gud evening po sa lahat.meron na po bang custom rom ang cherry mobile omega hd 2?

i've been reading this thread since yesterday,

wew!

puro positive feedback, no regrets in buying my own OHD2.

My mom bought me this phone last monday cause they won't let me buy my own s4 due just because they feel like I still don't deserve to have one lol so i searched for a cheaper yet comparable unit then I found this. I didn't expect much but as of now it impresses me. Even my sisters who'are using s4andip4s are impressed. I've experienced no lags deadpixels cams working pretty well. This is the first time I'm going to use a cm phone and still a bit worried about its durability to be honest but I hope it can last up to 6 months or so well it depends on how we use it right?

Some observations:
Charging time approximately 3-4 hours battery life really depends on how you use it and so far does not heat up but mine lasts for 18 hours average.not a fanof the headphones but sound quality is good on loud speaker and on my own headphone. I dont know much about technical stuff like processors etc I but im just really happy it satisfies my needs ;D

I Just have a big problem..
I cannot activate my mobile data /3g connection. :( I've been doing stuff posted on the net still i cannot find the H+ on my signal bar if mobile connection is on .. been using our! wifi all along.globe is sending configuration messages yet if i install them the 1234 password doesn't work. Im a globe postpaid subscriber btw. I've tried my moms ates Sims and the connection does work and is really fast. I hope someone could help me.

Its nice that we can share tips and everything in here.. keeping my fingers crossed that this phone would really last.

**other Sims from 3g enabled phones even my dad's he's a cm flare user on flare it shows just H on my OHD2 H+

How to calibrate you Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0 Battery

Introduction:

Lithium Ion batteries have introduced the use of BSI (Battery Status Indicator) port. This port gives feedback to your phone regarding its current state such as (battery level, charging condition, discharging condition, battery temperature etc.)

Logic behind why you are to do this:

Our have typical batteries. You charge it and use it's charge to power up your phone. Lithium batteries being more sensitive to temperature, current and the like needs to have somewhat of intelligence so it can regulate itself of overcharging (that makes it bloat) or superfast charging (that makes it heat up). The 8205a Battery protection IC is the intelligence behind this smart charging. The way this smart charging works is it sends a signal to the phone and it does it through the BSI port.

Disabling the BSI port tricks the phone of the true battery level of the battery. With the battery level scrambled, the phone relies on the voltage the battery gives out. This being said, with the BSI port disabled, there will be no more warning that your phone is low in battery. It just dies out on you.

With the phone just died on you, you are rest assured that you have just depleted the battery of any juice. A requirement for any calibration method you may know of or want to follow.

"Where is the BSI port:

For Omega HD battery, we are lucky to have just 3 ports (or contact terminals) in our battery and it is very easy to know that 1 is the (+,Positive) the other end is (-,negative) and the 3rd one (conveniently located in the middle so it's really fool proof) is the BSI terminal.

In short you have 3 ports. The middle one is the BSI port.

Disclaimer:

This is a usual disclaimer that whatever happens to your phone is your own responsibility. The author of this method has taken measures to come to an accurate step for this to work, but as you know several factors may affect the affectivity of this solution. Just use this at your own RISK.

So far though, 5 users of the OHD group have tested the solution and gave their testimonials that there was a noticeable improvement to their battery life.

Without much further ado, the steps:

For rooted phones:

Download and install the calibration app from PlayStore. battery calibration by nema

1. Use your phone as normal until it reaches 1% and eventually shuts down properly.

2. Take out your battery and look for the middle battery contact which is the BSI terminal.

3. Cut a small piece of insulating material, may it be cellophane tape, electrical tape, rubber, plastic etc. That small piece should be enough to exclusively cover that BSI terminal (that middle contact).

4. Insert back the battery into place and turn it on.

5. If your phone turns on and successfully booted up that means you are a good candidate for calibration later. If your phone just blinks or did not even complete the boot up sequence, abort the procedure and remove the tape/insulator. Your phone is already calibrated.

7. For the phones that were still able to boot with the BSI terminal blocked, you will notice that your battery level indicator would have jumped up to maybe as high as 40 to 85%. This is ok, just use it as per normal. You will also notice that though seems highly charged, the charge level depletes faster than normal. This is expected.
Use the phone until the battery runs out. You will notice that your phone will just die out without proper shutdown. Again, this is what we want to achieve.

8. Remove the battery from the phone and REMOVE THE TAPE/INSULATOR FROM THE BATTERY.

9. Charge the phone while turned off for a minimum of 2 hours then switch the phone on.
Launch the calibration app you installed earlier and wait for the battery charge to reach 100%. Wait means don't play games nor do anything with the phone. You just touch it for the purpose of checking the percentage.

10. Click on calibrate, close the app. Unplug the phone from its charger.

11. Use the phone as per normal until it shuts down by itself.
Charge the phone again by any method you want (switched off or on). Once fully charged, unplug it from the charging source.

12. Your phone should have been fully calibrated by now. Use it as you please.

For non-rooted phones:

Note: May not be as effective as compared with the procedure for rooted phones.

If your phone turns on and successfully booted up that means you are a good candidate for calibration later. If your phone just blinks or did not even complete the boot up sequence, abort the procedure and remove the tape/insulator. Your phone is already calibrated.

7. Remove the battery from the phone and REMOVE THE TAPE/INSULATOR FROM THE BATTERY.

8. Charge the phone while turned off for a minimum of 2 hours then switch the phone on.
Wait for the battery charge to reach 100%. Wait means don't play games nor do anything with the phone. You just touch it for the purpose of checking the percentage.

9. Unplug the phone from its charger.

10. Use the phone as per normal until it shuts down by itself.

11.Charge the phone again by any method you want (switched off or on).

12. Once fully charged, unplug it from the charging source.

13. Repeat from step 3 to 13. If the 2nd condition in step 5 is met wherein your phone just won't boot with the tape attached, then you are already calibrated, therefore stop. ALSO, if you have done steps and repeated it already 3 times in a row, STOP.

You have just reached the threshold of manual battery calibration (or brute force battery calibration as I call it).

Just be contented with your device or if once your phone is already rooted, you may want to try the Rooted Method version of this procedure.

Question: How long does it take for your OHD to reach 100% charge?

Answer: 3 to 4 hours. weak charger talaga natin. 2100mah to battery to charge 800mah charger then loss of 20% to consider transmission loss and power consumption during phone idle {2100 / (800*(0.)} = 3.28 hours to fully charge the batterry. Pag ginagamit mo pa while charging, ibang usapan na yan, mas matagal pa.
