Re: Bakit ako gagamit ng linux? anu ba advantage nito at ano ba ang mapapal

im not avid fan of linux .. im using it for hacking purposes only.. to hack wifi neighbours.. the rest windows na gamit ko..

I tried Linux for a week... and I learned that I cant REplace CC with any other apps... so illegal yes, but we know that MS and adobe wont be hunting you down unless you are broadcasting yourself that you installed a crack on your pc. The better distros I have ever installed was studio 18.

I know this is a very old post but just for clarity, "social engineering" itself is not a toolkit. The other term for social engineering is "people hacking" which is basically panlilinlang sa ibang tao para makuha mo ang gusto mo, usually information.

Now with regards to the question: Bakit Linux? The first time I tried Linux was around 1996. That's also the time I quit using Micro$oft Windoze. Naging solid ako sa Linux for more than 10 years using it on a daily basis.

Sa ngayon, for more than 10 years na rin, I'm using FreeBSD. It's not Linux but it's also UNIX based.

Sa mga gusto magtry ng Linux, I would recommend Debian or Mint Linux. If you're curious naman about FreeBSD, DON'T TRY IT unless you are already very much familiar with Linux, particularly Gentoo or Archlinux.

Baka may other way kayo pano mag install ng linuxmint sa windows 7. And if ever gusto ko na siyang gawing permanent os, pano po xa iinstall? Wala pong dvd drive laptop ko. Patulong po. Salamat.

Linux mint user here! ok naman for security purposes pag gamer ka or MS Office lover.. wag kana tumoloy..

Una sa lahat you would need to download Mint ISO installer here: https://linuxmint.com/download.php

Now there are 3 DEs or Desktop Environment to choose from. If you're up to eye candy, yung maganda sa paningin right away after install, you can choose Cinnamon or MATE. Mas malaki din filesize ng mga ito. But if you wanted a more speedy setup, yung lightweight lang, pero customizable naman, go for XFCE.

XFCE is actually my favorite desktop environment. It's what I have in my FreeBSD: https://i.postimg.cc/zvgkkmrG/Free-BSD-04302019.png

After mo madownload yung ISO installer you need to make a USB installer sa Windows mo, I think the software you can use is refus or rufus (I forgot the name, search mo na lang). Then, once you boot up sa iyong CD installer, you can either test Mint right away from your USB (since your USB installer is actually a Live Installer) or install it.

If you choose to install it, follow mo lang yung instructions sa screen. Ang problema lang pag ininstall mo si Mint or kahit anong OS sa virtual machine, the guest OS na nasa virtual machine doesn't really work the way it should unlike when you install it as host or actual OS. Goodluck mate! ;)

Well depende sa BIOS, some modern BIOS' will not detect a USB flash drive unless the flash drive itself is configured as an installer. It's usually any function keys, in my case it's F11. When I press F11 on my computer while booting up, and there's a USB installer plugged, nakikita ko sya sa list of options. In your case search mo kung anong key yung Boot Menu para sa laptop mo. Kung nacreate mo ng maayos yung USB installer mo, you should see it as one of the list of options sa Boot Menu :)

I see.. still thinking about this.. will see more comment pa guys ng maengganyo .

Boss, yung pc mo ba 32 bit or 64bit?

You may check this Is it possible to install mint from Windows? and check the explanation about doing a frugal install of a downloaded iso file using Unetbootin.

Kung makakapag-install ka sir ng Ubuntu, you may just go for it as well kasi linuxmint is based on Ubuntu's latest LTS (currently 18.04).
Then kung ayaw mo ng gnome 3, you may download and use XFCE, KDE, MATE or even Cinnamon.

Im a long time linuxmint user, And I always keep a copy of Puppy Linux on a USB stick for emergency purposes.
pero sa work PC ko mas preferred ko ang Ubuntu or manjaro.

Why? Dahil Linuxmint is LTS based, mas luma ang mga software sa repo though pwede ka gumamit ng PPA.
I always use the mini.iso from ubuntu tapos tsaka ako namimili ng Desktop Environment.

Sa mga kelangan mag-decide, or kelangan ng other sources of idea/opinion,

This are some youtube channels to help you out:
1. DistroTube

3. TuxDigital
4. Gaming on Linux
5. The Linux Experiment
6. Joe Collins

marami pang iba.
