Poem Don't Need Saving

I jumped without a parachute
And now I'm falling fast,
I close my eyes and breathe in
I'm sure the pain won't last.

I feel the wind attack my body
My skin shreds, my soul bare.
I smile against the pain and torture,
I'm broken beyond repair.

You can take away your safety net,
Forget my ache and bruise,
You can walk away and take my heart,
For without you there's no use.

I fall to the ground and hit it hard,
I lay there barely alive.
My body may break, my soul depart,
But my love would still survive.
