Pardon me, I have to leave!
to build the bridge of broken dreams—
brittle it may seem I have to take,
the narrow bridge amidst the lake.
Above the raging streams I stay,
lest long forgotten dreams delay;
for every step I solemnly pray,
my walk to never go astray.

And halfway through my every race,
familiar faces 'long the rails.
They smile at me as they lead the way,
these few real people
when the world betrays—

On the other end I saw him wait,
the lengthy path is soon to wane.

The clock strikes right and then I knew,
for me to say these words: “I do”.

While reading the half of the poem I was picturing a woman walking in the aisle, and there's a man waiting her in the altar...hehehe
