Pinoy Big Brother HOW TRUE IS THIS?


I have worked for abs-cbn for almost 4 years now, since i finished my MA on mass com - broadcast communication in 2003. as part of production on news and current affairs, my work has been mostly rewarding, with good benefits despite the low base pay (i'm including this part so you would understand why i accepted the offer to be transferred to conceptualization of some reality shows particularly the current one, PBB.) because of the sensitivity of my status (i am still working there) i cannot divulge my name, gender and current position in ABS CBN. still, i would like to inform those who are interested (who, most probably, are now wondering why Wendy Valdez is still inside the house and not evicted yet, as most must have assumed.)

When i was asked if i wanted to be part of the conceptualization of the current and upcoming reality shows that ABS CBN would be showing (with higher compensation, obviously), i accepted the offer. how bad can it get, i said, since most of these shows run on public voting and my job would mostly include thinking of the "challenges" that Kuya instructs the housemates to do.

Apparently, conceptualization incorporates more than that. as i have known after the pre-screening of the auditioners, as early as the application process, we have to note who we think will "attract the public most" and who we think will "make the ratings go off the roof." after the initial screening, we had to choose the top 100 of the batch, and even though some did not "theoretically pass" the audition (some weren't able to complete the documents needed), since they have mass appeal, they made it to the first cut, and some were even included in the finalists that entered the BB house.
As you all know, the eviction process is supposed to be based on the votes that the "nominated housemates" - the housemate with the lowest vote will be evicted. i dont know about the previous editions of the PBB (since i only worked under this series this season), but what surprised us the most was when we were informed that the voting only affects the decision minimally - that the voting actually shows who the public wants to see again the following day - but that was it. the truth is, there are so-called "talent auditors." these people are the ones who really put the big decision as to who will be evicted, and who will stay. of course, this never became obvious since i cannot deny the fact that we receive millions of votes during eviction night. that is, until wendy was evicted, and then later returned to join the housemates who are legitimately still in the contest. and the reason is this: the wendy-bruce loveteam is working. have you ever noticed why most of the episodes are focused on the wendy-bruce loveteam? it is because ratings are really high, meaning that people want to see how their relationship develops.

I have never received this much question about my work before. my friends want to know how someone who was already evicted be suddenly returned to the house. actually, that is one of the "twists" that are really planned to be included in the show. but there are actually 3 evicted housemates that were vying to be returned to the house, and wendy was one of them. we were asked who we think should be the one to return to the house, and zeke won. but after discussing that the wendy-bruce love team was too interesting to abruptly end, it was wendy who got the spot. aside from that, we were later informed by one of the production managers who was disappointed with the decision, wendy was "direk dyogi's pet."

I told this story to some of my friends, and they were surprised to know the truth, particularly because some of them were voting for their favorite contestant. i told them only one thing - that they are just wasting their money in voting. as i have personally seen, the path of the contest is already drawn, and the voting only affects the decision minimally, as i have said. this only tells us who the public wants to see again inside the house. the eviction of nel tonight is the classic example. nel got the 2nd lowest number of votes, wendy got the lowest. but the administrators think that perhaps the wendy-bruce loveteam is still up, so we had to give it one last shot. if the ratings go down, or if on tuesday (the next eviction night), wendy still gets the lowest vote, she's out of the contest.

I did not want to reveal all of these, partly because of my loyalty to the company that has given me so much over the years, but i personally think that it is unfair to make one suffer for another's gain. since i have done background checks on the housemates, i know for a fact that nel isn't very well-off, and should have been given his chance fairly. i feel bad to know that i am included in a ploy to confuse and even fool people into believing that they control the outcome of the show. that is why i went ahead and did this post. i wanted people to know how PBB works.

more than a million pesos. After she
got the money she enrolled herself
AGAIN IN FEU. this was around 2003.
and left her lover to rot in Japan.
while she was with the JAP guy. she
was engaged sexually with my cousin
T.H. Morales. also a student in FEU.
reason they broke up. He caught wendy
in bed with another DOM. It is sad to
admit that my cousin is a shabu addict
and so is wendy.they have sessions
with drugs and after they have loud
*** ( i should know my cousin lives
next to me i can hear them). I am not
against wendy or anything...and im
happy
that this might be her next step to
changing her bad ways of using people
for money...i am just sad that she
keeps
on making herself look "nakaka awa" to
other people on tv so she can get more
votes. i just want her to be real and
honest of who she is...she is hiding
from a beautiful face and a sexy
body...
all i want is her honesty.

I pity Bruce he seems to be a nice guy
to fall for someone like wendy...i told
you shes an evil genius. she has her
ways of convincing people to like
her...
through her lies and many faces. i bet
after big brother and shes a star...she
will never look at bruce the same way
like shes trying to portray now. She
has used a lot of people already...i
know miss M guidance councelor.
sometimes shes saddened of wendy's
personality problem and wendy being a
user.

Nasa eviction hall ulit kanina at nasa BEA FAMILY and supporters naman ako. Kasi yung Mickey supporters wala nang ticket so ayun may naka eb ako na Bea supporter kaya sa kanila naman ako. But before the event nagmeet muna kami sa store sa tabi ng Pinoy Dream Academy. Then nakilala ko ang family ni Bea of course her mom and other cousins, and Titas unfortunately wala yung mga kapatid niya kasi nasa Naga raw. The PBB management told them that they really have to vote for Bea kasi siya raw ang nanganganib. And her mom told us na they are ready na rin na salubungin si Bea. At saka sila na rin nagsabi mismo na PINIPILIT NILA TALAGANG IPASOK SI WENDY sa final four. Of course I texted my family right away na sure shot pasok si Wendy at si Bea ang nanganganib. I was able to asked her mom kung bakit naisipan ni Bea na makasali sa PBB ang sabi niya mahilig talaga sumali si Bea sa mga ganyan kahit sa beauty pageant tapos kasama ata ang cousin niya na nag audition sa PBB then sinikreto ni Bea sa mom niya ang pagsali sa PBB. Nabigla na lang raw sila na kasama nga si Bea something like that. Pero they also admitted na natuwa rin kasi si Bea sa prizes kung kaya sumali rin siya sa PBB. Pero it does not mean na yun ang habol niya. Tapos iba raw talaga ang pagpapalaki ng Nanay ni Bea sa kanilang magkakapatid. Si Bea raw talaga ang klaseng taong HINDI KA UURUNGAN! KAPAG MAY GINAWA KANG MALI SA KANYA. Napag-usapan na rin namin yung pagkainggit ni Wendy sa kanya. Inintindi na lang raw nila si Wendy at dahil baka nasasaktan talaga si Wendy sa pagkatao ni Bea dahil si Bea napapasaya niya ang pamilya niya or hindi niya lubos maisip na nagiging successful si Bea sa family nila something like that. Na baka si Wendy hindi niya nagawang isatisfy ang family niya kaya ganun ganun na lang raw ang pagkainggit ni Wendy to Bea.

They even told us na yung supporters ni Wendy ay binatukan ang supporters ni Bea. UGALI NOH! Kita mo yan pati mga sumusuporta kay Wendy o ang idolo nila EH MGA KATULAD RIN NI WENDY MGA HINDI EDUKADO KUNG UMASTA. Tapos alam niyo ba kung kanino nila ginawa yun? Sa mga teenagers pa to think ANG TATANDA NA NG GUMAWA NUN! Grabe noh! ginaya nila immaturity ni Wendy.

They really said na si Bea talaga ay pinalaki ng maayos at MABUTING TAO, na yun nga lang nasasabi ng ibang tao na plastic si Bea nandahil sa kabaitan niya.

Nung nakapasok na kami sa eviction hall ng around 9:00 PM then siempre inarrange kami. So bale may ibang audience na napaupo sa Bea supporters at isa run ay BADING na ang lakas lakas humirit GRABE!

We are really expecting na baka maevict talaga si Bea or si Mickey dahil sila raw ang naglalabanan sa percentage. Kaya of course OVERWHELM talaga kami nung pangalawang tinawag ang name ni Beatriz. Then kinabahan kami again nung dalawang lalake na ang natira expecting na baka si Mickey na ang lumabas. Halos yung supporters niya ay sobrang TAHIMIK at mukhang nalulungkot pero nung tinawag ang name ni MICKEY halos lahat sila napatayo kaya ako TUMAYO rin sa tuwa. since malapit lang ang Bea and Mickey supporters.

Grabe hindi na halos marinig yung tanong ni Toni kay Bodie at si Bodie habang nagsasalita hindi na namin alam kasi sobrang lakas ng WENDY LABAS!

SO ANYONE HERE NA NAKARINIG KUNG ANO ANG SINABI NI BODIE?

Sabi ko na nga ba na magiging malakas sa TV ang WENDY LABAS kasi kahit sa labas ng EVICTION HALL RINIG PA RIN ANG WENDY LABAS. Baka nga si Wendy mismo narinig niya yun inside the house.

Infairness ang gwapo ni Bodie in person and yet matangkad talaga siya. Maganda ang tawa niya na malaki ang mouth I mean maganda naman siya ngumiti at maappeal siya sa masa compare kay bruce. Mas nagagwapuhan ako sa kanya compare kay Bruce.

I think makatotohanan rin naman ang botohan. Ang sinasabi sa amin nung Mom and Aunt ni Bea pwede rin naman raw na hindi nila namamanipulate ang votes pero ang vote cards ay nasa kanila so siempre parang may kinalaman pa rin yun.

I think ang nangyari is mashado nang nakampante ang mga tao kay Bodie since anak siya ni Tirso at siguro naisip ng taong bayan eh bahala na si Tirso dyan to the fact na baka kalaban nila ang financier ni Wendemonya And of course nathreaten ang mga tao kay Bea, Gee Ann at Mickey kung kaya ang todo votes ay nasa kanila na.

After the event I was able to congratulate Mickey's mom and sobrang natense siya at nangiyak sa tuwa. Tapos si Nanay Verda (Bea's mom) naman sobrang cool pa rin like Bea.

And also we have also witnessed yung mga audience na ininterview ni GRETCHEN MALALAD (ex housemate of celeb edition) pero SAYANG hindi namin naririnig. Bastat yung isa run eh something like nagpoprotesta sa voting system na halos hindi makapaniwala na si Wendy ay part of the final four. Something like she is suggesting na dapat ipakita sa masa kung paano ang voting system Bastat galit na galit yung ale.

yeah... the management is manipulating the votes... you see, no one really likes Wendy..i mean, look how the people react... i guess it's a matter of "who's been talked about the most"... we all hate her,,,we talk about her... it makes the rating of the program really really high...

but i a have a feeling they wont let her win...or else they'll have to explain themselves (yes the tv show)...
