Yep, yung rep is given by Staff only and possibly by special usergroups (http://www.symbianize.com/showgroups.php) also in the future. Para maregulate at mas maging credible yung reputation system.
Among members, recommended na gamitin ng husto yung thanks system. Wag kayong maghesitate na pindutin yon, sa isang segundo lang na pagclick ng thanks button, mamomotivate natin yung co-symbianizers natin and hindi tatamarin na magpost. :)

Just to let everyone know, reputation is not always positive. Our moderators may give disapproval reputations (negative points). But dont confuse it with infraction points. Disapproval rep is simply nothing but some points deducted to your total rep pts and the optional reason for that. No one will ever see or know that you received a -rep except you and the moderator who gave you that -rep, and it wont be visible to you anymore after you receive 5 +reps. As opposed to infraction or warning, which leaves a permanent history on your profile page and is visible to everyone.

And to make it clearer, if you receive a -rep, it doesnt mean that you violated a rule. It is simply a way of showing that one particular moderator doesnt like your post. Just like receiving +rep, if you receive a +rep it doesnt mean that your post is totally good. Some may like it, some may not. I for one, gives +rep not because the post is useful to me but for the effort and willingness of the poster to share.

good idea...this will make symbianize members more careful to choose on what they post, we just hope that the moderators will be more fair enough in giving reps hehe...i appreciate this effort of the mods to make symbianzie clean hehe

Hindi po. May certain rep power (na umaakyat rin habang tumatagal) ang isang Mod, Elite, etc. and hindi nya pwede i-dictate kung ilang rep points gusto nya pamigay.
