More support for s60v3, more softwares for s60v3, more firmware updates, more patches, more everything. How about s60v1-2? It seems that Nokia has abandoned the older symbian versions in favor of it's new prodigy; the higher specced, the more secure, the more important for Nokia's future: the Symbian OS 9+ (S60v3). Yes, the other companies has done the same thing (Sony Ericsson and P990i for example), yet would it be all too hard to provide the v1/v2 of some v3 softwares, some software updates for at least 3 years since the launching of a product or at least a shallow show of support for products who contributed to Nokia's rise in smartphone dominance? It is really frustrating to see a software or theme that you really like to be incompatible to your cp (landscape mode, anyone?). Even more frustrating to see a tad too much show for new products while the old ones are stocked at a corner at a clearance price. Have you, s60v1-v2 users noticed that in predominantly symbian and nokia sites (MOSH and AAS for example) Symbian OS 8 and below is ceasing to appear? New news for v1-v2 are news 2 years ago? New updates are almost updates done by crackers and are shown as warez? Even so, Nokia itself has refused to listen to the impecunious voices of some users who see how badly Nokia supports products that are "too old" . So, what's the catch, simple: AVAIL OF THE BONUSES NOKIA IS GIVING AWAY BY BUYING A NEW (or secondhand) OS 9 PHONE. As simple as that. And all this time I thought Nokia is different.
