As of now, I have Lutris installed and got Diablo 3 working on it. napagana ko rin yung King of Fighters XV pero parang di maganda yung emulation at malaki delay game time.
When using Steam naman, well, may native versions naman yung Dota2 at CS:Go... so, walang issue maybe...
After enabling Steam Play and Proton, supposedly, we could play more than 90% of Windows based games... what are your thoughts on this?




my current setup:

Ryzen 5 3600
MSI Mortar Max B450M
16gb 3200mhz corsair RAM
basurang 2nd hand rx570 on AOC Q32G1WG4 monitor
dual boot on Windows 11 and Pop!OS on separate SSD

How to enable Proton and Steam Play

Click on Steam menu then Settings

Select Steam Play then put a check on Enable Steam Play for supported titles and Enable Steam Play for all other titles

then sa drop down menu ng Run other titles with, select Proton Experimental
Press OK, You might need to restart steam for the changes to take effect.
pagkatapos, pwede ka na pumunta ng Library to install the windows based games that you own that are supported.
proceed normally sa installation. bahala na si steam sa mga folder emulation nyan.

i have a very limited library of games to test kaya its hard to say. yung kofxv via lutris ko pinagana kasi illegal hindi maganda... bili daw ako ng orig
diablo3 works great. ang issue na na-encounter ko nung una yung screen scaling. dapat 100% lang icons mo, kung hindi, sabog yung sa diablo... basically, scaled buong d3 session mo depende sa multiplier. pero kung 100%, no issues.
natest ko sandali yung black squad atsaka eternal card game. no problem. works perfectly
dota2 and cs:go doesn't count kasi may native linux app sila

Diablo 3 on Pop!OS using Lutris.
may ramdam akong konting delay sa pagsulpot ng kalaban. parang latency issue. hindi naman consistent na ganun. pero may mga namamatay na lang bigla tapos susulpot na lang drops or late animation ng death nila. very playable though. ewan ko lang kung recommended to pag resyosong rift run in open multiplayer mode.

okaaaay... i was just playing around... kaya, nag-swap muna kami ng kapatid ko ng video card (well, kinuha ko since wala naman sya sa bahay for more than a week na)
it's a Geforce GTX 1060 3gb... i don't usually play in linux... just experimenting and "proof of concept" na napagana ko nga. so, nagtataka ako nung sinubukan ko run yung d3 via lutris, naghahang yung battle.net na app (yes, i've installed the drivers)... so... i tried messing around with the settings ng lutris... apparently, may mga amd specific features pala dun na enabled... so, dinisable ko lang and diablo3 worked fine... will check again kung maka-issue pa ulit once na isoli ko yung video card ng utol ko at ibalik ko yung sakin...

another trick I've discovered to run windows games on linux, gamitin yung ADD A GAME sa Steam client. Select Add a Non-Steam Game... Click the Browse button. Click on Change File Type and choose All Files. Navigate to your game folder, select the game's executable, then click on the button ADD SELECTED PROGRAMS.

after nun, lalabas na sa game library mo yung game executable. Right click on it, then select properties. Click on Compatibility. Then add a check mark to Force the use of a Steam Play compatibility tool. then choose the latest version of proton... pwede mo palitan yung proton version depende sa performance or kung may bugs ang game mo.

sa ngayon, linux mint. i kinda like it now after theming it
i was hopping between ubuntu and pop!os previously.

napagana ko na sa lutris yung ragnarok
mas madali yung ginawa ko sa steam. may mga hindi compatible na options sa lutris na biglang di gagana yung game.
