PSTV update to 3.60 plus HENkaku installation!

Para maiwasan na ang discussion ng hacking kung saan saan, lalo na dun sa official thread Discussion Thread All About PS VITA ( aka NGP ), dito na natin I post ang questions/queries regarding the PS VITA hacking scene.

Feel free to help our fellow Symbianizers dito mga tropa.

Before you proceed, eto muna ang kelangan mong malaman:

1. Sa ngayon, possible lang ang hack sa firmware version 3.60. Ibig sabihin, kung higher ang firmware ng
vita natin, hindi pwede. (e.g. hindi pwedeng i-downgrade ang 3.61 or 3.63 into 3.60)

(papano i check ang firmware? go to settings>system>system information)


2. Kung lower than 3.60 ang firmware ng Vita natin (yung sakin galing sa 2.02 UNO exploit) pwede natin I- manually
update into 3.60 via the wifi DNS settings (mamaya sa tutorial gawin natin)

3. Huwag kayong magtitiwala sa mga website na nag cclaim na pwede nilang I- jailbreak
or hack ang ps vita 3.61 or 3.63. Imbes na ma hack mo Vita mo, ikaw ang ma hahack.

4. Hindi ka makakapag log in sa PSN for online stuff/multiplayer
Dahil required ng sony ang latest firmware bago ka maka sign in


Eh gamerdad7, ano na ngayon gagawin ko pag 3.63 ang firmware ng Vita ko? Gagawin ko nalang
bang pang kalang ng pintuan?

Answer: huwag, kawawa naman si Vita. Pwedeng pwede mong i-try ang ARK exploit
na kung saan makakapag laro ka ng PSP games at homebrew via the PSP emulator inside
sa PS Vita mo. Paki search nalang sa google google search


DISCLAIMER: lahat ng information dito ay galing sa iba't ibang websites. Gagawin lang natin ang
based sa personal experience ko ng pag hack ng Vita, which surprisingly is very easy
compared sa mga nakaraang exploits (TN-V/ARK, etc)


Bakeeeeet!? kelangan i-hack ang iyong PS VITA? What's in it for you?
Ito ay para makapag install and run ng homebrew (unofficial software)
at back up games (actual ps vita games na naka dump)


STEP 1 - update to 3.60

Kung lower than 3.60 ang firmware ng Vita natin, manually update natin sya!
(Kung 3.60 ka na, skip this step!)

-- connect ka sa working wifi
-- go to network>wifi settings>click mo yung network kung saan ka naka connect (e.g. PLDT dial up 56kbit/s)
-- go to advanced settings>click DNS settings gawin mong MANUAL
-- set mo ang primary DNS to 212.47.229.76, then wala ka nang gagalawin (proxy server - Do Not Use, MTU Automatic)
-- click back until makabalik ka sa main page ng settings
-- click System Update>Update Using Wi-Fi
-- dapat sasabihin nya “A new version of the system software is available. Firmware 3.60 (変革 Compatible)”.
-- kelangan talaga lumabas ung Chinese characters 変革 kung hindi paki double check nalang yung steps.
-- follow mo lang yung prompts to install the firmware (usually ok lang at next at agree)
-- after ma install ang 3.60 firmware, balik mo na sa "Automatic" yung DNS settings mo


STEP 2 - install HENKAKU/molecularSHell

-- punta ka sa internet "Browser" ng Ps Vita mo
-- go to https://henkaku.xyz
-- click "install"
-- wag hihinga - wait mo lang matapos yung process
-- may lalabas na bagong bubble sa Vita mo, yung "molecularSHell"

Congrats anak! hacker ka na.


Bale yang molecularSHell ang magiging way mo para makapag transfer ng files/games sa
Vita at pwede narin syang installer ng games. May iba't ibang paraan ng
pag transfer at pag install ng games sa Vita, start muna tayo sa basics.

madidisable ang hack pag nag restart ka ng Vita. pero madali lang yan!
click mo si molecularSHell
wag mo i open, need mo lang i click yung "install 変革"
dun sa may left side at automatic na mag iinstall ang HENKAKU

STEP 3 -install QCMA

-- sa iyong windows PC, punta ka dito: QCMA for windows
-- install QCMA
-- open mo QCMA, rightclick mo dun sa tray icon, click settings
-- dun sa "use this version for updates" choose FW 3.60 (HENkaku)
-- plug in mo na si Vita via USB sa iyong pc, kusa na syang mag "sysync" at gagawa ng samu't
saring folder sa pc mo which is ps vita related. Pwede mong baguhin yung mga folder paths it's up
to you

NOTE: sa Henkaku settings, please enable unsafe homebrew, otherwise makaka encounter kayo ng error.

STEP 4 - download and setup VitaShell v1.61

BAKEEEET?!
may mga na encounter akong issues dun sa default molecularSHell na app kaya mas ok ang latest
version.

-- go here: VITASHELL 1.61
-- after ma download, gawa ka ng new folder inside PSAVEDATA/f656528e6f314e33/ at name mo sya na VITAMIN or kahit
anong name
-- kunin mo yung ni download mong VITASHELL.VPK (rename mo all caps) to: PSAVEDATA/f656528e6f314e33/VITAMIN


STEP 5 - transfer VitaShell v1.61

-- sa windows PC open mo si QCMA
-- right click on the taskbar icon and then click refresh database
-- plug in mo na si Vita via USB
-- sa PS Vita open content manager
-- click copy content>PC to PS Vita System>Applications
-- under saved data>click PSP/other
-- check mo si VITAMIN (or yung folder na ginawa mo) then press ok
-- ililipat nya ngayon yung VitaShell sa PS vita mo!

STEP 6 - installing VitaShell v1.61

-- sa ps Vita mo, open molecularSHell
-- navigate to ux0/pspemu>PSP>SAVEDATA>VITAMIN (or yung folder na ginawa mo)
-- dapat andun yung VITASHELL.VPK, press triangle, select mo yung "move"
-- press circle until makabalik ka sa "root" directory na Ux0
-- pres triangle, then select paste
-- pag na paste na, select mo yung VITASHELL.VPK then press X
-- follow mo lang yung prompt sa pag install

STEP 7 - downloading VPK games! (torrent)

eto na yung mga confirmed working games in VPK format para sa mga sumunod sa steps na ginawa natin sa taas.
feel free to share kahit saan, parang awa nyo na huwag nyo na gawan ng sariling PPD links dahil nakuha
nyo namang free dito.

so there you have it, pagka download mo ng torrent na VPK game of your choice, use Step 5 to transfer the game,
and install sa Vita using Step 7 rename mo lang yung VPK file into GAME.VPK para ma detect ng Vita yung game.


eh gamerdad7, di ko trip yang installation via VitaSHell, meron bang ibang paraan?!

answer: meron! installation via Mai dump tool. gagawan ko rin ng separate na post dito sa baba pag may time.

Ok now discuss naman natin pano mag install using MAI dump tool!


para sakin mas ok ang MAI installation dahil bukod sa mas mabilis ito,
pwede rin mag apply ng patch at DLC sa game!




Step 1 - download and install Mai dump tool

-- go here
-- rename the file into MAI.VPK
-- transfer to your Vita using QCMA (Step 5 po sa taas)
-- install using vitashell (Steps po nasa taas)
-- pag na install mo correctly, lalabas yung MAI dump tool bubble sa ps Vita screen

Step 2 - Installing games via MAI dump tool

-- first of all, eto ulit yung torrent ng MAI GAMESdito kayo kukuha ng mga games na i - iinstall using MAI dahil naka porma na yung folders, wala ka nang masyadong gagawin
-- naka zip yung game sa torrent, extract po natin sya
-- ang lalabas ay "titleID" folder gaya ng "PCSB00000" yan po yung proper format na nadedetect ng MAI dump tool
-- transfer natin ang "titleID" folder sa Vita mo using QCMA
-- sa Vita, open mo yung vita shell muna, then inside sa ux0 (root directory) gawa ka ng new folder named "Mai"
-- next, move mo na yung "titleID" folder dun sa "Mai" folder na ginawa mo sa loob ng ux0
-- open MAI dump tool
-- select mo install from folder then press Circle
-- wait for it and then pwede ka na maglaro!


Pano mag install ng PATCH / DLC?

-- make sure na same region as the game na na download mo yung DLC/patch
-- i- transfer yung BUONG FOLDER nung patch/dlc sa Vita using QCMA
-- wag kalimutan, yung folder ang kailangan, hindi ang ZIP file so make sure na naka
extract sya bago mo i-transfer sa Vita
-- ganito ang itsura ng patch: "PCSE00019_patch"
-- ganito naman ang DLC: "PCSB00875_addc"
-- after ng transfer, open mo si VitaSHell
-- move mo yung patch/dlc into the ux0/Mai folder na ginawa mo

IMPORTANT!

-- una dapat install ang "patch" bago ang "DLC"
-- kung walang patch yung game, rekta na DLC ang install natin


-- open Mai Dump tool
-- select install patch from folder or install DLC from folder
-- done!


NOTES:

-- kahit mag install ka ng game using Vitashell, pwede mo parin install yung DLC/patch via MAI dump tool
dahil separate folders naman ang kinalalagyan nila, just make sure na same region yung iniinstall mo na patch/DLC
-- pwede mag install ng .VPK using Mai dump tool pero may time na hindi nagana, so keep in
mind VPK is for VitaSHell; MAI is for MAI dump tool

hindi ko pa na try ang adrenaline, after ko magawa saka ko gagawan ng tutorial para
sureball. Galing kasi ako ng 2.02 UNO exploit dati kaya nagsawa ako sa PSP games

Sir ask ko lang kung mae-erase ba data ko sa vita pag ginawa ko yung mga steps ng MAI dump tool? 3.61 yung version ko.

boss di gagana sa 3.61 yung hack.

pag 3.60 or below yung firmware ng Vita, pwede. Tapos hindi mabubura yung mga naka install mo na na games dati.

pag bumili ka ng brand new sa mga mall mataas ang chance na 3.60 or below ang FW. Be sure lang na check mo muna
bago mo bilhin. Sabihin mo tetesting mo lang yung camera

mga dude, pag uwi ko galing abroad bibili ako ng ps vita TV at gagawan din natin ng simple guide. ALam nyo ba na pwede nang gamiting memory card ang USB stick sa PS VITA TV sa latest na HENKAKU hack?

pwede boss basta 3.60 version bili ka na din mmc mga 32gb kung mag sstart ka pa lang maglaro sa vita

OP ako sa vita hacking scene since walang interest at halos lahat na yata ng mga vita games eh may copy na ko. gusto ko lang laruin sa ps tv ko yung mga fan translation. this is a good guide to start with. thanks ts
