How to make your MP3 Audiobooks SEE it as an audiobook in your iTunes and not as music and be in the proper FOLDER; AUDIOBOOKS and not in your MUSIC Library. So when you sync your iPod/iPhone/iPad your audiobooks will go to the proper place which is in your Audiobook Library and not in your Music Library.

Follow this steps: (NO NEED TO CONVERT MP3's TO M4B).

-If the MP3 is only one file for all the whole book.

1. Add your MP3 audiobook to iTunes (To add: On iTunes click Files on top, then choose Add File/Folder to Library)
2. In the Music Library, Highlight that MP3 file
3. Then click Get Info
4. Go to Options
5. Check Remember Playback Position (this will let it remember where you stop in your listening)
6. Change Media Kind to Audiobook instead of Music
7. Click Ok and you'll see iTunes convert and transfer your MP3 audiobooks to your Audiobook/Book Library in your iTunes.

-If the MP3 is coming from a CD and is separate in CHAPTERS or in MULTIPLE MP3 files.

1. Add your MP3 audiobook to iTunes (To add: On iTunes click Files on top, then choose Add File/Folder to Library)
2. In the Music Library, Highlight ALL that MP3 file
3. Then click Get Info
4. You will be prompted if you want to edit multiple items, say yes.
5. Go to Options
6. Check the Remember Playback Position and choose yes (this will let it remember where you stop in your listening)
7. Change the Media Kind from Music to Audiobook
8. Click Ok and you'll see iTunes convert and transfer your MP3 audiobooks to your Audiobook/Book Library in your iTunes.
