As an OFW I am wondering why the peso is appreciating and yet the prices are not going down. Somebody must be profiting from the situation and I think the bankers are the ones because they can easily manipulate the forex trading with so much money in their hands. This is only a hunch but it is very much possible that these bankers are speculating and playing the money market game. The peso is always a safe bet because of the OFW factor. Good or bad ang economy in the Phil. or anywhere in the world the OFW remittances will steadily pour in and support the economy. Proof dyan ang Asian economic crisis in the past where our neighbors suffered badly pero ang Phils. steady lang. Di nga umaangat pero di rin sumasadsad.

I just read today that Henry Sy already owns National University and Lucio Tan is a majority stockholder of FEU.
What do I think about it?Sana hindi business ang purpose nila but to help raise the standard of education in our country and to provide scholarships to poor Filipinos.
They are already very rich being No. 1 and No. 2 in the top 40 list.
The richest people in our country can really make the difference in the future of our country if they really wanted to. Take the case of John Gokongwei who actively support Ateneo and the Zobels and Ayalas who supports La Salle.
If all the top 40 richest Filipinos unite in uplifting our country through education then the vision of Jose Rizal that the youth is the hope of the Fatherland will be a reality.

education is the best way to inject what you want to happen... a profit oriented people do things for purpose by using altruistic languages...kunwari makakatulong but in the end..sila parin ang makikinabang... :weep:

There's a new survey in town. Too bad the Sy's lost their #1 post. Got a good guess at the top spot? Well, just three letters... G-M-A
