Iron Man, another character from the Marvel Comics pages is due to arrive in theaters by May 2, 2008. Starring Robert Downey Jr. as the billionaire industrialist and ingenious inventor Tony Stark (Iron Man), who gets hostaged after introducing a new type of missile to the military. The character James Rhodes (played by Terrence Howard) will also appear in the movie, and as all Marvel Comics fans know, James will ultimately become another hero in a steel suit known as War Machine, which may end up in a spin-off movie. Jeff Bridges will play as Obadiah Stane (Iron Monger) who will be the film’s antagonist. Although Iron man’s arch enemy, Mandarin will be in the film, he will not be the physical opponent of Iron man. Another notable character in Marvel Comics to appear on the film is agent Nick Fury (Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.) played by Samuel L. Jackson, another spin-off perhaps? Nick Fury, in the comics has worked with Wolverine (X-men) in many occasions.

Stan Lee will also appear in a cameo on the film. And for those who are asking, Stan Lee is the one behind Marvel Comics and has (co)created many of its heroes. To name a few; Spider-man, X-men, Fantastic Four, The Hulk, Daredevil, and many others. Stan Lee also made a cameo in other films, these includes X-men (all three), Spider-man (all three), Fantastic Four 1 & 2, The Hulk, Daredevil, and you can view more at wiki. The first time I actually noticed him was in the movie, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, because he was one of the guests at Reed and Sue’s wedding but didn’t got in because his name Stan Lee wasn’t on the list. He also appeared (also in the credits) another cameo on the series Heroes season 1, 16th episode “Unexpected” where he was the bus driver who greets Hiro Nakamura.
