Before, oo..safe sabihin toh.. pero as of now, sa price na lang competitive ang AMD.. lamang na lamang na mga latest na intel processors both on multimedia and gaming..

just my one cent..

Kung may budget ka, go for intel.. kung gipit, amd na lang.. amd user ako and so far, wala ako angal sa performance niya.. so far so good for me.. i use it mainly on gaming..

sabi nila, mas madali daw uminit ang intel.. sbai nila.. in my experience, ngayong summer, umaabot lang siya ng 42c kapag tanghali.. im just using stock fan.. kung maguupgrade ako in the future, ill go again for amd.. :)

For me, use Intel... Even though I'm an AMD fan... As of now, Intel has been making bigger and bigger innovations than AMD... And with your budget, I think you can upgrade your System Unit to a Core 2 Duo....

OhNow3P

Choose intel... intel all the way kung kaya. (AMD fan ako... and forever will be)

next E6750, then E8XXX, then Q6600(G0 stepping). Pero the E8500 would be adequate.

E2140 ~ 3K

Next choose a board. buy the best board you can afford. in hierarchy of chipsets... the last being the best/most expensive.
nvidia 7100/630a, G33, P35, X38, X48. i would generally stay away (for now) on nvidia board chipsets kasi PCI-E 1.0 pa lang yung mga mura, except for the first one kasi budget yun...

ECS GF7100PVT-M3 (V1.0) (You can see links before reply) ~ 2500

Video card naman get the best Nvidia DDR3 you can afford... or opt for the Radeon 3650... for me the best value midpriced PCI-E video card.

512MB
Powercolor 3650 DDR3 ~ 4K
Inno3D 8600 GT ~ 4.5K

go for 2X1GB RAM 800MHz ~ 2K

Goodluck.

dun sa nagtatanong nung pangvideo Editing, depende po sa gravity ng editing... pero kung pahapyaw lang, ok na tong setup na to... opt na lang for a 45nm processor or quad core processor... intel pa rin.

freakice27
14th Apr 2008, 04:55

hehe, im using E2140 at the moment... 80% OC.. :D

pero, i'll upgrade to the latest E8XXX series once i have the budget..

Mga Pre, Kung Processor Ang Topic Nasa User Yun Kung Ano Yung Gusto Nya...

Intel If May Kaya Ka,. Kasi Mahal Yung Processors Nila Compared To Amd Na Mas Mura...

Intel If Pang Application Mo Gagamitin Yung Pc Mo Kasi Amd Is More On For Gaming...

Tignan Nyo Yung Fsb Ng Processor, Mga Bago Ngayon Ay 1333fsb Na,

Pero Best Value Kahit Athlon Le Processor Lang 1,500 Lang Yun

Msi Na Motherboard

Pero Kung Talagang Gusto Nyo Ay Hataw Na Pc Dapat Mataas Jan Ay Yung Memory At Yung Video Card Pero Take Note Your Motherboard Kasi Ito Yung Nagde-decide If Anung Peripherals Pwede Mo Ikabit Sa Pc Mo Eh Dahil Sa Mga Available Na Slots Or Sockets Nito... If Kaya Upgrade Mo Yung Motherboard Mo 1st.

Memory Dapat Ay Ddr2 Mas Mura Na To Ngayon,

May Motherboard Na Kaya Mag Support Ng 8gig Of Memory Bale 4pcs Ng 2gig Ddr2 Na Memory, 2gig Memory Is 1,500 Na Lang Sa Pc Express Imagine Your Pc Running On 8gig Of Memory Wow Sulit Na Sulit Hehehe

At Yung Gamitin Nyo Na Video Card Ay Yung 1gig Na Video Card Pcie Inno 3d 8500gt 3k+ Or 8600gt Na Nasa 4k Ang Presyo.

Sana Nakatulong Pre Basta Pre If Kailangan No Tulong Samahan Kita Mag Assemble At Bumili Ng Parts Para Astig Pc Mo Tayo Na Mag-assemble Nakatipid Ka Pa Sa Labor Charge Pati Install In Os Mo Genuine Xp Or Vista Pa Hehehe

hehe.. .sasabihin ko nga gayahin spec mo e... kaso mejo outdated na board mo e....

yep mejo outdated na nga.. :D

Pero rock solid pa rin wala pang probs so far.. gumana pa yung BSEL mod.. hehe..

After the Intel E8XXX Core2Duo w/ 6MB Cache, susunod ko na ung mobo.. im looking at the XFX 780i 3-way SLI motherboard

gusto ko features nya..

hehehe, hintay hintay lang bumaba ang prices.. :D

Bakit Pa Kayo Mag Core 2 Duo Eh Meron Nang Core 2 Quad Hehehhe...
OO nga mahal :D

Q6600 G0 Stepping - around 10-12K
QX9650 - hindi bababa ng 35K :slap:

May Motherboard Na Kaya Mag Support Ng 8gig Of Memory Bale 4pcs Ng 2gig Ddr2 Na Memory, 2gig Memory Is 1,500 Na Lang Sa Pc Express Imagine Your Pc Running On 8gig Of Memory Wow Sulit Na Sulit Hehehe

At Yung Gamitin Nyo Na Video Card Ay Yung 1gig Na Video Card Pcie Inno 3d 8500gt 3k+ Or 8600gt Na Nasa 4k Ang Presyo.

Hanggang 3GB+ lang kaya iutilize ng 32bit na windows OS, the rest is reserved for hardware due to Physical Address Extension (PAE).. In real life usage, 4GB is already overkill for desktop purposes.. Utilization of 8GB can only be possible with 64bit Windows OS.

About sa Video card.. 512-1GB is good i you want to play games in high-resolution (1024 x 768 and higher) pero for the 8500GT(16 streaming processors) and 8600GT(32 Streaming processors), there is a serious bottleneck issue because given the higher memory, those card's processing power becomes insufficient if running at high resolution. Most low-midrange cards as far as NVIDIA Chipsets are concerned with 512mb and 1GB memory are restricted to DDR2 only..

So a VC w/ DDR3 or DDR4 memory is more bang for the buck..

btw, if you're a member of TPC (Tipid PC) you can buy from PcHub a brand new:

Inno3d 8800GT at the following prices: 256mb (6.7K), 512mb(7.4K), and 512mb OC edition(7.7K)

lahat sila DDR3 na..

Meron na din nagtitinda ng G80-based (not the G92 revision) 8800GTS 320mb 320bit dun for around 5-7k lang.. hehehe..

-----------

Just my opinion po.

for proofs tignan nyo toh:

meron iba napaabot pa ng 3.6Ghz stable (120% Overclock).. gusto ko rin sana umabot sa ganun kaso sabi nga ni OhNow3p hehe pangit at medyo outdated na board ko..

Right now, You can't go wrong with the current Technology...Optimum na ang level nito kasi... Most of the Newer version, is just a Marketing HYPE... Kung common user ka lang, why do you need a Intel Core 2 Quad or AMD Phenom where in fact you are just using your rig in doing some Documents/Internet Stuff... Also playing with Solitaire, Zuma, TextTwist, etc...

Again, Go for a RIG which Suits your Need and your Budget... If you are planning to build a New System Unit, make sure na naka Full scale ka na at hindi ka na mag-iisip ng UPGRADE... Most of the PC components nowadays ay madaling mag-phase out... kung gusto mo ng 2gb na RAM, mag 2GB ka na lang agad...:D

Also, hindi lang Processor ang basis for a good system unit... Most of it, based on my Experience, nagmamater talaga ang Chipset ng Mobo, FSB at Cache ng Processor, Speed ng RAM, at Type/Core Speed ng Video Card...:D

yung nagsasabing AMD kung nagtitipid, nagkakamali ka, the E2140 can out-perform the Athlon64 X2 5000+ BE when both are OCed. the difference is mas mababa ng mga 1K yung Intel.

but anyway, tama si hmx_ryan, chipset nga ang nagmamatter, mamili ka ng board na may pinakamagandang chipset tapos dun mo base ang processor decision mo. like me, i am opting to go AMD because of the 780G chipset in m-ATX design. wala pa kasi nailalabas nvidia(for intel, mahal kasi G35) na IGp na katulad nito (although sabi nila may daw lalabas...)

my purpose is a torrent machine where i can watch my downloads... paired with a 45W AMD procie, tipid sa kuryente yung planned rig ko.

So nakadepende talaga sa use

hmmmmm....

ganito yan ehh....in my POV...
kung processor to processor syempre panalo intel...

pero if you are talking about over-all performance and cost efficiency....go for AMD...
anyways kahit gaano pa ka bilis ang processor mo....the bottleneck is here to stay....

pwede ko na panuorin dito in full HD yung DL ko agad-agaran...tapos mas madali mag-upgrade... go phenom 9600 Black Ed. + Radeon 3450 = hybrid crossfire madness... budget gaming rig na agad...

im using a Sempron 2800+ and it runs like a pentium 4 2.0 to pentium 4 2.6..
no problems with overheating whatsoever.
my video card is a 256MB ASUS A9500GE..
1 GB RAM.

Performance = OK!
Speed = ok!

PRICE = CHEAPER than INTEL.

15th Feb 2009, 19:50
bro may post na ng ganitong thread. What is the best processor ang title.. at dun sa poll na yun, lamang ang Intel..

haha!

Kung gaming ka, AMD is good, but Intel is better. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 ang CPU Queen nung wala pa yung higher versions and yung Phenom II and i7.

Intel Core 2 Duo and Quad Processors bring out the best in gaming. If you would go for Crysis, COD 4, and other FPS(Frames/second)-hungry games, I suggest Core 2 Quad. Pero kung kuntento ka na sa average lang, mura na at matipid pa sa kuryente, go for Core 2 Duo.

GO INTEL!!!!!!!:p

vandie
15th Feb 2009, 19:59

jekkyz
16th Feb 2009, 02:47
take my advice guys! sa ngaun di nio pa need ng core2quad na procie! core2duo is enough magtatapon lang kau ng pera! why? halos karamihan pa ng mga programs ngaun optimized at na develop using 2 core flatforms, sa ngaun hindi nio pa talaga need yan may be in the future pero mabilis malaos ang mga pyesa ngaun sa panahon na to di mo kailangan i overkill ang specs mo!, parang ganito yan para kang iinom ng isang kutsaritang gamot gamit ang isang sandok. kailangan pa ba gumamit ng sandok para inumin ang isang kutsaritang gamot? well sana naintindihan nio

17th Feb 2009, 13:23

AMD parin ako. games or hindi AMD parin. AMD is still 20% faster than Intel. Kahit same GHz rating sya, mas mabilis parin ang AMD. With a good cooling system, AMD is much better than Intel.

Hinamon nga ng AMD ang Intel for a dual-core server-chip benchmarking head-to-head. Ayaw ng intel.

Intel po, . Using Pentium 4 1.80ghz . since 2003, Mabilis Parin at Pwede pang ipangtapat sa Intel Core 2 Duo ko ngayon, Difference nga lang di ko Pede Gamitin ang Vista dun.
