Diary of a frustrated programmer

nakaka motivate naman yung tread na to, sana magkaroon din aku tym bumalik sa programming, although IT grad aku, unang job ko is CSR, 3 yrs din akung nag tiyaga para maka kuha ng experience, ngaun IT service desk nku isang company, ok naman work ko related parin sa IT peru gusto ko sana mag programming ulit d ko lng alam kung saan mag sisimula.

Keep learning Sir. Accept that you don't know everything. I hope you will find what you really want. Goodluck!

Pero now that you are already working as an educator, dapat may time ka ng mag-aral sa subject matter mo kasi you are already given ample time to review, read and study your lessons. isa pa, tungkulin ng isang guro na mag aral para may ma-feed sya sa class nya. kung hindi mo talaga matutunan ang programming magisa, maraming resources jan. it can be somebody or published tuts from the web(nagkalat). may ibat-ibang learning curves tayo e. yung iba natututo mag-isa lang, yung iba through other mediums like watching, reading, yung iba through tutors. Isa pa, programming is not as easy as other stuff na babasahinmo 3x, 5x, 10x e makukuha mo na. Logic formulation and analysis ang programming. so you really need to push yourself the limit. Tips for learning? read and implement(try it yourself). then teach yourself analysis and logics. second thing, kaylangan mo magkaroon ng foundation sa basics. halos lahat ng programming languages halos pare-pareho na yan, syntax lang ang pagkakaiba. that's the secret. and third? never stop studying and reading. then next step is to try various exercise, then implement into a more realistic and functional software(gawa ka ng sarili mong system). chill and happy coding to you sir.

I'd like to share my experience..
Graduate ako ng 2 years Computer Programming way back 2006.

Nakapagwork ako as programmer ng year 2009.
Almost 10 years nako sa field, supervisor nako now.

thank you guys from the bottom of my

May advice is to quit your teaching job. Sabi nga ni Peter Gregory (Silicon Valley): Don't! Do not do that. Go work at Burger King. Go into the woods and forage for nuts and berries. Do not go back to college!

kinoconsider ko siya kaso feeling ko i still need more time to learn para makipagsabayan sa corporate world. so this is my training ground. balita ko kasi mejo mababa ang sweldo ng mga junior programmer. saka kung itatapat ako sa ibang fresh grad baka waley ang skills ko. what do you think?

I want to learn more but I don’t know where to start, although nakapagstart na ko pero I still feel it wasn’t enough. Ngayon I’ve committed myself to make time learning more and make a software but nahihirapan ako. Should I give up? Although some of you may say na “you do not program because of money” pero realtalk kailangan natin ang pera. Sana may nakakarelate sa akin dito at meron ako ditong maging mga kaibigan to guide me through this. Thank you nga pala sa time kahit mahaba tong post ko. Sana may makatulong. God bless!

You are a hopeless case. Sad to say but it is true. You should just give up and focus more on stuff/things that you really like to do instead. You will never survive in the IT industry with that kind of attitude.

You will never be successful software developer if wala kang common sense and passion in this field. Clearly you lack both. But you still have a chance if would really commit and dedicate lots of time into studying. It's doable if you invest at-least 4 hrs everyday into reading and practicing coding.

Google is your best friend. PRO TIP: Search mo. "How to use google effectively"

Download ka isang basic programming E-Book. Then basahin mo from page 1 - END. And do all programming exercises. PRO TIP AGAIN: Stick to 1 programming language. Once familiar kana sa isa. Madali nalang mag learn ng other languages. Concepts stays the same only the syntax changes. Easiest to learn is Python. Java has a high learning curve in general.

WALANG MAKAKATULONG SAYO. SARILI MO LANG. WAG KANG OA. GROW SOME BALLS AND COMMIT IF GUSTO MO TALAGA.

Sorry if you are offended. :snack:

You should put in your post "Only good comments and happy thoughts because I'm a snowflake and you may hurt my ego" :noidea:

That was my thoughts based on your initial post. I even list down the stuff you can do so that you can at-least make it. Programming is not for everyone and clearly like I said you will not be a good programmer if you have no common sense.

I want to learn more but I don’t know where to start, although nakapagstart na ko pero I still feel it wasn’t enough.
- Google mo po Teacher

Ngayon I’ve committed myself to make time learning more and make a software but nahihirapan ako.
- Wrong mindset. Its about the happiness of learning something new everyday and applying it in our current project or task. And not about thinking WHY IS THIS HARD.

Should I give up? - Yes give up if puro ka lang paawa dito. Like I said no one can help you but only yourself. And yes I know I am mean but my opinion still stands and I know and you know it is true. :snack:

Sorry if you are offended.

Give-up kung ang dami mong personal reasons or over thinking na wala kang maging progress.

Same with me even though hindi ko na nasunod career path of IT, at the least nagbabasa pa rin ako ng programming books, software/hardware familiarity (hands-on) at sometimes coding programs for personal use at laking tulong nito lalo na sa trabaho ko. Until now, I'm working on a non IT industry, nagsisi ako pero naging masaya dahil nagfocus ako sa bagay na gusto ko.

Google is your best friend talaga at dito rin sa Mobilarian marami akong natutunan.

Thank you for sharing your diary. Good luck.

i feel you sir, siguro tamad din ako. studyante padin ako hnggng ngayon.

kayang kaya nyo yan guys aral lang ng aral minsan kasi puro laro nauuna natin lalo tayong mga programmers we are also gamers :D Code mona bago Laro LOLS

share ko lng 2 years grad ako IT. nung una nag babalak ako mag apply ng programming .NET kaso kahit isa di ako na pasok sa nga interview khit programmer of the year ako nun that time ndi nmn sa pag yayabang share ko lng khit ano kase galing mo khit saan aspeto di basehan pag kulng ka parin sa kakayahan at tiwala. so ginawa ko habang nag purisigi maging developer nag apply muna ko graphics designer dahil my passion nmn ako sa arts at ayun napasok ako after 5 years maging designer so nag apply ako software engineering UI/UX so puro designing UI na pasok ko. hagang sa sinabi ko gusto ko na mag code at pinayagan ako boss ko ayun nag tuloy tuloy na . ang buhay talaga ng isang tao my flow minsan khit gusto mo kagad makuha gusto mo work . my nga bagay muna pag dadaanan bago mo makuha gusto mo ma achive
