As the cold breeze hummed a song

The joy of seeing you again

The moonlight shone on your skin
As I stood there in awe ; wondering
There we were, locked in an embrace
Gently, as the soft music fades

I looked into your eyes and see
Flashbacks and memories of you and me
As the night engulfs our misery
A light of hope I wish I’d see

Let me have this last dance with you
For saying goodbye is so hard to do
Let me hear your heartbeat
As I hold back the tears of grief

Let me feel the magic that has gone
Far away into our Neverland
Our bodies sway yet we wouldn’t stay
Slowly, our time’s betrayed

As our bodies danced closer
As our heartbeats rhymed
I’d wish to go back in time
When the sun used to shine

Stuck in this hollow garden of memories
I look at the bleak sky ; staring down on me
I screamed your name as the thunder roared
I felt the pain as the rain poured

I wandered endlessly
Trying to find who we used to be
Each path I took belonged to you
Each step I take, leads me back to you

Now even the moon doesn’t shine
There is no more music, let alone a rhyme
The moment you left was the last time
I felt

I loved
I died.
