2007 was a pretty incredible year for PSP, wasn't it? It featured some fantastic games, such as Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, Jeanne d'Arc, and more. Unfortunately, too few actually went out to buy these games.

Next-Gen compiled a list of the bestselling games from 2007, and PSP exclusives managed to get zero games on their list of 100 games. (Data is compiled from the US and UK. Japan is not included.) That means no PSP games managed to break 460k sales (the total of the 100th ranked game) in all of 2007.

Is piracy making a significant dent on PSP software sales? We'd say "yes." No wonder Sony is asking about the homebrew situation; and no wonder the PSP library for the rest of the year is so slim -- publishers have been burned.

-mga guys, any reaction to this?

First, buy those game that you like, those companies work hard and improve their games just to satisfy the customer wants. and we don't want to waste them. we want them to create a new game that has same or much entertaining and we give them support to buy their product to funds and pay all their services. we don't want to let the PSP scene die. naka lima nakong umd and still planning to buy once na nakaipon ulet ako. at kung maari, kung pede nila bawasan ang price ng UMD nila, kung pede pa nila bawasan. kasi mostly, eto reasons ng mga nagccfw, to avoid paying a large sum of money.

second, Sony should really care about the homebrew support (excluding the piracy support). mostly eto nagbebenta sa PSP dahil marami nagagawa ang homebrew kesa sa original feature ng PSP firmware.

anyway thanks to all the developers of this great
applications specially fanjita & DA.. :thumbsup:

@threadstarter

yes piracy is killing psp games developer. I know that the best things in life is free, however we need to do our part naman so that the developers can produce more. give and take yan dapat...hehhehe:)

BUY ORIGINAL GAMES that you think suits you... Gamitin nyo lang ang mga ISO/CSO for backup or testing....hehhehehe:)

@all

Tama nga...kaya malaki ang sales ng psp at boom is because of the homebrew apps .. un talaga ang panlaban ng psp sa ibang console e :D
