"Many of the Slim units being sold today are still TA-088 v2, which works with DC6.
You might never be able to use Pandora on a TA-088 v3.

About non-pandorizable 088 mobos

As you might have already seen, there are some mobos (TA-088 ones, slim models) in where the IPL used for Despertar del Cementerio, Pandora and Time Machine therefore, doesn't work.

IPL can be still run from the Memory Stick, but just those that are signed by Sony, and not the ones that contain a different signature; a problem that will probably block the actual way of running your cfw's, as you couldn't even load on this NANDs the custom IPLs with different signature.

Even though, IPL is not the problem, but probably the mixed kernel of 1.50&&3.40, and it will be the best option to use a new kernel on Despertar del Cementerio future versions.

So, to sum up, new Dc version will not be released till the new Core and interface is finished. Please be patient :)

Here's the case..
I have a newly bought PSP Slim but my "pandoras" won't work.
But it reads all my memory stick content on XMB...as i tried to save a game from UMD it works perfectly...music files eg .mp3 works fine.... video files eg .mp4 also do!

So my memory stick reader is fine i concluded... so what's keeping my Pandora not to work???

Curiosity strikes i open it upped!
hmnnn.. this looks new...
My first impression because the flex/ribbon were NOW tinted blue compared to its gray colored original...maybe a new production line..

But still a mystery why my any Pandora kit won't work.


..........maybe a new .ipl is needed to boot it up... the battery still puts it on the service mode / auto on!

Update....
I had removed TA-088 "new" CPU and put it on TA-085 mobo BUT STILL Pandora won't work!
So the culprit is not the Mobo...It is the NEW CPU!:(

Si DA naman nagluluto pa ng bagong ipl.

Ako kasi nakasilip ng paraan "between" the process.
Without opening/dissembling the unit!
100% ALL working!

BUT STILL NAUNA PA RIN TAYO ...hahaha

Nangyari sakin to the other. 2 Psp ng friend ko, pina downgrade sakin, 1 fat na matagal na nyang gamit at bagong psp slim galing sa canada. inuna ko yong slim na downgrade pero the weird thing is, ayaw gumana ng hellscat, desperate cementerio (pero gumana sa fat) pero yong ultimate pandora, gumagana pero pag oon na yong system lalabas welcome logo ng psp then hang na at mamamatay. so nirestore ko yong nand file. 3x ulit ata ako nag restore ng nand file. so kinalikot ko yong setting. flashing flash0 to restore sa original settings. ayon, after 5hrs, na downgrade ko din. yong fat, ala pang 5minutes.

posible ba mabrick ang psp kung hindi gumana yung pandora sa mga bagong psp units na ito? :noidea:

just want to share my experience. i have psp slim TA-088 but successfully downgraded it using DC3 with phat pandora battery. ngayon ko lang nalaman to upon reading this thread haha..

not all TA-088 motherboard have the new CPU

bro mostly likely brandnew units with OFW 4.01 or 4.05 pero not necessarily mean

na OFW 4.01 or 4.05 ang firmware ng bagong psp mo ay TA-088v3 na agad ang

motherboard pwedeng TA-088v2 or lower.

galing japan yung psp ko kaya nung pagka bigay agad sakin nung nagpasalubong dinala ko agad sa greenhills kinabukasan para itry ipamodify, that was 3weeks ago pero di nga kaya sabi ng mga tech guys ng greenhills. di ko tuloy mapakinabangan anyway salamat silver surfer!
