Sony Ericsson P5


It looks like the announcement of the highly rumored Sony Ericsson P5, codenamed Paris, is really close, as today several real photos of this baby leaked online

Beside the photos, no additional information about the Sony Ericsson P5 is revealed. The obvious is that the phone has slider form factor, M2 card slot, the proprietary QWERTY keyboard of Sony Ericsson M600, a 5 megapixel camera with lens cover and a secondary videocall camera located at the front panel. The display will be a touchscreen one - a stylus is tucked in the upper right corner of the body.

a dedicated music key on the right side of the Sony Ericsson P5, which probably is used for the shake control or other accelerometer-based function. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any side scroll wheel on the left side - a control we are used to from previous high-end Sony Ericsson smartphones.

Sony Ericsson P5 is supposed to run on the latest UIQ 3.3 UI for Symbian. Other goodies include the built-in GPS receiver, Wi-Fi, and HSDPA connectivity. Impressive enough, we can't wait to see it finally announced.

Bakit ganun, 208 Mhz pa din ang processor nya?! Bago nga OS nya, Ver. 3.3, pero magabal pa din ang processor speed niya, grabe, ang E6 mas matanda sa P1i pero ang processor speed nya is 311 Mhz... Ang point ko lang is, hindi pwede ako maglaro ng java games habang bukas ang media player, pero sa luma kong phone ay pwede... Sana naman i-upgrade nila yung processor, or I won't see myself upgrading kasi halos pareho lang naman ang features... Just my one cent's worth of opinion...

It's basically the same as updating the firmware of P990i, ang difference lang, 'yung letter "c" mismo iho-hold mo while plugging the phone to the PC...

lahat sila parehas ang processor. mukhang nagtagal sa kanila ang 208mhz na ito kasi stable at me graphics accelerator kaya maski gaano kabilis yung mga bagong phone ng nokia eh hindi nalalayo ang SE.:praise:

pansinin nyo ang nokia andaming klase/speed ng processor na ginagamit parang wala naman pinagbago. kakasawa ang nokia. mula nang mag SE ako eh ok na ok na. :yipee:

Xperia uses 528mhz not 208mhz and i is winmo.. Hardwarewise identical halos ang mga uiq phones (p1i,w960i,g900). This leaves an impression na pare-pareho lang ang mga uiq cp at kapag naglalabas ng bagong cp ang se, very small lang ang difference. It's also a matter of stability, marami nang uiq users ang nagswitch sa ibang os (winmo or s60) dahil na rin sa p990i na parang proto unit nung nilabas dahil sa dami ng problema.. Kaya hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin mawala wala ang negative feedbacks sa se. I've been considering to buy the p990i because i think na mas maganda ang form factor niya kaysa sa p1i pero after reading a lot of reviews about this cp, i thought better na mag-ipon pa para p1i na lang ang bilin kasi i'm a power user and i cant live with 16mb of ram compared to my cp's 32mb of ram. Pero i'm having my doubts now kasi i think nokia cp's are more flexible and stable than the latest uiq phones. Pero who knows? Sa october pa ako makakabili ng bagong cp and a lot of thing could happen..

sigurado ako bibigyan ng xperia ng magandang laban and iphone. in terms of charisma kasi sigurado ma madami bibili ng iphone (SYEMPRE MAS MARAMI ANG HINDI NAG-IISIP) hehehehe

malayong maganda ang xperia. although mas mahal sigurado. but if i have the bucks, xperia is my ultimate phone......

If only Symbian ang OS ng Iphone.. Well, based on my biased opinion, Symbian is a lot more better than Windows Mobile.. And what the f***k does Sony Ericsson thinks? Xperia MUST have Symbian, not WinMo!!!

Pearlista, there is pros and cons sa dalawang OS. There are lots of factors why experia utilizes windows mobile and not symbian. Dont under estimate SE for that matter. Maybe your just not that avid fan of windows mobile OS that's why.

lets just wait and see till commerical products of X1 release on the market.

PS. SE does not only advise win mo to be the official OS of Xperia series. So there will be another X series with the OS that you really wanted. Lets hope for the best!! :D

oo nga eh kasi masyadong late ang pag release nila ng mga phone nila. naka boundary na ang iphone. pero sony pa rin ako....go...go...go...

Pati motorola nalulugi na rin.. Tsk tsk tsk.. Too much propriety kasi.. Memory stick (except sa k850i w/c has microsd), fastport, etc.. Pati yung W902 (?) hindi pa nilalabas nalait na kaagad..
