Possible ba mag hack ang mga moderm/router ni PLDT in default setting?

just for conversation sake,
(since wala ako makitang matinong thread regarding kali/apcrack/reaver etc. puro pano ihack ang wifi nang kapitbahay ko lang meron)

afaik kasi ang default password nang mga router ni pldt is "PLDTmyDSL(router'smac)" so malabo sya mahack using dictionary and afaik wala din wps mga modem/router combo so hindi din ubra reaver...

meron na ba nakalusot?

nag try ako dati sir ng kali linux pero wala naman ngyari... most of the router now, matibay ang security nila. kahit naka wps enabled / O featured meron yung router. hindi pa rin makalusot. nag try ako dati ng xiaopan galing dito. no effect pa rin... pero tnx na rin sa mga nag post kasi dami ko natutunan at sumakit ulo ko. pero extra knowledge na rin... Yes, May makakalusot kung naka-enabled ang WPS at haba ng PIN. 'Yan ang unang step, to crack. Next, kung nasa loob na sila ng network, scan nila mga naka-open ports especially, telnet at SSH.

AFAIK wala WPS ang mga modern/router ni pldt.meron ba sila nirelease na modern/router combo na may wpn feature?

tska kahit hindi naka enable ang WPS as long as its a feature nang router lulusot si reaver.

ang problema kasi paps kahit gano kalaki nang wordlist mo hindi ubra sa pinas kasi mga downloadble wordlist english ang base eh ang mga password dito satin mostly tagalog ang base word. kaya either through reaver or WEP lang ang pwede natin itarget.

there are many ways to hack wifi password like reaver, dictionary attack which is the mostly talk about apps but you are missing phishing, Rogue Access Points/Rogue APs, Brute-force attack, Man in the middle attack, social engineering exploit etc. ito na yun last option na tyagaan talaga it may take days, weeks or even months depends on how persistent the hacker is. A good hacker thinks out of the box and eventually will break it.

but if we are talking about noob hacker, frustrations sometimes result to desertion.

I dont think MITM would be applicable since youre still outside the network. but RogueAP could actually be an option. {launch a rougeAP, deauth their APs clients and hope that someone gets phished!} :P

as much as possible i wouldnt want to discuss social engineering kasi its a whole different field plus we pinoys are very friendly, we'd end up having badvibes dun sa may ari nang network pag nag kaalaman so its still best not to have any contact. lol
