External HDD virus infected that creates +45,000 subfolders

Hi,

Patulong naman po mga sir nainfect kasi yung external hdd ko ng shortcut virus at naayos ko na siya sa pamamagitan ng attrib -s -h /s /d pero nung wala na yung virus at nasort out na yung mga files ko eh nasa loob siya ng folder na may +900 na subfolders na nakita ko sa properties. kapag pinapasok ko ng pinapasok eh nagccrash ang explorer.exe ko. nagtry na din ako magsearch sa explorer na gamit yung "*" at yung "*.?*" para malist lang lahat ng folder or files para macopy ko sila pero still no luck kasi nagccrash ang explorer.exe.

Ano kaya ang magandang way para marecover ko yung mga files ko 2TB HDD siya at halos mapupuna na yun at ganon kadami ang files ko

Salamat sir sa pagreply. Natanggal ko na yung virus kasi nagscan na din ako ng antivirus pero ang nahihirapan ako eh yung pano ko marerecover yung mga files ko

Or ganito na lang. I-copy mo yung laman ng external HDD mo sa computer mo at doon mo i-access kasi mostly mas mabilis HDD ng computer mo kaysa sa mga external HDD

Ano kaya ang magandang way para marecover ko yung mga files ko 2TB HDD siya at halos mapupuna na yun at ganon kadami ang files ko

basta wala ka pang dinedelete na folder dyan ay intact pa yun files mo, search and download mo yun filezilla, kadalasan ginagawa ng virus na hidden at unmarked yun root directory ng mga files mo, bale pag open mo ng filezilla, locate mo lang yun root directory ng file, highlight mo lang lahat saka i-drag mo sa new folder, matic i-copy nya yun files mo, format mo na lang yun harddrive mo pagkatapos

Chineck ko siya may hidden files pa pala sa loob ng pinakamalalim na folder at ngayon eh 45,0030 subfolders inaunhidden ko kasi siya. Pano ko kaya maextract yung mga folders at files sa dating state at pagkakasunod sunod? View attachment 360493

Na unhide mo na ba yung system files? kasi dun sa command na ginawa mo sa cmd hindi na naa unhide yung system files. Wala sa 45k+ na folder yung files mo, unless 45k times mo kinabit tang hdd mo sa infected na computer.

No need to enable write protect. Mas maganda kung disable na lang yung autorun ng removable media. And if ever mag-insert ng external devices dapat scan muna with antivirus bago mo i-access.
