tsk tsk tsk
I've never been in a fraternity so I have no rights to criticize or praise them for i have no floor to stand by my ideas. but to those who has or had been a member of such prestigious Fraternity or making up their own, please tell me
is it Good or BAd?
what benefits does it gave me?
and all question regarding this matter, please kasi nakaka alarma na ang mga patayan at rambolan ng mga frat, kawawa naman yung mga frat org na simple lang or has a good intentions for the society, if your Frat org is in question defend them redeem your Org!!!

I am a member of the Sigma Beta Sorority UP Los Baños chapter, sisters to the members of Beta Sigma Fraternity. True enough and sad to say, oo, gulo kaliwa't kanan.

Being a member of a fraternity/sorority/confraternity has its ups and downs. In any organization as well. It just so happen that there are a lot of irresponsible fratmen who just want to be popular by being notorious instead of being a contributor to the society. I pity those who are just after notoriety. tsk tsk tsk

I'm not a member of any fraternity. Para maiwas gulo. Based from my interview of those who are member of such group. Pero not at all time andyan sila. At some point OK din siya kc you are able to socialize pero ang pagsasamahan pede mauwi sa PAKIKISAMA.

hehe.. sigma beta pala si mama sultry. APO naman si Billabong :D

@felinor, APO was established in 1925, sa Lafayette College sa US. yun ibig nya sabihin...

At kung buo na loob mo, see it through. all I'm saying is be mature enough in deciding. In tagalog, desisyon mo yun e, panindigan mo.

Pangkaraniwan, this is the first (or second) most important decision you will be making in your life(first is which college to go to) Wag lang basta basta dahil naimbitahan ka, at "cool" sila.

yun lang.

Oo nga pala, I am a fellow of Upsilon Sigma Phi.

on some parts sa frat i think ok nman, masaya talaga yung mga social activities nila, inuman ganun. part din kasi ng college life so sinasabi na nakakasira talaga, dapat mo lang gawin is learn how to say no and set your priorities. di nman masamang tumanggi paminsan eh...

have you heard of Batangas Varsitarians??

I know that they are also consisted of professional Batanguenos pero un ibang members or officers eh nagkakaroon ng initiation for minors..

I don't know if alam eto ng higher officials nila pero all I know is GOOD naman sila except for the reason that they are accepting minors in the Fraternity which is dapat lamang sa mga "nasa tamang pag-iisip na"...

para sa akin it's basically good. though di ako member ng kahit anong fraternity.

BUT....

for me magiging good lang yun KUNG psositively functional ang group at nagfa-fall sa true meaning ng isang fraternity. iba kasi ang mga gang and they don't have anything to do with REAL fraternities.

ang astig yung frats na productive at nakakatulong sa society in different ways. di yung puro riot, angasan and the likes.

RAMOS, Tarlac—Many did not know who Marc Andre Marcos was until news broke out on Wednesday that he was the latest hazing victim.

Tarlaqueños were not only grieving with the Marcos family but were also angered by what they called a “wasted life” caused by a blatant disregard of the law by people who were supposed to uphold it.

The community of lawyers and law students in Tarlac is mourning the death of Marcos, a law freshman at San Beda College (SBC) who died from hazing injuries. His body lies at the family home in Barangay Poblacion here and will be buried on Sunday.

Marcos, 21, came from a family of lawyers. His grandfather, Matilliano, is a retired regional trial court judge while his aunt, lawyer Marimier Marcos-Rivera, teaches at the Tarlac State University (TSU) College of Law.

Lawyer Arnaldo Dizon, president of the Tarlac chapter of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (Tarlac-IBP), said young lives were being wasted because of fraternity hazing.

“What is worst is that Marcos was one who dreamed of becoming a lawyer and he suffered such a fate even as we have an antihazing law in the country,” Dizon said.

On Friday, law students of TSU will hold a motorcade to press for justice for Marcos and to condemn hazing. The motorcade will start on the school campus in Tarlac City and end at Ramos, about 30 kilometers away.

“We cannot do anything anymore about Andre, we cannot bring him back but we will pursue the case. We will do this to prevent anything like this from happening again and prevent future aspirants from being victimized by fraternity hazing,” Rivera said.
