How to pick the right medical bills protection for you and your family.

If youā€™re new to picking a plan to protect yourself from high hospital bills, these are the things you may want to consider first before buying:

HMO through your employer

HMO is short health maintenance organizations that are usually provided by employers to you upon regularization. HMO usually covers expenses on emergency room trips, doctorā€™s consultations, and lab tests, ranging from P20,000 to P200,000 per year. This amount depends on your company, and since HMOs are linked to your company, you can only use it as long as youā€™re being employed by them.

Your expected health care needs

Depending on your familyā€™s medical history, you can prepare for what kind of care you will possibly need in the future by talking with your family doctor.

Your budget

Now that you know your possible health care needs, you can choose a plan that can cover the potential medical bills but is within your budget.

Choosing the right plan can seem dauntingā€”but whatever you do, donā€™t put it off or skip protection altogether. You might end up paying more hospital bills than you wouldā€™ve on coverage.

Credit to SingleLife

Life Insurance Benefits and Features that you might not know

1. Did you know that after 3 months of issuance of your policy from PRU Life UK, you can avail or claim your Critical Illness Benefits even if it isn't fully paid?
Yes kahit 3 months mo palang nababayaran yong policy mo, let say 3k Monthly yong premium mo that's 9k for 3 months.

2. Did you know that if you avail a VUL Policy, premiums won't increase as you age? unlike traditional insurances that increases over time.

Wala akong bank account. Any recommendation?

Magandang suggestion po ito, but before investing consider this.

If incase ma accident, magkasakit, ma disable or mawala sa mundong ito, saan ka or family mo kkuha ng pera for this?

To simplify ganito dapat yonf structure ng finances naten bago tayo mag invest.

Financial Pyramid.png

Kasi what if mangyari sayo yong mga di inaasahan, saan mo kukunin yong pondo? sa investment mo? what if di pa kumikita or worse nasa bear market?

Kaya eto po ang suggestion ko.

Example nawalann ka ng trabaho, medical emergencies na di covered ng HMO or Insurance mo and etc.

Q: How much naman need mo na nasa emergency fund or wallet mo?
A: At least 6 months to 1 year ng iyong monthly income. So Monthly income x 6 or 12

60% for your Necessities, 20% Savings, 20% Wants.

2. Apply ka for Income Protection, madaming klase yan ang pinaka popular ngayon is VUL or Insurance with investment.

-Life Insurance
-Health Insurance/Critical Illness Insurance
-Disability Insurance
-Accident Insurance
-Hospital income benefit.

If enough yong coverage mo, di mo magagalaw yong savings or investments mo, si insurance na ang bahala sayo, incase of uncertainties.
Ang kagandahan sa VUL may sariling investment yan, so may naiipon ka kahit paano na masmalaki ang earning kesa sa bank, pede mo yang gamitin for your retirement.

Q: How much coverage ang kelangan ko?
A: General Rule of Thumb, dapat

3. Apply for HMO card, usually meron ka nyan if employed ka, in case wala, pede ka din mag apply may mga gastos padin kasi na di sakop ng life/health insurance na meron sa HMO.

Mag research at magtanong.

Sana po nakatulong ^_^.
