yes. i come from a very old family, and ive seen things that doesnt make sense even to believers. sino ba sa inyo naniniwala sa usog? usog is very basic stuff, usually without any conscious will to it, but the effects are very serious. try mo mang-asar ng babaeng malakas ang usog plus gutom plus buntis. kung di ka madeds, kunat mo. or maybe someone bothered to shroud you with protection.

think of kulam as a very focused, very conscious evoking of "usog" na projected thru objects known to be linked to a person, like hair, nail clippings, picture, or even a vivid memory. this is like "usog to the max", hehe. its very real people, pero that doesnt mean its common. karamihan ng mga nagpapanggap usually mga taong gustong matuto pero in one way or another eh hindi naturuan.

nga pala, if you think pinas lang ang may usog, meron din nito sa mga western countries. only there, them country folks call it the "evil eye". and it's usually associated with women. and then the medieval Witch Hunt happened. the Roman Catholic church believes it exists yet vehemently denies it at the same time... how ironic that the people who deny it kill because of it.
