HOW TO JOIN:
Keep in mind that being a Symbianize Special Group member is a responsibility. Each group has its own assigned tasks to be accomplished.

This is to inform everyone that we will be removing the public (joinable) groups any time this week. Actually, we are not totally removing it. PRM, TA, and GA will still be here. And we are bringin' back the Symbianize Guru group.

But this time, group members are no longer required to do tasks. The inclusion to the group will serve as an award or acknowledgment to your special contributions to Symbianize. When we say special contributions, these are the things that no ordinary member can do. You need some talent, knowledge, or determination to do such things. More info will be given later.

What will happen to existing group members? Some of them will stay, some will go. Depending on their contributions. I will personally look on their posts.

Starting today, PR Managers, and Graphic Artists are no longer joinable groups. These groups along with Symbianize Gurus will serve as acknowledgment or classification for members who made special contributions to Symbianize. These contributions may require some skills, knowledge, and sincerity.


Inclusion to the group depends on your posts. Below are some guidelines on how members are classified.

Symbianize Gurus - Those members who help others on their inquiries (mostly technical). We may also see them posting some tips or tutorials.

PR Managers - Those members who constantly help us grow by promoting symbianize. Number of referrals and links from other sites (posts from Promote Symbianize (http://www.symbianize.com/forumdisplay.php?f=109)) will play a big part here. But dont get too excited about the referral thing, since referrals can be faked. We only value those referrals who posts on Symbianize. So even if you have 1000 referrals and all them have 0 post, that somehow mean nothing.

Graphic Artists - Those members with sufficient knowledge in photo editing and graphic design and willing to share their creations. So if anyone is interested on becoming a Symbianize Graphic Artist, they should create their own thread and post their creations there.
OR
Those members who are skilled in creating mobile phone themes using the Nokia Theme Studio or other official theme making software and willing to share their creations. They should have their own thread and upload their themes directly here in Symbianize. Ownskinners are definitely not qualified for this group since themes generated by ownskin and other similar sites, lack creativity and requires a very less effort. We also value quality than quantity.


To complete the list, here are the 3 other groups...

Elite Members - Those members with significant forum contributions to Symbianize. Members who earned 500 or more reputation points automatically promoted to this group.

Symbianize VIPs - Those members who made financial contributions to Symbianize. Their donations helped us cover our site expenses and avail for added services. Members who managed to donate a total of at least $15 (or PHP 500) are automatically included to this group.

Moderators - Moderate the forums to maintain orderliness and uphold the Forum Guidelines. Some may consider them as the most powerful users in any Forum since they can manage any post or thread within their assigned forums or sections and may ban any member. A member must be friendly, fair, tolerant, familiar with the forum guidelines, and possesses forum awareness to qualify for this group. Reporting bad posts increases the chances of being chosen, warnings and infractions received decrease those chances. Anyone who wishes to become one must go through our Moderator Training (http://www.symbianize.com/showthread.php?t=8045) program.

Trustees aids in the financial affairs of Symbianize and have the same authority as Moderators except that they don't moderate the forums.

Update:
There's a merger between Graphic Artist and Theme Artist groups.
Graphic Artist is the surviving group. But members of the group will now be identified having green color usernames. Adjustments will be made later.

Napag-usapan na ng Staff yung tungkol sa pagbabago na gagawin natin sa user groups. Actually ibabalik lang natin yung dating sistema. Kung saan yung mga piling grupo ay may kanya kanyang trabaho at dapat mag-provide o mag-contribute sa site natin on a regular basis. At dahil may dapat na silang gawin, kinakailangan na ng group leader na dapat sundin ng group members na syang magsasaayos ng grupo. Sa ngayon, ang mga members ng grupo nila ang pipili ng kani-kanilang group leader. Every 3 months, maaari silang pumili ng panibagong group leader kung gusto nila.

Ang mga group leaders ay automatic na magiging member ng Symbianize Staff. May authority rin sila kagaya ng Moderators at Trustee natin.

At dahil dyan, ibinabalik na rin ulit yung mga incentives na kagaya ng PM quota & recipient increase, custom user title, avatar/signature image size increase, ability to give approval reps, etc. sa mga user groups na ito.


Sa mga gustong mag-request ng bagong user group, eto ang qualifications:
-kinakailangang kapakipakinabang sa forum members o sa site mismo ang mga gawain ng grupo.
-mayroon na dapat ng hindi bababa sa tatlong members ang grupo (kasama na ang group leader)

Sinimplihan ko lang yung mga pangalan at objectives dyan. Depende na sa inyo kung paano nyo palalawakin yung responsibilities para ma-approve agad yung grupo nyo.

Sa current user groups natin ngayon, dalawa ang madi-disolve na. Ang Symbianize Guru at PR Manager. To compensate, bawat member ng grupo ay makakatanggap ng tig-300 reputation points at ng corresponding medal nila kung wala pa sila non.

Sa Graphic Artist group naman, responsibility na ng grupo ang may kinalaman sa graphics. Required na silang mag-provide ng avatars at signature images na idadagdag natin sa default avatars at signature images natin dito. Sisiguraduhin din nila na may members nila na kukuha sa mga graphic requests. Sila rin ang aasikaso o magsu-supervise ng mga graphic contests and awards. At kung kaya nilang mag-provide ng tutorials mas mabuti. Ang group leader na ang bahalang mag-assign kung sino gagawa ng defaults, ng requests, ng tutorials, etc. base na rin sa kakayahan at kagustuhan ng members nya.

Dahil sa mga pagbabago na ito, tatanungin muna natin ang bawat member ng Graphic Artist natin ngayon kung gusto pa rin nilang manatiling member ng grupo. Kapag pinili nyang manalatili bilang Graphic Artist, kailangan nyang makipag-cooperate sa grupo at sundin ang kung anumang naka-assign sa kanya.

Kaya tinatawagan natin ngayon ang lahat ng members ng Graphic Artist, kung gusto nyo pa ring mapabilang sa grupo, ipaalam nyo lang sa amin sa pamamagitan ng pag-PM nyo sa akin ng napili nyong group leader. Pero tanungin nyo muna yung gusto nyong maging group leader kung tinatanggap nya yung position na yon. Kung gusto nyo namang umalis na sa grupo, wala na kayong dapat gawin. Hindi nyo na kailangang mag-PM o pumili ng group leader. May 7 days kayo mula ngayon para magdesisyon.

And those members who managed to donate at least a total of $20 to our funds are also included to this group. This is not a public group so a group leader is not necessary. This, however, is a permanent membership so that means once you become a member of this group, you remain to this group no matter what happens even if you're no longer actively participating in our site.

10. Members requesting to join Blitzers group must be providing mirrors for at least a month already before being approved.
11. Most importantly: HINDI UNGAS!

WHAT WE DO:

1. Provide alternate download links for files hosted in Rapidshare, Megashare, Megaupload, etc. found in THIS FORUM ONLY
2. Fix broken links of mirrored files.
3. Thank the file uploader by clicking the THANK BUTTON
4. Promote Symbianize by attaching text docs (readme.txt files)and/or clickable "link-to-us" in the mirrored files. (sample format attached)

Objective: Provide members of the Symbianize community quality mobile themes on a regular basis

Responsibilities:
1. Grant theme requests within 1 week*
2. Upload at least 2 new themes every week*
3. Answer technical questions pertaining to the use of any mobile theming applications
4. Provide updates and tutorials regarding the use of theming applications
5. If possible, collab on a unique Symbianize theme format (i.e. icon pack) that will identify the theme as a unique Symb theme

Qualifications:
1. Must have at least 30 unique and quality themes posted directly to symbianize;
2. Have served at least 10 theme requests;
3. Must use any of the theming applications for their themes. Online theme making scripts like "Ownskin" are not acceptable.
4. Must have his/her own theme thread.
5. should have at least 100 reputation points

*still depends on the schedule of the xtremers outside symbianize
