sa ngayon po kasi, we are OVERFED but UNDERNOURISHED. wag po natin kalimutan ang GO, GROW and GLOW.

Here are the culprits:

1. Kung nag-i-skip ka ng meal dahil takot ka tumaba, better stop that
habit immediately!

Why?
--> Ang iba ang ini-isip papayat sila pag hindi sila kumain,
the truth is, it is actually the opposite thing that happen. When your
body switch to starvation mode, its tendency is to store fat as a defense
mechanism. Pwede ka pumayat sa pag-starve, IF you are going to
starve for 1 week or longer. Pero siyempre, kung guilty ka sa pag-i-skip
ng meal, of course you will eat later on. The bad thing about that is that
you will eat more than your usual meal to compensate your hunger,
in that case, magkakaroon ka ng insulin spike wherein most of the
carb you consume will be converted into body fat.

The solution?
--> Try to eat every 2 to 3 hours. And consume the right kind of carb.
And that is the complex carb(e.g. oat, brown rice, kamote, etc.) The reason
for that is because most of the complex carb containing foods are also high in
fiber, & it makes the digestion slower to supply your body a steady
source of energy, thus, making you feel full & so you will not crave
for any foods.
--> Cut your carb after 6pm unless you are still physically active after
that time. The logic is simple, if you are already going to bed, your
body will not need so much more glycogen(energy from carb) kaya
mai-store na lang yan as fat.

2. Kung umi-inom ka nong mga in can or in bottle na kumo labeled
as "zero sugar" or "sugar free" as a substitute sa regular drinks mo, stop
it immediately!

Why?
They will not give you such nutrients you need. And even will not help
you to lose weight. These kind of products are using "substitute" for the
sugar to make the drinks still taste sweet. The problem is that some of
these "substitute" thing are treated by our body as foreign object kaya
ang mangyayari they will just be added to the layer of your
body fat because they cannot be used as energy. So try to consume
the real sugar instead, in a moderate way. Stop drinking alcohol na
din kung umi-inom ka.

3. Maybe you are avoiding fat also as for the threat na pwede mka-dagdag
sa taba mo. Well, better be aware of your fat intake. In reality, fats are
essential to our health. And believe it or not, fats are use to burn fat.

Why?
Ok, let's make it clear first, there are many kinds of fats(e.g. trans fat,
saturated, monounsaturated, & polyunsaturated). The first one is the
worst fat & you may want to avoid that as much as possible. That kind of
fat is usually found on the processed foods to make the life longer.

Yong saturated fat naman. It increases both the LDL(bad cholesterol) &
HDL(good cholesterol). Kaya take it in moderation.

The monounsaturated fat & polyunsaturated fats are the best ones among
them all. Because they help you reduce the risk of heart disease and
other illnesses. This kind of fats, besides being good, they are also dense
in calories, meaning they will stay in your system longer. The linoleic
acid from this kind of fats gives you the feeling of satiety, the state of your
brain that tells your body you are full, thus, forcing your body to use
the stored fat to be used as energy. But just because they are good
doesn't mean you can indulge them. Remember na lahat
ng sobra ay masama. By the way, good source of that is the olive oil(extra virgin olive oil). Personally,
i drink two tablespoons of it, one in the morning and one in the evening
& i'm very pleased with the result!

In addition, there are vitamins that are fat-soluble, meaning, can only
be absorbed by your body if there is enough fats in the foods you intake.
Example of these vitamins are Vit. A, D, E, & K. That is exactly the
reason why you have to drink your Vitamin supplement pagkatapos kumain.
Try to consume fat 10-15% of your daily caloric need.

Lastly, sleep at least 8hrs a day. Study shows that people who sleep
longer, lost more body fat percentage than those who don't. You can
search that over the internet if you are in doubt.
Also, try to make a cardio (ideally a combination of intense & moderate one).
Do it 3x a week. It will make significant increase in your metabolism.

You should understand that there is no "magic pill" on the market that
will make you skinny in just one night. If there are claiming such idea,
they just want your money. A good, healthy, and fit body is obtain by
making your body active. Our body is designed for that.

Eat the right kind of foods and don't be fooled by those products claiming
something magical that will happen to your body. Please remember that
90% of being physically and mentally fit is obtain in the kitchen and the
remaining 10% is from your activity and discipline. No matter how you strive
for your goal, without proper nutrition, you are already the one paving up your
own success! Same principle applies to the ones who want to gain mass.

Sana nakatulong. Goodluck!

The more rules, the more frustrations!
Just listen to your body..
Diets doesnt work! the more you diet, the more you will gain weight..
They will tell you to avoid certain foods, but as you do, the more you crave for them.

3 lang ang rules jan which i find more effective. and you will not feel deprive in the process.

1. Eat ONLY when you're hungry..
Kahit pa lunctime na kung di ka pa gutom, dont eat..
Inalagay ni GOD yang hunger fang na yan as a signal not as a villain.
EAT ANY food that you want, including yung mga sinasabi nilang wag mong kainin..

2. Eat small portion of those foods..about 50% of what you use to consumed..

3. Galaw-galaw. Have an active lifestyle. Wag tatamad-tamad. Im sure alam mo na na as you move you'll burn calories.
