Ohio's Narcissus have broken up after five years and several albums. Formed in 1998, the group has subsequently released material with Clenchedfist Records and Takehold Records before signing with Abacus Recordings in mid-2002 and releasing their "Crave and Collapse" full-length. Here's a statement from the band:

"To all of our family, friends and fans...we thank you for an amazing 5 plus amazing years that you've given us. John LaRussa and I have decided to let Narcissus go and move on to the next step of our lives. Your love and support have inspired us beyond our imagination...and we couldn't have done this without you. Our decision was difficult, but necessary. We're proud to have had one more chance to release our hearts and souls within Crave and Collapse...enjoy it and we hope you remember us by it. Most importantly, we hope that our music could make a difference in this world. That's all we've ever asked."

Former Narcissus guitarist John Larussa recently formed a band called Inhale Exhale. The group also features bassist Brian Pittman (ex-Reliant K), vocalist Andy Levy, and drummer Bobby Poole II.

Circle of Dust was a mid-1990s heavy metal/industrial band in the Ministry mold created and run by Scott Albert who is now famous for his solo band Celldweller.
The band spawned numerous offspring projects, primarily lead by both Klay and his lead guitarist, Darren "Klank" Diolosa, including Klank, Angeldust (with Criss Angel later released as the Mindfreak Trilogy), Argyle Park, and Chatterbox.
Circle of Dust was popular in Christian circles during most of the 1990s, even though Klay Scott broke up the band in 1995. After their breakup, Klay released one
"last" album, Disengage. The liner notes to Disengage contained bits and pieces of an interview he had done, in which he explained that he had chosen to disband
Circle of Dust and start anew with a later project called Angeldust (which also featured Criss Angel but all music was released under Criss Angel:Mindfreak Trilogy), as well as various photographs hinting at feeling rejected by
churches. Circle of Dust was criticized by some Christians for not having religious enough lyrics, while other Christians criticized the music for being too chaotic.
While there have been many other Christian bands involved in similar controversies, Circle of Dust was often considered to be one of the most controversial.

The first release was an indie demo tape of all things under the title:

Originally released in 1992 on R.E.X. Records, Mindwarp is the one and only release by Scott Albert and Doug Mann under the moniker of BRAINCHILD.

Do you guys know about Neil Morse? He was once the keyboardist/vocalist of the famous neo progressive rock band called Spock's Beard. He resigned and pursued a solo career. Check out his albums. Meron syang double CD album entitled Testimony. As the tile suggests, yun yung testimony nya, on how he became a Christian, Ang galing kasi yung mga lyrics nag kukwento, peo nilapatan ng mga astig na progressive tendencies.. Another albums worth checking out from Neil are "?" and Sola Scriptura. Pag may nahanap akong link, ilagay ko dito.

Actually marami pa sa metal scene ang nag pahayag na Christian na raw sila. Yung gitaista ng KoRn, Nico McBrain na drummer ng Iron Maiden, pati yata yung gitarista ng (believe it or not) Slayer. Minsan ayaw na nya nga raw tugtugin yung ibang songs, hindi ko lang alam kung gano katotoo ito. Pati yung bassist ng Dream Theater, si John Myung, when asked who is his biggest influence he replied with a low toned voice: "Jesus Christ".

Fists to the sky, headbanging, leather-clad heavy metal! "The Axe of the Apostles" is pure heavy metal, not unlike bands like Armored Saint, Saint, and early Savatage. Crunchy guitars, headbanging riffs, guitar solos, sing-along choruses, and the whole nine yards. It brings me back to the days when we were all discovering bands on compilations like Metal Massacre, U.S. Metal and California Metal.

Neal Morse (born on August 2, 1960 in Van Nuys, California) is a prolific American multi-instrumentalist and progressive rock composer based in Nashville, Tennessee. He is known for his musical versatility and his writing and recording output.

Morse became a born again Christian in 2002. He left both Spock's Beard and Transatlantic immediately following the release of the Spock's Beard album Snow. The period leading to this decision is described on the solo album Testimony (2003), an epic, introspective composition which features Kerry Livgren of Kansas and Mike Portnoy. One part of his conversion to Christianity, omitted from Testimony but described in full on Testimony Live, was that his daughter Jayda had been diagnosed as having a hole in her heart that required open-heart surgery. Neal says that after prayer, Jayda is now well and the heart is normal. This is confirmed by the doctors, and they said that it was a miracle.
