Bulaga! After Senate majority leader Vicente "Tito" Sotto III, another member of the Sotto clan may jump over from the show business to the political arena.

On Sunday, Senate majority leader Vicente “Tito” Sotto III said his brother Marvic “Vic” Sotto had been “discussing possibilities” of joining politics in 2013.

“Pinag-uusapan pa, kwentu-kwentuhan lang... discussing possibilities," Sen. Sotto said in an interview on dzBB radio.

He said Vic has yet to make a final decision on whether to run at all, and what post to pursue.

When asked if Vic is gunning for a national or local position, Sen. Sotto said, “pinag-uusapan din (that is also a subject of discussion).”

Although the Sotto brothers are prominent in the entertainment industry, they are grandnephews of former Sen. Filemon Sotto, and grandsons of Sen. Vicente Sotto.

Incumbent Sen. Tito Sotto had been in public service since 1988 when he won the vice mayoralty race in Quezon City, and first served as senator in 1992.

On the other hand, Vic has been very visible on television commercials, aside from his regular television shows that include the popular noontime show “Eat Bulaga!”

Vic is also known for the "Enteng Kabisote" movie franchise, which had been a killer at the box office. — LBG, GMA News

Teri Onor is elected as 1st District Board Member, he all planned to sponsor scholarships to persons who comes from indigent families there but when he got elected, yes he sponsored scholarships but only to those who are "qualified" to be indigent persons and right now he is currently facing Estafa cases to some schools where he sponsored scholarships.




Every voter should look on the candidates' personal background before voting, artista man yan o hindi. Hindi sapat ang pagiging artista para i-elect ang mga ito sa public office. Tingnan po natin kung may aral o may tinapos po ba ang mga ito. Huwag po tayong basta basta magpasailalim sa mga mabulaklak nilang pananalita.

ok na yan atleast ang mga artista may pera,bahay,sasakyan,at mga ari arian na. Kung manalo man sila di na sila magpapagawa ng bahay na galing sa pera ng taong bayan, di na sila bibili ng sasakyan etc. Pero kapag binoto natin ang isang mahirap at walang pera kapag nanalo sigurado ako bibili yan ng mga ari arian na galing sa pera ng taong bayan. Madami akung kilala na pulitiko na biglang yaman.

Sorry but i disagree na maraming matatalinong Botante sa Pinas, Nagtataka lang ako bakit naging No.2 pa si Erap at No.3 si Villar at Si PNoy pa nanalo? kung matatalino nga silang bumoto dapat Mas pinili nila ang dapat na karapat dapat hindi dahil sa Galing sila sa makapangyarihang Pamilya, Sikat na Artista o maraming Pabahay.

I beg to disagree na maraming matatalinong voters ngaun. Like nardo had stated, tignan mo nalang ang nakaraang eleksyon. Bakit kung sinu pa tong pinatalsik ng bayan using People Power eh siya pa ang pangalawa sa official vote tally. Naungusan pa niya sila Gordon na kilala bilang magaling sa pagpapatakbo ng siyudad, si Gibo na matalino, graduate ng harvard, no traces of corruption at si Villar na hangad lang na makatulong sa bayan.

Kung talagang matalinong voter nga, dapat nag research muna siya sa educational and work background, work ethics, attitudes, family, hobby and recreation, passed bills(kung meron man) and other external and internal factor affecting that candidate, same apply to other government position also.

Gaya nga ng sabi ko, research about that candidate thoroughly, wag ka papa-apekto sa mga chismis, kapag naka formulate ka na ng iboboto mo, spread it para rin malaman nila and provide factual evidences.

We will build a country of entertainers not intellectual and smart people. This country will not go somewhere if ganito ang batayan ng mga bumubuto - political, sweet words, popularity at bayaran.

Kahit naman artista sila, dapat i-consider ng mga tao kung competitive nga sila in their field of work. Do a little work of research basing on facts not chis-mis and crappy survey. Mahirap talaga kapag madali kang maimpluwensyahan at hindi ka pa nakapag-aral. So, the best thing is to educate the people to weigh both sides and consider doing research.
