PLDT PLDT HOME DSL How to limit/control Ethernet Users?

Hello Guys,
BS Civil Engineering, na-Adik sa DOTA2

Alam ko lang pano mag kick/block ng wifi user, pero sabay parin kasi meron naman Pisonet connected, pano po mga Master ng limit/controll or kick something if meron ganon? Nosebleed nako sa kakabasa, ito mga terms na encounter ko QoS, DHCP, Port Mapping, DMZ, Port Trigger, etc pero wala pa rin, kelangan na talaga ng Master. Meron ako nahanap sa YouTube kaso iba firmware nila as in Ez kick lang. Sana Pagbigyan:praise::praise::help:.

Try ka bumili ng tenda na router. then limit mo yung speed each users. User friendly yung QOS ng tenda
 
Hi! IT here ^_^

Uhm, you need to invest on a router with built-in bandwidth management feature, I suggest yung tenda routers, specifically yung tenda w311r+ since ive been using one, walang lag kahit mag download or youtube pa sila basta maayos lang ang ISP mo. I bridge mo lang yung modem/router na binigay ni PLDT then salpak mo yung ethernet cable sa LAN port 1 ng PLDT router to WAN port ng router na nabili mo. Pasok ka sa settings dun sa bandwidth management, then limit mo 30-200 kbps, 30 kbps is your assured bandwidth kaya wag mo masyadong taasan to lalo na kung maraming user, and 200 kbps is your max dl speed, more than enough na yang 200. Lalakas ang kita ng shop niyo if ever, tsaka mura lang naman yung router P1,200 nung nabili ko sa mall.

Ask ko lang po, I searched for tenda w311r+ and nakita ko 4 slots lang yung pedeng i-connect dun sa router. Panu kapag more than 4 computers (Pisonet) po yung pag gagamitan ko?

Gamit ka po ng network switch, available at 4 ports, 8 ports, 16 ports, 24ports, etc depende kung ilang pc ang kailangan mo isaksak. Isalpak mo lang yung cable sa available port ng router, tas yung other end is sa port 1 ng switch, then pwede mo nang isaksak yung ibang pc sa port 2 to port 8 ng switch, if for example 8 ports ang nabili mo na switch.

Bale kung nakabili ka ng 8 ports na switch, plus yung 4 port pa ng router, since 1 port ng router is used to connect with switch and vice versa, you can connect 10 pisonets na pag ganyan.

ano po ang advantage sa naka bridge? sa direkta lang na lan sa port 1 from another router?
 
Kung gusto mo makatipid yung hindi na bibili ng router, try mo idownload si netlimiter or netbalancer.

ang gagawin ng app na yan ililimit nya ung kayang idownload ng isang PC sa application gaya ni chrome, firefox, torrent etc.

downside lang nito pag techie ung player mo at inend task nya yun mawawalan ng saysay. unless idisable mo si task manager or ihide mo ung process.

Pag brinidge mo kasi, lan port 1 lang ang gagana sa router ng pldt, yung router kasi ng pldt is hybrid modem/router, typical network setup should only have 1 router, pag di mo kasi brinidge, dalawa na ang gagawa ng routing. bridging means, ididisable mo lang yung router function ng PLDT modem/router at mag a-act nalang cya as a modem, yung na a-acquire niyang ip address will be passed to the router and the rest of the routing function will be done by the router na nabili mo, advantage is simpler network setup, tsaka maiiwasan mo yung double NAT, search mo kay google, at lowest ping possible.

PLDT M/R (lan port 1) -> Router (wan port) then Router (lan ports) -> clients

Isa pang disadvantage is hindi nalilimitan yung mga naka wifi na device lang smartphone unless i didisable nalang yung wifi, yung sa tenda kasi, lahat nalilimitahan, kahit smartphones, sh*t kailangan talaga akong bayaran ng tenda sa pag aadvertise ko dito :3

Nga pala, wag na kayong umasa sa QoS ng router ng PLDT, hahahaaha, walang kwenta yan
 
disadvantage naman tlga un pero kung piso net owner ka d mo nmn siguro papamigay password ng wifi mo or ikaw lng nmn cguro gagamit.

Thank you sir. I was about to buy na sana yesterday pero nalito ako kung mag settle ako with Tenda W311R+ Router or buy Tenda F303 Wifi-N Router instead. 50 pesos difference lang po kasi. Any thoughts po kung anong mas maganda between the two?

Also, ma-adjust ko rin ba yung bandwidth management nung mga naka-kabit thru switch?

Kung ako sayo sir build ka nalng ng pfsense box mo. lahat ng kailangan mo andun na. limiter, traffic shaping, squid cache at iba pa.
 
Net limiter po.. o kea yung sa android net cut pwede rin sya mag limit ng speed at mag block

tried bridging PLDT modem / router then connect ko sa TPLINK router ko. wlang internet :/ what did i miss? thanks po

How much time and money will be spent in setting up a pfsense box compared to buying a capable router like Tenda?

Noob here, no idea regarding pfsense.

Interesado lang ako sa traffic shaping to maintain low ping in online games kahit may nagda-download at nagyo-youtube.

Sana may mag-comment.

T.S. bananana need help po, kse when i saw this thread prang ito yung sagot sa problema ko hahahaha

i have 9 units, connection pldt home dsl, yung setup po eh
pldt modem> sa port1 ng switch(TL-SF1016D)> sa port2,3,4 and so on yung mga units!

my problem T.S. eh pag yung 9units running na, maguumpisa na maglag and ma dc ng ma dc!

question T.S. need ko ba mag buy ng router, to solve my problem?
