O+ 8.93 Thread
Welcome to AmadeusGL's drunk review.
Since wala akong makitang thread about O+ 8.93 I decided to make one.
There's nothing much to say about this phone rather than it's an android phone and that's it.
If I could write this post earlier, I would say that
you should avoid buying this phone. I'll tell more of that later, for now specs muna :

RAM : 512mb DDR (447mb usable)
ROM : 4gb (1.7gb partitioned as internal memory

Battery : 1800 mAh
Other features :
HSPA+ capable, AirShuffle, Dual Sim (Micro + Regular), Camera 5mp back, 2mp front
Release date : October 25, 2014
Price : 4,395 pesos
My review about this phone :
Like I said above, there's not much to say about it, for me it's quite a disappointment.
First time ko magkaron ng O+ na phone, and compare to other local brands yung mga phone nila ay
quite outdated specs-wise and overpriced vs. Cherry Mobile, Starmobile, MyPhone, etc.
The Good :
Free Flip Cover? Yun lang ata masasabi kong maganda about this phone, it has a free flip cover na naka-attach sa back cover ng phone mo, di pa nga siya talagang good kasi wala kang replacement for it, I tried asking in a group at sa mga malls, wala.
Design, I gotta hand it to them, for a bad phone it sure looks premium.
The Bad :
Poor Battery Life, it has 1800mAh battery capacity but it's not about the capacity naman, it's about integration.
Vs. Cherry Mobile Flare (1st Gen) (1500mAh) halos sabay lang sila malobat according to my stress test at 40% pa yung battery ng Acer Z120 ko with 1100mAh battery capacity only. It is badly integrated even for Android 4.4 KitKat standards.
Lags, lags and lots of lags, I understand that it is a low-spec phone, but the lag existed even on my first use (unboxing palang ha.), it's quite bloated there's that pero kahit tanggaling ko yung bloatwares lag pa rin talaga.
Poor Aftersales, this is a problem in general, kahit anong local brands mahina aftersales nila pagkakabili mo, you're on your own bud.
It's almost non-existent, wala akong makitang website na may concrete article about this phone, kahit sa facebook page ng O+ di ito na-featured ni minsan. Kahit sa official website nila, wala silang kahit anong repository whatsoever.
So tip : If you own this phone, root it and backup your Stock ROM, wala kang mahihingian promise.
Almost Everything. No wonder pinamimigay lang to sa Eat Bulaga. Just Kidding.
TL;DR it's really bad.
How to root your O+ 8.93

the latest version should be able to root this phone. (Internet connection may be required.)
Why root ?
Rooting in general, will maximize your android experience, also this phone cannot function well without root access.
I really recommend for you to root your O+ 8.93 and de-bloat it. It may improve this phone's performance but not that much. It's a hopeless case.
Do you recommended this phone?
No. I don't. I hated it. If may balak kang mag-apply for a plan sa smart and they offer you
O+ 8.93, pick another or settle for another phone. Avoid this!
