the 2nd cp, and from there, to the 3rd cp. The detailed steps were as follows:
1. All the three (3) cellphones’ Bluetooth function were enabled.
2. For the ZT168, go to Menu> Settings> Extra> Bluetooth.
a) Go to “Power” and switch “on”. Press “Back” and go to Setting>Visibility and switch “On”.
b) In the “Change Device Name” leave UNIDEV as default name
c) Go to “Authentication” and switch “On”. Leave the other settings untouched.
3. So that there will be no other foreign Bluetooth device around us that will distract, we chose a password “1234” for all our cp’s.
4. Next the 1st cp goes to his “File Manager”, highlights the said mp4 file, press “Option”> Forward> To Bluetooth, press OK.
5. 1st cp presses “Inquire BT Device” and upon its search reported both 2nd cp N70 and 3rd cp UNIDEV.
6. 1ST cp chooses N70, mp4 data file was sent in about 20secs. Vandolph hurriedly types the 1234 password as we had observed, since a few secs delay resulted to bonding/pairing failure w/c also meant receiving failure.
7. Next 2nd cp passes the received mp4 file to the 3rd cp, Hanzumanak types the password and received the file.

Test results:
1. All the sending and receiving processes were successful for all the 3 cp’s.
2. 2nd and 3rd cp’s opened the mp4 file received. The 3rd cp (ZT168) played the mp4 file in widescreen mode ( Pressing the asterisk *). The audio-video mp4 data file was found all right. However, the 2nd cp N70 failed to “play” the file. Though the N70 can read mp4 files, we found out we had the wrong video settings for it. For the N70 it was 176x208 TFT, 256K colors.

It's all right...hindi ko rin alam lahat ang mga answers gaya with re: to the message alert tones that you can't change at mga bagong applications...there is only one reason for that...the DRM w/c I previously mentioned (pls. read previous posts of this thread).

Kung hindi mabasa ng PC ang unit is probably because you did not install the driver for ZT168 in your PC which is MT6227 driver that includes PC sync...you can download here for free... somewhere in the threads for China phones.

With regards to poor TV signal, kapag na pull out nyo na ang telescopic antenna from the stylus, make sure na maibalik ang stylusfirmly sa kanyang socket when the antenna is pulled out to its extended length...that way the connection of the antenna to the stylus and to the phones unit is intact....loose stylus connection results to poor signal...the phone is designed for "outdoors" only at mahirap kung nasa "blind spot" ka esp. tall buildings or inside offices...try the method of making an outdoor antenna w/c i proposed ...(pls. read previous posts)

Salamat po and enjoy...

More ZT168 TV Mobile tips:

The LCD Touchscreen and Pen Calibration

TIP #1: Never place or expose your ZT168 cell phone to powerful magnetic devices.
( Don’t place it near the stereo components’ speakers or a security guard’s metal detector wand. ) Your cell phone contains sensitive magnetic parts and may particularly ruin the touchscreen’s sensitivity.

TIP#2: The PEN CALIBRATION:
This is the reason why the ZT168 TV Mobile has this feature in case the stylus can’t hit your target onscreen. I can compose a text message faster using the stylus and the virtual keypad if it’s calibrated right.
To calibrate your stylus pen against the LCD screen, go to Settings>Pen Calibration…touch w/ your stylus anywhere on the screen…it will instruct you to hit the buttons “upper left”, “bottom right” and “center” till the smiley “Done” comes out. Sometimes it will take several cycles of hitting the buttons to perfectly calibrate it, like what happened to mine…( akala ko nasira na ang LCD)…Whenever I’m at home, I used to place the cp near my big stereo speakers until I realized my mistake. It took me a week to regain the touchscreen’s correct function by recalibrating it several times.

FACTS:
Q: Which cell phone has the advanced revolutionary LCD touchscreen?
A: Samsung SCH-W559 ( made in China, not Korea )
Source: China’s Revolutionary Touchscreen Cell Phone – The Phone That Touches You Back, Popular Science Magazine, April 2007

Q: How does a cell phone’s LCD touchscreen work?
A: An ultrathin layer of electrically conductive material coats the touchscreen. When you touch the screen with your finger or stylus, it causes a change in electric current, a process known as resistive technology.

The said Samsung cp replaced the conventional LCD touchscreen’s vibration motor with an electromagnetic ring and magnet set-up. The magnet bounces up and down the ring, a revolutionary technology to replace a spinning 10,000 rpm motor. The sensitive vibration motor is located near the upper right of the touchscreen.
I held my ZT168 cp near the magazine’s picture of the Samsung SCH-W559’s pictorial diagram. They resemble in size and shape of LCD screen. To my amazement, the pictorial diagram’s vibration motor, marked in grayed out circle, is the exact spot where the ZT168’s fake front camera lens is….why not? I thought of a wild guess…the fake front camera lens of the ZT168 wasn’t built to deceive a customer-user into believing it has a dual camera ( the real one is at the cp’s back)… It may be a perfect circular motor base & housing for that vibration motor- electromagnetic ring and magnet setup !!!

Hindi natin alam ang lifespan ng cellphone, hindi rin natin alam kung ano ang ginagamit nyang software....anyway, kung masisira talaga ang software, nandiyan pa ang independent or"standalone" hardware analog TV which can function even without the software or a software that has been corrupted with a virus...

Access the "standalone" analog TV by:
on your ZT168 display, type "*#88#",
that's asterisk, #88# (without the quotes)
That is the Analog TV you see when you open it from the shortcut menu, but this time a color bar with parameters are displayed, namely,
Ch: for the channel; TG: (2-digit number); TF (3-digit number)

Note that the color bar is red when the signal is weak, it turns green when signal is strong, then the Ch parameter number is changed from zero to one...the strongest terrestial TV channel broadcasted...

And so, kung masisira ang cell phone, gawin na lang natin siya na "MOBILE TV sans CP":lol::lol:

6th Mar '08 Thu, 10:06
Well, anyway with N95 you are assured of quality, however w/ a China phone, TV signal broadcasts are received free because it is received terrestially due to the phone's TV tuning circuit...so actually, there's no need to subscribe....no monthly subscription...so you have a good bang for the buck...in the long run, you can save...a cheap phone with a lot of features not found in any other:

More tips:
HOW TO BUY A CHINA TV MOBILE PHONE:

1. Check the analog TV capability....test if it can receive both strong and weak TV signals broadcasted

2. Next check if the TV broadcast still runs at full screen- widescreen mode...that is the true power of its memory to display higher pixels...I have seen one China TV phone that's good only at Letterbox display of about 1 inch square, but when enabled at widescreen of about 3 inch display, the video chopped and stalled, an indication of faulty hardware memory...test also the video in 3gp and mp4 modes. Video rendering requires a lot of memory for the cellphone, and this is a very good test.

3. Next check if it has "Dual SIM" capabilities....there are two kinds, one is Dual SIM, Single Active; the other is Dual SIM, Dual Active...
Here are the typical examples:
a) ZT168TV Mobile - dual SIM, single active
b) CECT C1000 TV Mobile - dual SIM, dual active
c) NOTIA N98 TV Mobile - dual SIM, dual active
This is one way to measure its true memory capability...imagine a phone which can tune to two cellphone networks at once for a dual SIM, dual active type...that would require a high end memory !!!

However, I still stand for ZT168, kasi po maitago ko lahat na old at ex-girfriends ko sa SIM#2 while ang current girlfriend ko is placed of course at SIM#1 so there will be no conflicts....he...he...he:rofl::rofl::rofl::clap: hindi ako bistado ng current girlfriend ko...pwedeng madaling i-reboot configure ang cp from one SIM to another....

Cellphones are like girlfriends,
they are only good when they are new...

MEMORIES of CP:

So that there will be no misunderstanding of what "MEMORY" is, there are actually three (3) types of cell phone memory:

1. Hardware and phone memory - even without the SIM, this is the cp's microprocessing unit which stores the phone numbers optionally stored , ringtones, displays and some default wallpapers, etc. ; the said memory handles all media played, i.e.videos, mp3, mp4, 3gp, etc.
2. SIM card memory - independent of the phone memory, this contains the optional memory for the cellphone network settings, includes optionally stored phone numbers and cellphone network settings required for connection to your subscribed network
3. Memory Card - a removable memory file storage system, this is independent from the hardware system memory, in the case of ZT168, a MICRO SD ( SD stands for secure digital ) which stores additional files, usually where you store very large files as mp4 and 3gp videos, and the hundreds of mp3's. Note that the factory supplied memory card of most TV mobile cell phones is only a 256MB micro SD...In my case I bought a 2 GB microSD to store a lot of files, costs a few extra bucks... to replace the 256MB....

The memory I'm referring to the preceding post above in Tips for Buying a China TV Mobile phone is item #1 - The Hardware and Phone Memory.

Would u like some pix of d damaged cp to prove I'm not making up a story ???
