matagal na dapat kahit na yung recent elections.. kaso hindi matutupad yan.. kasi mahirap mandaya diyan.. kaya hindi yan pinupursue.. mas madali kasi imanipulate kapag manual.. kumpleto na tayo sa gamit.. aaprubahan na lang ang problema kaso hinaharang using the issue about the irregularities sa pagbili..

It's long overdue and dapat complete poll automation from voters registration to counting. During Abalos tenure as Comelec chairman he wasted billions of pesos on the MegaPacific deal that didn't work. Kurabo is right. The politicians are stalling on poll automation because it will be difficult to cheat specially if a good electoral software is used.

sana nga good software..kaya lang tingin ko kahit ano pa gamitin nila, digital, manual, automatic, mechanical o abacus kaya..its the same...as long as naron ang selfishness ng bawat tao.

Medyo malabo na naman ang poll automation kasi yong trial run nung mga softwares dapat ay gagawin sa ARRM elections. Now the Administration is trying to postpone the ARRM elections under some reasons. Pagdating ng 2010 Comelec will say that they cannot use poll automation because it's untested yet. If ever they go ahead with it they probably use it also to invalidate the results because of glitches or they can even manipulte it. I'm not saying it will happen but that is a very strong possibility.

The politicos and the comelec have apparently planned to circumvent the system since day 1. An example is that there appears to be a provision that votes tallied by the computer would still be subject to a so-called "validation" which is a manual undertaking. second there is little control over the security paper used. Apparently they overprint the election paraphernalia. My friends did'nt elaborate further though. Safety of their life and limb reasons, I guess.

I am expecting that the politicians will prevent poll automation and if they cannot they will make sure that the poll automation will have loopholes that they can use for cheating.
Technologically speaking, it is possible to make poll automation as secure and as reliable as the banking system. The only question is do they really want to make it safe and secure. Paano sila makakapandaya?

malabo 'yan..Sana computerized na nga un nga lang sigurado pag naging computerized may dayaan pa din tulad nung mga tao na walang alam sa computer(or ung mga tao na nde nakapag-aral) tapos turuan sila.... basta alam kong alam nyo na ibig kong sabihin..:D
