antagal ko ding nawala dito sa Symbianize, my whole outlook regarding mobile phones and operating systems is changed after kong masubukan ang Tmobile G1 or yung HTC Dream:
first impression.. woah.. the interface is great considering nanggaling ako from not-so-soothing-user-interfaces (winmo and symbian), may pagka-retro yung icons and flamboyant yung user interface.. good thing na yung nakuha kong g1 is already rooted and may nakainstall nang custom rom kasi from what I've read sa 'net, napaka-arduous ng rooting process.. I already managed to change yung theme nito and iupgrade yung cyanogen build..
overall, this phone is great save for the oversensitivity ng touch screen (which I found very annoying since sanay ako sa resistive), dependence sa marketplace (though there are some application sources sa 'net, pero very limited), dependence sa google (duh, this is google's os) and the lack of some very basic applications (file manager, task manager, etc.. meron sa marketplace pero bakit hindi na lang ibinundle sa phone?)for a first time user, like me, medyo complicated lalo na kapag nasanay ka sa usual cluttered look ng WinMo or the starkness ng Symbian, its like a cross in between.. kailangan ding mag-login sa google account mo to use most of this phone's feature.. unfortunately reverse tethering does not work unlike sa WM na once you plug your ppc to your pc, automatic na nashashare na yung broadband connection, kaya you have to rely on wifi hotspots or sa mga service providers..
any Android user here? pwede tayong mag-share ng applications, tips, etc...
