SURVEY: What is your ebook reader

question (kindle for dummies, hehe): can the kindle store pdf format ebooks kahit hindi dinownload sa amazon bookstore? I mean all the ebooks here in this forum can be transferred to kindle via usb? hehe. thanks

also, how much kaya pag pina-ship directly from Amazon to Manila? because wala naman akong kilala from US. thanks!

see my post above (ay mali, another page na pala...see my post 171). manila ang destination ng delivery ng kindle na yan.

kindle can read pdf daw, pero marami nagcocomment na its quite a hassle, the best thing for you is to DL prc or mobi files.

ngayon, kung available lang yung ebook na idadownload mo in pdf, html, epub, rtf, lit files, you can still convert the ebook from this format to mobi/prc via Calibre library management software (search mo lang sa internet and download it).

im currently arranging all my ebooks in anticipation of kindle

so it means around $180 lang pala dapat ishell out ko. kasi i tried computing pag i-courier through fedex. eh halos double sa price ng kindle ang cost.

maybe you have the site where i can order na $180 lang ang credit sakin?

^Go to Amazon.com directly and add to cart the Kindle 3 you prefer. With just wifi or eifi with 3G.

sa Amazon mismo yan. i did not choose expedited shipping if ever there was an option.

the kindle version i test is wifi only which is USD 139 + handling and import duties = usd 180.

bye bye ebook reader. next year na lang. na ipambili ko na ng dslr. tyaga muna sa psp.

Just got back from B&N tonight and I got me some reading materials for Nook Color. It looks nice but yeah... I prefer the e-Ink or Mirasol color screen. It got bigger storage 8GB but I don't think there's a microsd card though. It wasn't mention...

Are the font sizes adjustable, wi-fi and browser?

I don't know, but I think it does. :) Maybe you could call CDR King there if they would know about it. Tapos post mo dito para malaman namin din. :D

@lycan, maganda nga if may different colors. Aside sa white I want to see black, red/pink or blue. :)

@all nkakaeye strain ang lcd diba?

^@Boynxtdor2: Yup... at least for me Oo. May iba kasi ok lang sila kahit how many hours na sila nag st-stare sa LCD screen, okay pa din sila. Me, I can't kasi. Nagluluha ang mga mata ko kahit na ina-adjust ko na yung brightness etc... Kaya e-Ink is best for me. :)

^ hi guys! i agree with ms. diokdin.. lcd causes eye strain (sakin din). Yun and number one factor why i bought an e reader with e-ink. Mas tumaas grado ng eye glasses ko nung nagbasa ako ng sobra sobra using laptop/nds/psp and i hate it kaya lang.. wala na, nangyari na.. i just have to prevent further deterioration :)

Malabo narin kasi paningin ko pag malayo eh..pero wala pa akong glasses..pwede pa ba ibalik yung normal eyesight? Off topic..

^ it would be better if you ask that from a professional not to us. unless there's an opthalmologist in the house.

@boynxtdor2
