Unique movie siya sakin in a way na parang ngayon lang ata ako nakakita ng sports-drama movie na tina-tackle yung buhay ng isang basketball scout, lalo pa na NBA scout, so medyo refreshing take siya para sakin. There's nothing original, rehashed story elements pa rin naman yung gamit dito sa film pero nagustuhan ko pa rin yung pagkakabuo ng story nonetheless, so kudos kila Adam Sandler & LeBron for producing this film. Ganda din ng performance ni Sandler, and I think at this point in time, just like other comedians, nasa punto na rin ata siya ng buhay niya wherein mas pinipili na niyang gumawa ng mga serious films/dramas na pwede niyang i-show off ang acting prowess niya, para mas makapaglatag siya ng maayos na acting legacy. And hopefully makita ko pa siya sa mga ganitong klaseng movies in the future. Na-enjoy ko nga rin pala yung mga cameos ng mga NBA staff, coaches and players dito hehe. Si Anthony Edwards pa yung gumanap na antagonist in contrast kay Bo Cruz played by Juancho Hernangomez ng Utah Jazz in real life.
Overall, this is a nice film. Pangdagdag sa movie collections ko hehe.

Ip Man - The Awakening Master
Okay na addition sa franchise. Obviously rehashed lang din ulit yung story elements dito. Walang bago, tipong may foreign tyrant na nagpapahirap sa mga tao, tapos mag-iintroduce ng foreign martial arts style, papalabasin na superior kesa sa wing chun, tapos tatalunin in the end ni Master Ip gamit yung wing chun mastery niya. Pero ayos pa rin naman makakita ng mga wing chun fight scenes kahit papano, I guess yun naman talaga yung highlight sa mga Ip Man movies.
Overall, okay naman. Pero para sakin ito yung tipo ng movie na kuntento na ko mapanood kahit isang beses lang.

I just recently cleared Land of the Dead from my backlog. Okay lang siya as far as "zombie" movie goes, especially yung approach sa gore at cosmetics. Albeit also cheesy at parts pagdating sa acting at direction.
