Feel free to discuss and ask questions regarding Google's latest flagship phones.

Short FAQs:

  1. Supported country ba ang Philippines? Hindi
  2. May official / accredited seller ba sa Pilipinas? Wala. If you want to buy one, meron sa grey market or buy directly from U.S. retailers and use a package forwarding service or magpabili sa kakilalang balikbayan.
  4. May kasama bang charger sa box? Wala.

US/EU countries lang talaga merong ganitong features.

helpful talaga ng call screen against scammers or if trip mo lang talagang di sagutin unknown/random calls

Pinaka importante talaga sa akin this time around is camera performance. $750.

Kung meron man achilles' heel ang Pixel 7, charging time. Mabagal for 2022 standards. :weep:

Bibili talaga ako nito last month sana.

EDIT:

Last na issue is, kapag nagka-problema, walang service center sa Pinas kaya kailangan ipadala ulit sa US. Hehe.

Hehe

Oo. Ambilis uminit pati

TS, wala bang issue yan sa cam? may napanuod kasi ako, issue nya sa post processing pag nag change ng lense hindi real time, medyo mabagal yung live feed. at di pare parehas color temp ng bawat lenses. pero goods talaga quality ng photo, if di naman big deal yung issue. balak ko din kasi mag palit from ip 11pm to gp 7p or xperia 1 IV. available kasi dito sa japan yung gp 7 pro kaso medyo nag lean ako sa sony dahil lahat ng specs meron parin si sony, pricey nga lang. salamat sa advance feedback.

Hindi naman siguro issue yung post-processing before ma-finalize Yung photo output. That's part of the Pixel camera experience, ika-nga. Yung color temp naman, parang nabasa ko rin yun pero pwede mo naman adjust before taking the shot if you trust your eyes more than Google's algo.

As for comparison vs 1-IV, I'm more of a point-and-shoot guy. Di ako bihasa sa photography so I take what I get. Pero kung ma-maximize mo naman yung pro-features/mode ng Sony at priority mo yung mas maraming options for post, go for Sony. Priorities na lang siguro.

salamat sa magandang feedback TS. you have a point ts, if you're a type of run n gun mobile photographer then go for what can shoot on the fly. but if you're knowledgeable in dslr/mirrorless, you can utilize sony smoothly. i am also not that familiar with dslr. *laugh* share more of your experience ts. naka bm na ako para makasubaybay. Ang medyo downside pala ng Pixel 7/7 Pro is hindi na enabled by default yung 32bit apps support kaya most modded apks or older apps hindi mo na maiinstall unless mag root ka para ienable. ☹️
Sana naman address ni google in future software updates para no need to root na.

Ye.

(note that both are using adaptive display for this observation)
    • 120Hz refresh rate for P7p is nice. Na-spoil ako nito to the point na naiinis ako mag scroll ng content sa note 8 at s10 ko. Smooth talaga ng scrolling / browsing sa P7p
  • CAMERA
    • What can I say? 2nd place sa Smartphone Camera Test ni MKBHD, Rank #2 sa Dxomark, and multitude of recommendations from reviewers. Ako, super satisfied. Detail and color accuracy are amazing. Kung may puna man ako sa camera is yung amount of sharpening pagka sinubukan mo kumuha in normal mode indoors na medyo dim / kulang sa lighting. Mas maigi na mag switch to night mode sa ganung scenario.
  • SPEAKERS
    • Definitely better than my Note 8. Yung top earpiece speaker outputs media sound as well so meron front-facing at meron din bottom-firing speaker (right). It can get loud and I've never set max volume. Takot ako Baka masira ko. Hehe.
  • PERFORMANCE
    • Snappy and smooth. Yun lang masasabi ko. Sa previous phone ko, when I'm updating apps, it takes a couple of seconds for the "installing" part to finish. Sa P7p, I rarely see that part of the update process.
It's so bad that I disabled it.
  • UPDATES
    • Ang sarap ng feeling na pag nag announce ang Google ng update (like the December feature drop), pagka-check mo sa phone meron na available. amazing! Hehe. Di na gaya dati na abang kung kelan kasi by region ang rollout or per device, etc. Looking forward to 3 more major OS updates and tons of feature drops. Sana lang gawin nilang 4 na OS update like Samsung.
  • BATTERY
    • A single charge can get me through the day of medium use (mostly streaming video on wifi, no games). Not experiencing any weird battery drain issues. I suggest na mag clean install ng apps (don't transfer data during the phone's initial setup process). Charging the p7p's 5000mah battery takes around 100 mins from 10% to 100% using a 65w USB PPS charger (23W max). My Note 8 does the same charging time using an 30w qc3.0 charger (18W max) while having only 3300mah.
  • BUILD
    • I chose the snow variant (white). I appreciate the fact that I can lay the phone on the table na hindi umuuga pag ginagamit much like my flat note 8. Nakaka praning lang yung camera visor ng P7p kasi madali raw magasgasan according to reviews. Bago dumating yung phone, nauna na dumating yung accessories para iwas gasgas at magamit agad. The p7/p was JerryRigEverything's Most repairable phone of 2022 but since walang authorized repair centers ng pixel sa Pinas, I'm treating this as the least repairable phone in the Philippines. doble ingat ako sa P7p ko at balak ko siya gamitin ng maraming taon.
    • Volume rocker placement is great for accessibility but bad for tripod / selfie-sticks. You're forced to offset the clamp to the bottom part of the phone so magiging top-heavy (camera side-heavy pag landscape)

This is what's really pushing me back to buy this phone. Ang laking issue for me personally, na hindi ko magamit yung kahit pa small features nito.

Although I have checked on XDA forums na this is possible if you're lucky enough to have the "Direct-from-Google (or other retailers who aren't U.S. Carriers), factory Carrier Unlocked Pixels" na pwedeng i-unlock bootloader and eventually root the phone.

may desktop mode na ba pixel 7? gusto ko na i-upgrade pixel 3 ko  napapisip tuloy ako if mag samsung ako this time.

Wala pa yata? WIP pa rin. Dex is nice to have although I rarely used it.
