Broken Hearts

Broken hearts are hard to mend,
when a man thinks he can break it over and over again.
Why should I give someone my whole heart,
when all he does is keep ripping it apart.
He says he loves me but he's proving that to be a lie,
when all he does is break my heart and leaves it to die.
He wants me to wait until he realizes he's making a mistake,
but he doesn't realize this it too much pain for me to take.
I wish he could see how much I love him so,
I made the biggest mistake of letting the man I loved go.
Loving him is like breathing clean air,
now my air is polluted because he isn't there.
Tell me why should I wait and allow my heart to keep getting broke,
because I love him, so I'll breathe in his smoke.
If he loves me he wouldn't make me his second choice,
I would be his first if his heart had a voice.
He's letting his mind confuse his heart,
but what he doesn't know is he's ripping it apart.
