Since my JAPANESE Thread has become quite a chat for the issue on mods / super mods and ranks how bout I just make a thread on that issue..

my answer:


Super Moderator.. Well i've been moderating quite a few forums.. 2-3 and a super moderator in another forum.. As ive seen this forum moderators are doing a great job but it just happened that there are still many thing to fix.. 1 is the spamming..

Being a moderator will not make any difference.. But being a super mod will make a great diff..

then someone asked me another question:


napansin ko lang , you always mention "Super Moderator".. nasa signature mo rin na ang goal mo ay maging isang "Super Moderator".. tanong ko lang ano ang nagagawa ng isang "Super" moderator na hindi magagawa ng isang mod lang? meron bang something special na magagwa ng "Super" mod? i guess it's just a title..siguro hindi na kailangan ng title na yan,, cause every mod is a "Super" mod,, as long as alam nya kung ano ang ginagawa nya at he knows how to fix things.. if you wish to have the "Super Moderator" title,, you can do so,, just change your title to super mod.. na mention mo rin na marami pang dapat i-fix sa forum,, 1 is spamming.. ano pa ung iba? please point them for me.. i would like to see them..


and my answer is:


Actually a super mod can do a lot more that a MOD.. Here's a little list for you..

1.) He can add new MODS to a section / sub section..
2.) A super mod can PHYSICALLY delete a thread and post while a MOD can only soft delete a thread or post..
3.) He can ban mods if they are not doing their jobs properly..
4.) He can assign new stuffs which the admin might be forgetting..
5.) And he can also sing in the bathroom while the moderators are watching.. ok just kidding..

hehehe.. its only one of his DUTIES to make sure that mods are really doing his part..

Admins can't really see all of these..

Why not make the 3 most active mods SUPER MODS?
Why not make the 3 best forum helper TRIAL MODS?

and my answer is:

So when do we plan to fix things? When there are alot of people posting and requesting stuffs? When the bandwith is so high that we need to shut down the forum for atleast 1-2 days for purposes of cleaning up?

I'm not saying that there is a problem in the forum but as your question is leaning to something which is "DADAMI PA TAYO" then my suggestion is:

Better start to control the forums while it is still small and manageable.. It is better to set the rules to the kids while they are still in a young state to make them understand its values..

So what on earth am I talking about?

If the forum plans on growing big and maintaining a sense of control over the user in terms of forum usage then this is the best time to start..

Maybe the MODS can be the one to vote the 1 Super mods per SECTION and 1-2 MODS per sub sections..

Make the active user part of the system.. Don't let them be the leechers..

The forum will get more if they can do more..

one more thing,, kung mod ka sa ibang forums,, iwanan mo lang un dun.. this is another forum,, just show us what you got,, walang nagbabawal sau.. then we'll see what will happen.. and again,, let our administrator do the rest..

i believe dito sa VBulletin may Administrator na tayo above all.. dont know kung sino... Ako rin ay admin ng ilang forums.. vBulletin din ang hawak ko... i can say parehas lang din ang Super mods work sa mods work although my ilang priviledges assigned to each rank.. pero kung moderation lang ng mga threads, Mod ranks best suits the job.. although good din ang Super mod.. Admin ang magdedecide parin ng assignment for that position.... IMHO lang po..

Well I guess pde din ibigay ng admins the rights and powers sa existing mods so they can act like higher mods but still with the title of moderators..


Um, sa title, puedeng member lang ang ilagay kasi customizable ang usergroup ng each member.. meaning kahit Registered user lang sya pero granted ng priveledge as Secondary usergroup nya dito sa Moderator / super moderator / Admin, still may powers pa rin sya entitled sa secondary usergroup nya...

yung title natin puedeng i-edit.. kagaya sa atin, pag bago Trainee, Amateur.. ganun...
