To help you decide whether the Cherry Mobile Flare is right for you, check out the five points I listed below:
Still OEM. In case you didn't know, Cherry Mobile looks for OEM [original equipment manufacturer] phones they think would fit in our market then rebrands them as its own. The Flare, for example, is a rebranded Karbonn A9+ from India, which has many positive online reviews, um, tucked under its belt.
Great display. The handset has a 4-inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 (233 ppi), giving you a decent display output. Images and text appear sharp, and colors are quite vivid. Other 4-inch smartphones that have the same display resolution include the Google Nexus S, the HTC Desire V, the Samsung Galaxy S, the LG Optimus Black, and even the new HTC Windows Phone 8S.
Dual-core processor’s not outdated. Powering the Cherry Mobile Flare is a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8225 processor. It’s a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and released just this year, so it’s not outdated yet. The mobile's performance is OK. Don’t expect buttery-smooth everything, but you won’t mind the occasional stutters along the way.
Dual-SIM but not dual-3G. Yes, the Flare supports dual-SIM and dual-standby, meaning both SIMs are active all the time. However, if you want to use it as a 3G device or hotspot, take note that only the first slot can do 3G and you’re stuck with 2G with your second SIM.
Bring that charger. If there’s one glaring thing you have to consider when getting this phone, it’s the battery life. With a big screen, a dual-SIM capability, and a dual-core processor, you need a big battery to keep things running. Such is not the case with the Flare. With WiFi always on (not always connected), a few hours of 3G, less than an hour’s worth of gaming, and minimal calls and text, the Cherry Mobile Flare lasts for just over 10 hours. That’s a typical whole day’s work along with the commute time. If you want to keep the smartphone working all the time, better charge it at home and at the office every day.
BUT NOTE That it is normal for android phones and "rooting" this unit will boost its battery life.

UPGRADING VIA RECOVERY MODE:
Instructions:
1. Save the update file to the root of the SD card. Turn off the phone. Make sure phone is charged atleast 15%.
2. Press and hold Power+volume Up for a few seconds. It will display first a green screen.
3. Release the button after the screen shows a red display to show the Android sytem revocery.
4. Select apply update from external storage' and select the update file. Use volume keys to select and power key to confirm.
5. The phone will update. After update is finish, select reboot system now.
Note: SD Card update will not erase multimedia files like photos. It will just erase saved application. It is also advisable to do Factory data reset after doing SD card update.

Before trying this tutorial please charge your device to at least 70% potential and enable USB debugging option. to enable USB debugging, go to Settings>>Development>>USB debugging and do necessary changes there. Once done, you can use below method for successful root.
1. Download Bin4ry Tool *Only fully-registered users can see this link.* and suitable drivers for Windows.

2. Take USB and connect your FLARE to your computer.
NOTE: MAKE SURE NA NAKACHECK ANG "USB DEBUGGING" SA PHONE NYO BAGO NYO IKONEK SA PC. MAKIKITA PO YUN SA SETTINGS / DEVELOPER OPTIONS / USB DEBUGGING.
THEN WAIT NYO PO SA PC NA MAINSTALL YUNG DRIVERS NG PHONE NYO AT NG MADETECT SYA.

3. Pag connected na, Unzip the Bin4ry Tool kit.
4. Open extracted file and run RunMe.Bat file (you will find this file in extracted Bin4ry folder).
5. Just enter 1 for device type in command prompt window which will appear after opening RunMe.Bat file.
6. Now follow on screen guide. It will root your device successfully.
7. Disconnect and reboot your device.
Then after reboot, pag may "SUPER SU" ka na na app sa cp mo that means successful ka, if not, try again or use other computer. its just trial and error. Tried and tested by me.

Then just install and follow the instructions.
** Note don’t connect your phone just yet. Wait until Pdanet asks you so. If asked for the brand of your phone, just choose “other”
** When you connect your phone, make sure that “USB Debugging” is enabled.
(Settings-Developer options-USB Debugging.)
After connecting your phone, install the drivers. This happens when you connect your phone. A pop up will appear. Just choose install automatically. Wait for the installation to complete.

BATTERY
A little issue is the battery lasts only a day with normal use but NORMAL po yan pagdating sa smartphones especially sa Android.
FLARE SAMPLE CAMERA SHOTS:
Panoramic shot. Amazingly, the Cherry Mobile Flare has a panorama feature on its camera. Pretty cool for a less than 4-thousand-peso phone. Here is the sample picture.
Next, let us see the ability of the camera when it comes to shooting low-lighted and well-lighted subject.
As you can see, the shot without flash look less appealing while the shot with flash reveals the true color of the subject.
Finally, here is a sample picture when it comes to scenery view. Like the Cherry Mobile Titan, the white haze is quite evident and it is minimally blocking the true color of the picture.
There you go guys, that will sum up the sample camera shots from the Cherry Mobile Flare.
My verdict: Very good for a camera phone. For me, it is quite a bonus for the users to have a great camera phone with so much amazing features. Not bad Cherry Mobile!
