Here's a tutorial on how you can change your menu icon (k610i).

Things we need:
1. Setool lite. Download here] (http://www.fullreleases.com/NewMembers/pre_search.php?act=search&id=7013&search=setool%20lite%20Version%201.7)
2.USB Flash Driver.
3. New menu icons.(DO NOT UNZIP)
4. A Sony Ericsson K610i phone with DCU-60 cable kasama dapat yan sa phone.

Procedures:
1. Install the USB FLASH DRIVER.
2. Unzip the Setool lite that you have downloaded.
3. Open Setool, then select interface USB,speed 921600 and phone type K610/K618/V630.

4. Then in MISC Files click "...". then add the menu icon that you have downloaded.(DO NOT UNZIP)
5. You should have like this, then click flash. (it should be "tpa.zip")

6. Remove Battery,SIM and Memory Card. Reinsert the Battery Hold "C" and plug the phone.
7. Wait for about 38 seconds to finish upon finish unplug the phone, insert SIM and Memory card then turn on your phone you should have a new set of menu icon like this.

Pag sound driver naman ang gusto mo upload sa phone mo same procedure lang, pero ang ilalagay mo sa MISC file ay yung "SUNFIRE" na naka zip din then wait for the operation to finish then un para ka lang nag palit ng menu icon, try mo dude madali lang dba. :thumbsup:

Walkman 3 kc gamit ko, technically K610i phone ko. pero ginawa ko syang W660i :thumbsup: para masupport ung Flash Lite, para pati flash menu mapalitan ko d lang ung icons.

after Ive connected it to the usb, is it suppose to show "Preparing for File Transfer" then displays

"Do not remove the USB cable until you have exited the application on your PC"

Are there any confirmation messages na finished na ung transfer???? ang tagal ko na antay eh. tpos pag tinanggal ko plug, walang nagbago sa icons ko

ngek mali po un, dapat pag kabit mo ng usb while pressing "c" dapat d mag ON ung mobile mo, pag nadetect na nya phone mo tsaka mo palang makikita na nag-start mag flash then mag prompt din yan na tapos na ung flashing. try mo po ulit and dont forget to install the USB Flash Driver.

That's a bit odd:upset: dami ko na pinalitan ng icons using that method, try mo po ulit im sure gagana yan.

i use photoshop, then extract ko muna ung mga images then gawa ako ng layout para sa screenshot.

Shortcut way to change menu icons with out flashing over again !!

In Phone goto file manager goto other folder and then create a folder called menu and then inside menu create a folder live

like this ( create these folders in phone memory not memory card )
main menu>file manager>other>menu>live>

and in that live folder copy menu ml and icon files ( icon1_slected etc etc )

You must download w610i_custom_menu from my Esnips folder and copy that menu ml along with icons in live folder

Use FAR MANAGER or XS++ to delete menu ml

1. Delete menu ml from tpa\preset\system\menu\

2. copy all 25 shortcuts to tpa\preset\system\menu\**here**

3. done !!

4. start phone enjoy !!

How to change icons easily later

Simply replace icon in phone memory with the icon that u want
u can download ready made icons lots of them

Now on camera will be known as Cybershot and Music Player will be known as Walkman.. because i have renamed both in Menu ml ..

4.k550i original walkman menu >>media player renamed as walkman .. this is not for custom icons

b4 you flash your phone, dapat half full charge ung batt and remove mmc and sim. select mo ung mobile type then conect cable while pressing "C" tapos pagbinasa na unpress mo un "C" and wait for the process to finish, regarding sa menu na nakita mo sa you tube paste mo ung link d2 para makita ko at mahanap ko kung anong flash menu un.:salute:

Di pa po pwede mod and P series eh, or walang naglalakas loob para i-mod ung mobile due to price. :salute:

@lokies08: Actually, pwede i-mod ang P-Series na phone, iba lang ang software na gagamitin... The modding method I know works on P1i and P990i, It uses a software that enables the PC to view/edit the "system" and "sys" files... Pwede nga baguhin ang media player to walkman version 2, eh... You can post here if you want to know how, then I'll send you the link...

file system lang un...not the actual modding...like modding camdrivers etc...

I'm not sure, but checking the site gves you a lot of options... You can change icons, change a file so that the volume so that your P990i will have a higher volume, change skins...
