I'm still using 3.71 M33-3 myself. I've been a bit scared of newer versions lately mainly due to hearing about incompatibility this, slow loading that, and the apparent PSX icon bug on top.

Do all these issues still exist or have they since been sorted out? Is there anything worth upgrading my custom firmware for or should I just feel happy with what I've got at the moment?

All responses appreciated, cheers. i have upgraded now to the latest CFW 4.01 M33-2 and the loading was very fast.

there issues on your CFW 3.71 M33-3 which in some games having adhoc connectivity problems which is fixed on the updater CFW 3.71 M33-4,

on CFW 3.80 M33-5 (if you are referring to the dracula icon... i get confused before about this but soon i realized that the dracula icon was intentionally put by Team M33 to prevent having your psp to freeze on psx games that has smaller savedata icons also on this firmware, video selection was intoduced by pressing square during play mode and the screen is moving like watching from a dvd chapter search, internet radio was included,

CFW 3.90 M33-3 skype was included, better loading times, lag issue was resolved, better sound quality was done, static sound was removed when your psp is turning off.

sooner new games will requires higher firmwares, need mo talagang mag upgrade but still its your choice.

@ light: if ever you decide to upgrade choose CFW 3.90 m33-3

it is the most stable firmware as of today with the right setting

just to add there is a huge collection of CTF Theme for CFW 3.90 m33-3 :excited:

just got my psp upgraded from 3.90 m33-3 to 4.01 m33-2. no problem so far. its just that there's still limited CTF compatible for 4.01. other than that, no major issue encountered. :D
