Mobile Operating System Wars 2011! Which of them do you like the most?
We are in 2011 and there are lots of things happend such as Nokia are about to drop Meego and will stop supporting Symbian in 2014. Right now which OS do you think will hit the top by the end of 2011 or which OS do you prefer now?
For me though I am an Android user, I still think iOS will be on top of the game by the end of 2011 though Android is now challenging them in the OS wars!

TS salamat sa new thread na to.. actually useful ang thread mong ito para makapagbahagian tayo ng mga ideas at experiences about sa ating mga kanya kanyang ginagamit na handsets with different OS versions..
pero sa palagaya ko,, hindi bibitiwan ng Nokia ang MeeGo, nangako silang maglalabas padin sila ng High-end NOkia Smartphone powered by this OS... natagalan lang siguro sila sa final release ng OS na ito para ipantapat sana sa Android at iOS kaya ginawa na nilang alternative ang paggamit ng Windows Phone 7 for the mean time dahil atleast medyo firmly established na din to although bago palang..
Re: Mobile Operating System Wars 2011! Which of them do you like the most?
for me i like meego... hehehe kahit walang meego sa market... sa tingin ko lamang ng 3ng paligo ang meego over android... lamang lang naman ang android OS sa dami ng application ehhh pero sa pagandahan ng OS meego is the best hehehe maemo pa nga lang maganda na lalo pa kaya ung much upgraded meego

My VOTE still goes to MeeGo OS..
Yeh! Out dated na kasi yung last thread hehe.. Well alam ko na announce na ni Elop na e titigil na nga nila ang Meego and Same as Symbian pero by the end pa ng 2014.

Hmm... Parang Meego ang gumaya sa Android. The more na upgrade ang Meego mas naging mukang Android ang Meego.

di din kasi ang meego is maemo+moblin.... di naman natin pwedeng sabihing ginaya ng meego ang android dahil di panaman to nag-eexist sa market... and di rin naman siguro reason na dahil nauna ang android sa meego...kaya sasabihin na nating ginaya ng meego si android.... siguro my mga similarities dahil parehas silang linux base and parehas silang mobile OS pero hanggang dun na lang un...for me meego pa din ako hahaha

Re: Mobile Operating System Wars 2011! Which of them do you like the most?
I have an N900 that has Maemo 5 Operating System. Yun sana ang pipiliin ko pero wala sa choices, so I just selected MeeGo.
I read some of the posts. Actually hindi ginaya ni MeeGo si Android because MeeGo is based from Maemo (and Moblin) like what michaelalan has mentioned. Matagal na ang Maemo kasi may mga nauna pang Nokia Tablets sa N900...Maemo version 5 na nga yung nasa N900.
Although Android (the company) has started in 2003, it only started becoming "Google Android" when Google bought Android in 2005. However, they first released the Google Android OS (the "Android" that we see today in mobile devices) in November 5, 2007, at Beta Version pa ito. Both Maemo and Android are Operating Systems based in Linux (Linux = UNIX-like). Apple's iOS is also based in UNIX although they did not keep the source code open, i.e. they kept it proprietary. Bada is also based in Linux (FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD), although Samsung does not call Bada as an operating system in itself, but more of a platform.
Windows 7 for mobile is bad. Although Microsoft is a big name, it has yet to prove its worth for mobile computing, particularly for smart phones and the like. There had been issues agad within the first few weeks of Windows 7 for mobile when it was released, just do some search in Google and you'll find it.
Re: Mobile Operating System Wars 2011! Which of them do you like the most?
@ junne:
at nagustuhan mo ang Samsung Wave I vote for Bada OS, i love my Samsung Wave, ganda ng screen, sarap manood ng 720p HD videos, ganda ng sounds, camera at video recording.
pwede mo iopen yung text messages at iview yung missed calls without unlocking the screen
