Feedback ba o hum/noise ang sinasabi mo?

b.) a specific frequency is feedbacking at resonant kung sang room ka man naroroon.....try mong baguhin ung equalizer mo sa amp like babaan mo yung high frequency hanggang sa mawala....or baguhin mo pwesto ng amp mo....

:D .....that's it......

But Seriously you can try this:
a.) Use a quality guitar cord from your guitar to your amp, or kung may effects ka use quality patch cables na rin.
b.) Shielding your guitar electronics chamber....paki research na lang sa internet....or
c.) Ilayo mo ang guitar chord mo sa mga electrical outlet, electrical cable, extensions (kung di maiiwasan mag cross, i 90 degress mo).....mga flourescent lights.....sa mga electrical motors like yung motor ng deep well nyo....

some of that will reduce hum but not totally 100 %........

Nagagamit pa ba Lessons Directory natin dito?

ang galing!! :) buti hindi nag iba or pumanget yung tunog Master??

MAy nag tatanong ano magandang guitar for 6k. I would suggest Epiphone, sa Sulit may nag bebenta n ng 6k :) Mall Price is 8-9k..

Guys, 50% to ALL products ang RJ Music Store ah.. January 25 ata if I am not mistaken

Ok I'll be posting these tutorials, processes and my experiences with pictures pagkatapos kong ma refinish ang aking Ibanez RG7321 7 strings from black to a Natural wood look (Walnut Stain).....para sa mga interesado.....I am not saying that I nailed the processes right away....may mga disaster ding ngyari, little mistakes but at least nakita nyo naman results sa Sig ko.....so without further ado....here it goes.......

Bakit nga ba naisipan kong i refinish? From this: (1st picture attached).

a.) Cosmetically, naboboring nako sa kulay nya, parang walang distinctive qualities, parang walang identity ung guitar ko, walang soul.........

b.) Mas nakakahinga yung wood, mag aaged na yung wood naturally the longer you play the better sounding it gets, nakakavibrate na yung wood, mas longer sustain ng mga notes, mas lumalabas ung mga overtones/every note has definitions, hindi na dadamped ng plastic na nature ng pintura ung sound….

c.) Weight concerns, you will see what i mean at the end of these tutorials. You will realize kung gano kakapal/kabigat ang ginamit na pintura (clear at yung color) at filler....

To this (2nd picture attached)

anung Effects nyo sir? Or did you try to search from google?

Sanding Process:

First of all, kelangang planuhin muna natin ang pagrerefinish. Anu bang gusto mong kalabasan? Gusto mo lang bang palitan yung kulay from black to red or swirl? Or gusto mo talaga hubad na kahoy (natural wood look)?

It turns out basswood ang kahoy. I research the internet for pics of basswood kung anung itsura nya pag bare/hubad. It turns out wala daw masyadong grains ang basswood….boring looking….but still desidido na talaga ako….bahala na!!!!! Now my guitar’s finish is consists of 3 layers: Yung clear, ung base paint which in this case is black then ung filler/parang masilya siya na transluscent then yung kahoy na. Madaling lihahin ung clear at black, about 2 to 3 hours continuous na liha sa front and back but the sides did take me another 2 hours more.

From the bridge, saddles, 5-way switch, wirings, strap buttons, pickups, neck screws (tatanggalin nyo yung neck syempre), jack, pickguard (if there’s any), backplate, string ferrules (in my case kasi fixed bridge), etc.

I suggest, I segregate nyo yung mga parts by functions like yung bridge, saddles and screws pagsamahin nyo sa isang plastic ng yelo for example. Tapos yung Jack and yung screws nya saka ung Strap buttons saka yung screws nya sa isang ring plastic ng yelo. Something similar to that idea para hindi kayo mahirapan sa pagbabalik pag assembly time na. Another important thing is yung pickups and yung wiring, mas maigi I drawing nyo sa isang papel ung mga switch, pickups, jacks, potentiometers (yung volume and tone) and their original connections, anung kulay ng mga wirings, san nakakabit, anung orientation ng pickups, etc.
Kung wala kayong alam sa electronics, better to ask someone about it before nyo idismantle. Para maidrawing nya para sa inyo ung electronic diagram and use that as a reference when it comes to assembly time na.

Preparations (what you need from my experience):
a.) 2 sheets each of 60, 80 and 100 grit na Liha.
b.) Sanding Block para mas mapadali or mas mainam kung may Palm Sander kayo.
408714301.jpg

c.) Some old cloth or towel to cover your nose or gas mask.
f.) Wooden dowels is what they called it para sa pagliha ng insides ng upper and lower horns.
408714305.jpg

408714306.jpg

g.) Patience!!!! (siyempre)

Basic Rules to Follow:
a.) Pumili ng place na well ventilated like yung nabanggit ko sa taas, in my case sa ilalim ng puno ng Kamansi sa likod ng bahay. Our health is more important than the project.
b.) Isuot ang ating mga safety gears, mask and goggles, etc.
c.) Take your time, wag magmadali.

f.) Magpahinga from time to time.
g.) In my experience, ihuli ung pinakamahirap na areas like ung insides ng upper and lower horn ng guitar.
h.) Minsan maglakad lakad during breaks if yung pagliliha becomes too much, seriously it can wait naman.

anu po difference ng fretless bass guitar with the normal bass guitar (w/ fret)? based on your experienced.

Salamat po sir Iced sa tabs at backing tracks ng Glassgow ni JP..Halos parehas nga po sila ng Key ni Jack thammarat na E major..Try ko na yang glassgow nalang ung ipalit sa request nya..hehe..Tsaka bago palang kasi yang The sky was the limit..Last year lang pala sya na released..Na sipra ko na sya kaso hanggang 1min palang ako..Hindi na kaya ng tenga ko ung sumunod..hehehe..Salamat ulit sir.. :)

Sanding Continued….

Sorry po kasi hindi ko nakunan ng Pics in phases, like ung remove clear muna then ung base color na black.

The first 3 Pics show kung anung itsura pag natanggal na yung clear and black. Note, hindi pa eto ung mismong kahoy or basswood. Na confuse din ako rito kala ko kahoy na, only by close inspection ko lang nalaman na hindi pa pala kahoy. Now this is the “Hell” part, pinakamahirap sa pagliliha I mean pag manu manong liha gagawin nyo. What you see is a somewhat may pagka orangey colored na sanding sealer/filler/putty or masilya.

408565373.jpg

408565374.jpg

Advice:
a.) Kung gusto nyo lang palitan ng kulay yung guitar nyo like from black to red or, blue, or gusto nyo ipa swirl like the one below;
408714302.jpg

.....don’t sand beyond this point. Meaning mahirap ma attain yung mirror like smoothness na finish pag walang filler. Kaya kung gusto nyo lang palitan ng kulay don't sand beyond this point kasi you have the filler already, pwede ka ng magpaint over that filler. Make sure nga lang na makinis na makinis na ung filler before applying the new paint. You can do this by using sandpapers na papino na ng papino ung grit. Like start with 180 grit, then 200, then 500, 800 grit, then finishing off with a 1000 or 1200 grit. Pag nasa 1000 grit ka na, you can then wet sand. I will explain wet sanding in the later part of these series of tutorials.

b.) In my case, gusto ko kasi bare wood then oil finish. In that case I need to sand beyond this point. I need to sand away these fillers. Kelangan ko makita grain ng kahoy right? ....and that is what I am intending to do.

Next is the staining.

a work of art....love of music... i appreciate it much,, keep it up,, ..
ang ganda talaga sir...

Staining Process…

Now is the staining part, you need:

a.) An oil base stain, in my case I use ACE Oil Base Stain na nabibili sa ACE HW Stores. I use Dark Walnut Stain. Please see pic below. The purpose of the stain ay palitawin/accentuate ung grain ng kahoy parang varnish and also seals the pores of the wood and protects the wood at the same time. Haluin muna ng maigi yung lata ng stain bago i apply sa body ng guitar just like any klase ng paint. Parang naghahalo kayo ng kape, circular then pa upward yung halo.
408565420.jpg

b.) A clean lint free cloth, like ung mga pinaglumaan na cotton na damit.
c.) A brand new paint brush (1 inch) if possible.
d.) Gas mask kasi mabaho ung Stain (hehehe)

Process and Techniques:
Hindi ko po nakunan ung basswood ng guitar ko before staining, so I will cite some examples of typical basswood grains, some are boring looking some have grains if you are lucky enough. Please see pics below. Looks boring ung examples natin but once ma stain mo siya with the right process explained below, lilitaw ung ganda at natural grains ng kahit anung boring looking na wood.
408714287.jpg

408714289.jpg

a.) Now this is the technique with staining, the longer na hayaan nyong sipsipin ng kahoy ung stain, the darker it gets. In my application, medyo dark ng konti. So I apply the stain with the brush sa isang section ng guitar body then after 3 seconds punasan agad ng old cotton na damit. Then another section with the stain then after 3 seconds punas agad ng cloth, then so on so forth. I hope you get what I mean. If gusto nyo mas darker pa, try light staining then hang to dry, then another light staining pag natuyo na then hang again, then repeat the process layer by layer hanggang sa ma attain nyo ung desired darkness. Wag nyong hayaang tumagal sipsipin ung stain ng more then 10 seconds bago punasan, masyadong dark at natakpan na yung grain ang kalalabasan, mahirap pang kontrolin.
b.) Use the paint brush to stain. Paint in sections, for example sa front body muna, start at the left most areas, then ung middle areas then finish off with the right most areas sa front body then hang to dry for 30 minutes. Then ung back naman then hang to dry. Repeat the process, then ung sides naman then hang to dry. Gumawa ako ng alambreng hanger then sinuksok ko sa screw holes ng neck joint para ma isabit ko sya like the pic below.
408714299.jpg

c.) Now these are the end results, please see pics below.
