Im using UBUNTU 16.04 LTS version quite a while. My question is, how safe ubuntu? I'm an average user who download some of the link provided by our co symbianizers, browsing the web were i don't know if that website is safe or not cuz absolutely not all browsers notifies me that these site has vulnerable and blah blah blah. thanks!

Walang system ang safe. tandaan mu yan. pero as per ubuntu or any linux distro.. dapat lagi lang updated ung PC for security updates. Compare kay windows,
mas safe si ubuntu

to check for updates... open terminal. type in sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade -y
ayan kung naka standard user ka lang at di ka nakaroot.

hindi po lahat ng Windows app ay compatible sa linux, iba po ang structure ng programs n gawa sa linux and windows, pero merong emulator for linux OS para i run ung mga windows app natin, search nyo po ung WineHQ...

Please take note po na like most emulators, hndi lahat ng apps/software ay mag ru-run or mag wowork as design pag ni run sa linux.

install po Steam para sa DOTA 2, or mag SteamOS ka (Linux based OS din yon for Steam Games) Ran online di ko alam search mo na lang

for general gaming, better use windows rather than linux, most fixes ng games na may errors ay intended for windows, pinapahirapan niyo lang sarili niyo kung gagamit kayo ng ibang OS for games, pero if you are very familiar sa OS na yan, then it's up to you

Pwede pa pang Games yang OS na yan? like mga DOTA 2, Ran online?

1. Kung yung game na gusto mo may available na download pang-Linux
2. Pwede Mag-install ng Wine, para gumana yung ibang (hindi lahat) game ng Windows sa Linux. Sabi nga ni icemanx2, pwede natin malaman kung supported yung ni Wine yung game sa website nila (WineHQ). Pwede din mag-request dun na i-support nila kung wala pa.
3. Gumamit/mag-install ng Virtual Machine tapos mag-install ng OS na pwede ka mag-laro. Example ng Virtual Machine: Virtualbox, VMWare, KVM (additional examples - click me) Eto option mo kung ayaw nung Wine, dapat lang doble kayod pc mo. Sa ganito ko napagana LOL habang nasa office ako (ahehehe).

Pwede ka rin mag-install ng Steam sa Linux, pero depende pa rin sa game yun kung may pang-linux sila na download. Example Dota2, meron ata sila Linux download nung nag-try ako last year September

FYI hindi lahat ng update maganda. bago mag-update basa muna.minsan kahit nasa stable branch na pwedeng may bug pa rin. madming linux users ang bihira mag-update kung hindi security/patch ang update.

Kali Linux is preloaded na ng pentetration tools, or in other words 'pang-hack'. Ubuntu is kadalasan mas user friendly and mas maganda siyang gamitin ng isang ngmomove from windows to linux or beginner sa linux. Pede ka rn mgpentest using ubuntu pero kelangan mo p syang iinstall.

madami bang apps from windows ang madadala to ubuntu? and nalilito ako daming version ng linux ano ang pinaka maganda sa kanila? hehehe gusto ko ng mag linux magaan eh di naman na ko ganong nag gagames
