An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45-year old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window. The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"The Son replied "It is a crow". After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?"The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow". After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time,"What is this?" At this time some __expression of irritation was felt in the Son'stone when he said to his Father with a rebuff."It's a crow, a crow". A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time, "What is this?"This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you notable to understand this?" A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an oldtattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to readthat page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary: -
"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, whena crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time h e asked me the same question againand again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated. I rather felt affection for my innocent child". While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Fatherhad felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today theFather asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So…

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as
a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble
and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents.

nice post..thanks a lot!!!

Life is a long lesson in humility.

yeah.. kung ano ang ginawa natin sa magulang natin, doble ang magiging balik nun.. kaya dapat, mahalin natin sila at wag bibigyan ng sama ng loob :)

napaluha naman ako....ang ganda ng lesson nito...

i love my mom and dad so much, katulad nyo rin, i know that you all love your parents as well...minsan dahil nga mejo may edad na sila, nakakainisan natin yung kakulitan nila...nakakalimut tayo minsan na mga magulang natin sila...kaya dapat habang maaga pa, maparamdam natin sa kanila kung gano natin sila kamahal...hindi kasi natin kayang pantayan ang pagmamahal na binigay nila sa atin....kung pano nila ko pinalaki at minahal, ganon din ang sinisikap kong gawin ngayong may anak na rin ako, i just hope and pray that they'd still be proud of me inspite of everything coz i'm doing my very best to raise my child alone....sana lang ang anak ko maging patient din sa akin pag dating ng araw....:)

Grabe ka kid pinaiyak mo ko! I was moved!

My dad's 80 years old that's why. My mom's 68. They spent Christmas and New Year here in Manila.

Pasaway akong anak. I should be ashamed of that fact but now that I'm a parent myself the ruling applied and still does "kung ano ang ginagawa mo sa magulang mo ay gagawin din sayo ng mga anak mo". My mom wrote me a letter before they left for the province last Jan 9. "Learn from my mistakes anak, we love you".

Madaling maging provider. Mahirap ang magpalaki ng anak. yesterday morning I passed by the bakery to buy something before going straight home (night shift po ako ngayon). The owner of the bakery asked me kung anak ko daw yung 2 binatilyo na parating bumibili ng pan de sal sa kanila. So I had her describe the 2 boys that she was talking about. I had this strange feeling that she was referring to celestial_soul and celestial_madness. My 2 boys. I asked her why. eto sabi nya: "natutuwa kasi ako sa kanila.mabait at magalang di tulad ng ibang bata." I showed her the pictures in my wallet and asked her if these were the boys she was talking about. "ay oo! ang gagwapo naman ng mga anak mo, ang babait pa!" :naughty: (shempre ako ina e )

Seriously, that's so rewarding to hear something like that from someone you don't even know. I'M SO LUCKY I'M BLESSED WITH THE CHILDREN THAT I HAVE!!!!!!
