This contest was created to enhance the GFX skills of our members..
Please don't mind the prize. The important is that we enjoy competing with each other thus enhancing our own skills within. As what my friend said "defeating a great gfxer is already a prize". Win or Lose, the important is we learn thru competing... Always remember that "Failure is not defeat, unless you stop trying". Chances are there. There's more room for improvements. Practice makes perfect designs. Please support the GFX Community. Thanks.

you got a point bro but based on experience in using polling system, anybody can vote without explaining their choice (authenticity of vote) which can lead to just choosing somebody even if he is not worth the win (without knowing who votes it), you can choose your friend even his entry is not that good (nobody will know)...

what's the good thing about explaining your vote is that we can discern the nature of someone's vote (is it for popularity, just to support someone to win, deserving entry, etc), also (without the poll display results) we cant easily track the number of votes for someone since others may votes for someone just to balanced the vote with somebody (no sense at all since he is not choosing the best)...

sir... pwede pa rin naman po i-explain ang vote mo if you want...we have all the freedom to do so...ang point ko po is mag-lagay po ng POLL...di ko po sinabing wag ng i-explain why they vote for that certain entry :D

crazy...suggestion lang po...bkit di ka na lang po gumawa ng POLL para mas kita po ng mga member ang result (yung mga naka-vote na)... mas mahirap po kasi kung ganito ang system ng voting natin...

just like yung nangyaring JUDGING sa WALLPAPER Contest...hosted by sir anachist... actually we didn't know the criteria for their judging (at first)... which is i think a good thing... but when they announced the winners... we all agree & satisfied with the outcome of the result... :D we all agree with the fairness of their judgement :thumbsup:

thecategory for judging are:

Originality and Uniqueness of the Wallpaper.

Lighting Focal Point and Depth of the Wallpaper.

Flow and Blending of the Wallpaper text and design.

Unity, Clarity and Overall Design of the Wallpaper Entry.

the total scores of the 3 judges were then summed up and the wallpaper entry having the lowest score is declared the winner.

We apologize about this matter... probably some of us were been used to other graphic forum site's SOTW that no panel of judges and other criterias... just a render and boom, off we go... (all judgments were based on how you manipulate the render... no theme involve, just some creativity on putting effects on the subjected render)

second medyo mahirap yung system ng pag bigay ng credits sa participants. kasi pag ako ang host at ng post ako ng works nyo. hindi mabibigyan ng credits ng mga me gusto ng work yung mismong participant until matapos yung contest.

third i think mejo patas pa naman ang paraan ng pagboto ninyo ng sotw

I also think of having anonymous entries to prevent bias-ing on votes and sometimes ung reasons nila sa votes ay simply dahil "friends kami etc." ahihi..

pero tama si anachist sa kapakanan ng lahat thats the best reason. para ganahan lalu ung artist na gumawa at pagbutihin ang gawa nila.

nasa host narin sigoro at mods ang discipline sa loob ng thread nila.. at ijustify kung valid ang reason sa vote nila bago icount.
